Good evening ladies...
Guess what? This week, we're past the half-way point in this challenge! Can you believe that?
Question of the week: This week, I'm making the question of the week more of an assignment. When you read Wookiemouse's blog for this week, she mentions taking a picture of your progress... For this week, this is my challenge to you: First, ofcourse, take a picture. Remember the picture you took in week 2? Pull it out. Put your pictures from week 2 and week 15 side by side. Compare... Take some notes. Think about where you were/where you are. Think about where you're going.
Oh, and don't forget to post your pictures/thoughts!
Here are the links for this week:
wookiemouse's blog and the original two peas thread.

This was a fast one. (kinda handy because tonight I'm off to a weekend workshop, not scrap related) I do not have that many inkt pads, but they where al over the place some in my drawer some in my tote, acrilic blocks with the stamps and where the heck is my water spritser...
Wel needles to say before i found what i needed the fun was over...
Now everything is together, hope that works for me.
I have my sponges and gloves in little plastic containers in there too.
I marked the pads on the back and the sides with the collor so I can store them upside down and still see what collor it is.

I just wanted to pop in and say ... I GOT THE JOB!!! I'm so excited!! It's exactly what I want and it's part time (so more scrapping time!!) and it's just perfect!!
My inks and things are pretty reasonably organized. They are in two drawers or the shelf hubby made for me on the wall. I'll take a pictures once I get back from my retreat this weekend
Life is great!! Have a great weekend!!

Happy cleaning everyone! |

Kris, congratulations! What exciting news! Do tell us more!
I must admit I'm a little relieved that a new week has begun I didn't do too well this past week. I'm looking forward to your assignment this week, Crisann. I believe there's a detectable difference, it'll be fun to see.
I complained a while back on the stamping board about my stamp pad fading, now I'm curious to see whether more of my pads have changed colors... Exciting times...

This one is easy for me. I've had my inks, pads and embossing stuff stored all nice and organized all along so this one is a breeze. Will continue working on my stamps which are still not finished being organized. |

I've been out-of-action for a few weeks due to a Spring break vacation ... did anyone miss me?! Getting back on track and posting for weeks 12 through 14 on the weekly threads, as well as updating my blog.
I'll be back for week 15 once I get caught-up! |

Good thing this is already under control because I've worked 79 hours this week. I took the lid off a divided plastic box and have it standing upright. Each division holds three ink pads. Then I have a box that holds Cat eyes and ink petals that I also have my sponges and embossing things stored in for stamping. |

...tap...tap...is this thing on?
Just wanted to bring the thread back to the first page - no languishing on page three allowed!
I have accomplished step one of this week's challenge - emptied all my stamp pads onto the bed in my space! You know - can't make an omelette without braking eggs, can't organize without making a mess Now, I'll go look at them. I have no idea where to put them.
Realized I have quite a few, but they're older now - having sat around for the last three-four years. Some of them looked a bit dry. For fun I put three drops of water into a small SU spot to see if it would "loosen up". We'll see |

So I've gathered, all the ink, ink pads, embossing powders from all of their hidey holes. They fit 2 of my CD boxes. (only 1 empty box left and the cubbies will be full)
I've separated the inks by types in the boxes. One box is sprays and liquid types. The other is ink pads. Each box has the tools in it that I use for that kind of ink. Though, I left my heat gun in the crop bag with the more general tools.
I'm not quite done yet. I would like to find a way to remember what colours there are. I've made a couple of mistakes and bought the same colour twice. |

Since I started as a stamper, I do have a ton of inks, embossing powders, etc. Everything is already organized, but I am working on making a color chart. All my cat eyes, dew drops etc are already done. But doing the colorbox rainbox pads with like 12 small pads each . . . yikes. Still have my full size pads to do too. I've used the color charts already, and boy are they handy to match. I did a color chart when I first bought my pen sets and use it extensively, so it just made sense, don't know why I waited so long!
I've been MIA as we are seriously pursueing purchasing a new home! It is exhausting viewing homes and going through the process. We made an offer last week and they declined the offer which was very fair. Oh well!

