Jen, I didn't stamp punctuation (although that might be a good idea, not all sets have punctuation), but I stamped "special" stamps within sets. For example, one of my sets had dollar and # signs.

OK...here is the deal. The inner hoarder is getting concerned, she is afraid I am going to purge stamps.

The unofficial total...just missing the absentee ballots (meaning I have 2 small baskets and some strays to count)...is 4881 (474 are wood mounted, the rest acrylic)

I have stopped for now, because PA me would have me counting every last hanging chad of a stamp! Now I have to do my layout and write my blog...and then maybe get back to the absentee ballots

I forgot about my stamping wheels - I have 10 wheels making my new total 996. I just placed an order with SU - two sets and one wheel. This will add another 15 to my total which will put me over the 1000 mark with 1011.

I definitely can NOT share this info with dh!

Scrappnbee-I went and visited your blog today, and it just cracked me up! What a sense of humor, and hum, do I really even have time to even count my stamps?

isn't it amazing all the strange places that stamps migrate to when you are not looking? I got my layout done, but big storms and 4 tiny power outages (just enough to reset the clocks and direct TV) have kept me from my blog...

Will try again after work today to get it up...logging off before I flicker again...

You know after seeing how many stamps other people have I'm feeling pretty normal......and a little competitive. I WANT 10,000 stamps. Somebody better bring me a straight jacket, of course I'll need it for sure after I've finished cataloging the ones I do have.

Jen after seeing how many stamps others have, I can't even play this week.

Pam, I have a lot of Technique Tuesday stamps that are in the document boxes I got at Target. There are a few that seem really sticky to me. I wonder if there's a chemical reaction happening to those? I'm going to put something inbetween the stamps and the box. just in case. Thanks for sharing that with us!

I have a modest collection and I keep it modest because I like to be able to see all the pretties.

PS the sets are in a drawer.

I just went and bought more, haven't counted them into mt stash yet. But I did have a brain wave. I thought that maybe after I'm done cataloging my stamps I could scan the pages, shrink them down enough to make a mini catalog to take with me, maybe.

Did Leigh Anne end up going into labour?? She didn't come back

Glad my tip helped you Hilde!! I did the same thing as you, grabed some stamps and stamped away while watching TV. The only difference is my index is in a roladex, not a binder.

I'm impressed you guys actually counted all of your stamps!! I don't think I would have had the patience. Besides, I'd rather keep my head in the sand on some things

I'm catching-up little by little.

Question of the week: How many individual stamps do you have?

I'm not even going there! But I have set a limit for myself going forward. I max out at the number of stamp sets that fit into my 5-drawer tower. If it's full, I'll have to sell-off some sets in order to purchase new ones.

I've updated my blog with some photos for everyone. Off to the next challenge. I'm almost back in step with everyone!

I like my stamps to be within easy reach and all together. I store them by theme in plastic containers. That way, if I want floral, I just pick up the container(s) that are marked floral. Keeps everything nice and neat and super easy to find. My unmounted stamps are stored in CD cases.

I was listening Paperclipping yesterday and got these two links. I thought I should post them here in case:

1) anyone (maybe me) hasn't finished with stamps yet
2) the organizational challenge gets redone again and someone else needs them.