Well, I think I'm caught-up to week 15 and have updated my blog with photos.
All my ink pads (and markers) are stored in an Exclusive Inks Organizer from CTMH. It holds all 60 ink pads and 76 markers, plus it turns for easy access. I've got it up on my Expedite to help keep my desk area clear. Right now I only own 2 re-inkers, but as that changes, I'll order the matching Re-Inker Tray from CTMH to keep them all together.
My VersaMark and Staz-On pads are in a 3-drawer Sterlite container that holds my embossing stuff. I've just started embossing, so my stash is small and fits in one drawer of the Sterlite organizer.
Now that I'm caught-up (except for the dreaded photos), I'm starting some Mother's Day projects this afternoon. Plus, seems I'm helping my oldest daughter paper-mache a helmet for her Social Studies class. |

My Inks are already organized (thank goodness!!) since I crop around alot, and ink alot (see stamp week-LOL!) ...time to quit procrastinating to get this LO done so that I can *gasp* hotograph my space...and you can see how wellI am doing at transitionin my space! |

why not make a quick index card for each box? nothing too fancy, just write down the color for each ink pad or cat eye. this way, when you go shopping, you can just grab the index card for each box and you'll have something to refer to at the store.
When you get home, as you put your goodies away, just make a note of the new ink color and pop the card and goody back into the box!!

I am back from a last minute vacation, so I now have ribbon and stamps and ink to catch up on! Think I will just take my time and hope that I can get caught up during some future weeks when it is something I have all under control.
Some of my ink pads are already in a wooden cd-type rack on the wall, but I need to deal with those other ones and the embossing powders etc.
ScrappnBee, enjoyed your pictures and I am encouraged to keep going! Love that you can get those layouts done, too. Way to go.

I just happened to open my embossing drawer, and someone I know spilled a whole lot of gold embossing powder in the drawer. I'm pretty sure my vacuum is going to be all sparkly!
I also threw out 20+ cats eyes. Most all of them were beyond saving. Apparently they multiplied like little rabbits though. I still have 8 chestnut roans.
Why don't Tim's do that? |

I'm not there yet either, but inks and powders are in place. I don't own that many, so it was easy week. I have a small wirebasket stand next to my desk, on a former night table. On the bother shelf I have three containers with my most used embossingpowders. next to it is a container with the other embossingpowders, two botles of stickels and a few re-inkers.. I have here also a ziplock bag with some cut up sponges to use as applicators.
The middle shelf is for all my other inks and my Ranger foam applier thingy with the extra foam.
I use my inks on every single card/ project I make, so they have to be as close as possible!!!
I will TRY to make pictures this week, but I don't promise whatsoever...

Then again, even I really don't have room to talk. I've had so much going on that I haven't accomplished too much of anything either, so...

Good afternoon Crisann and all,
Sorry I didn't get a picture posted, but I can definitely see progress.
I vote that we don't fault ourselves for this week. As you said, Crisann, we have come a long way, past the half way point. Main thing for me is to hang in there and keep going. I absolutely want to finish this challenge.
Some weeks life gets in the way, but we can all get there if we just stay together and do the best we can. I will try for a picture in a coming week! Promise!

I realize that we have been living in a peep and chocolate bunny coma (and swearing off hard boiled eggs for the next 6 months ), but it is time to perk up!

If not this week, take a pic...even a "my scrap space is caught in a scrap bermuda triangle/ Dorothy size tornado" its OK! *You ROCK!* |

Peer pressure works on me ...
I took two photos of my scroffice in progress, mainly my Expedite and the "ugly corner" where things are getting dumped (temporarily). Most of my organizing is "behind closed doors", or should I say, containers. The pretty stage won't happen until the final weeks of the challenge.

I'm embarassed to say I went to a crop in March and just dumped my stuff back in my room, then 3 weeks later went on Spring Break w/ a family crisis after. My room looks like He-double hockey sticks, lol. I'm thinking I'll get off the computer & get to work on it.
Luckily my inks and paints are all organized and I don't own any stickles(GASP!!!). One thing I'd like to learn this summer is to but a heat gun and emboss my cards.
eta: Buy not but a heatgun, lol

This was a pretty easy challenge week for me. I've always kept my inks and embossing things together in the same area. They are right where I can see them and easily get to them. I don't think I've ever considered changing this as it just works so well. I LOVE IT!
