My mother works for them and she said they are down sizing it. They superwalmarts will have a 4 ft section.

Stickers. Lots of stickers. Seriously, how many stickers does a scrapbooker need?
Well actually my Wal Marts also have lots of paper. Not much left of Cuttlebug but a good selection of the Cricut and Martha Stewart products for some reason.

The scrapbooking section at our WM has dwindled down to nothing & other things have filled the space. Good thing Hobby Lobby is moving there store just across the street from it!

They didn't even downsize our section, just the SELECTION! There are all these paper pads hanging up and taking up the entire left side of the aisle. They do have textured white and textured black, but having looked at them closer, I would only use them in an emergency because they have a really strange finish! At least they have the Cricut Lites, but there are only two I really want. The big box stores are 30 miles away, and there is NO LSS anywhere near me. I am back to kit clubs and ordering online I guess.

Mine is done too, but they added a whole bunch of bling. I am excited about that, kinda pricey, but looks like cool stuff! Lots more paper selection, and all the stacks are $5, so cardstock there just got a lot cheaper. The only thing I can't figure out is why the clearance pads of cardstock are still more expensive than the new stuff, they have the same amount of papers in them!!!

My WM scaled back a long time ago. Now it seems that they only carry old Martha Stewart stuff. It hasn't been worth checking out the scrapbooking aisle in over a year!

Ours has looked like that for over a year. Its one aisle that has Cricut stuff- A bit of MArtha stewart stuff, lots of pioneer albums, some pads of paper, some stamps... the inventory hasn't changed ever except for the carts

No, no. I mean all that stuff is gone too! The few stamps and MS stuff was quite a step above what is left now.

mine is the same way, although they do still have the ad-tech adhesives. the entire scrapping section is about 3/4 of one side of an aisle.
unfortunately i have to drive 60 miles to get to a BBS and have to go about 100 mi to find a LSS
thank goodness for free shipping over $50 from twopeas!!

The amount of scrapbook stuff at my local Walmart just doubled this week. Thank goodness. They have pegs for all 24 Cricut cartridges, although they only have about half of those in. They have a big section of $1 stickers (Stick-o, etc.) and they have an empty section for Jolees that are still to come. They have a new section for Bling and some new K&Co embellishments. They also are starting to get the Colorbok pads in. Using pegs for those looks like a ridiculous waste of space to me.
Martha & the old Cricut stuff was moved over the clearance, but the Cricut prices aren't really clearance prices.
We have 8 Walmarts in central Ohio. I know of 2 that have switched over to the new stuff.

At least yours still had brads, our clerk didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked her if they didn't have any brads It had downsized so much, it's hardly worth going there, but the nearest scrap stores, H.L. J's M's is about 100 miles away.

Everyone that is unhappy with their scrapbooking section please voice your opinions to their home office or a letter to their President. I'm waiting for them to reset ours...it's been small for quite awhile but is almost empty now. I probably will be making a call too.
I just read last week that they are pulling some items they had previously deleted from their inventory back to the stores because of customer demand. I'm not sure what all the products are but at least they have listened to the customers on some items.
I know it may not help, but it certainly can't hurt and I have seen results when I worked there from customer's calling and writing home office. I know the manager of our store hasn't been happy with a lot of the changes that have occurred...but it's out of his hands that's why customers need to reply directly to the home office or President.
I know the economy is bad but if they carried quality items that us scrapbookers/stampers and general crafters want...they would see an increase in their sales for that department.
I've started ordering a lot of stuff on-line from other companies because they just don't have what I want.

I have pretty much decided to stop shopping at WM. Since our store remodeled a few months ago, they carry almost nothing I want anymore. They still had some SB stuff, but now they are getting rid of that. It used to be WM had everything you needed, but those days appear to be gone.

Same here. I was just at WM this afternoon and couldn't believe that the small scrapping section they had has gotten even smaller. No Martha Stewart products, no Autumn Leaves stamps, no Scotch adhesives - quick dry, etc., no Zig glue pens or red line tape. And no more mats for the Expression - just the baby bug. They did get in some of the new Cricut Lite carts but there were a lot of empty spots for those. And they now carry more than several colors of the Cricut vinyl which they never carried any of before.

The WM that I shop at just reset their scrapbooking aisle. All stickers, a few Xacto products, a few Cricut items mixed in with all those Lite cartridges. I was really disappointed.
I wouldn't shop there but I have lots of furchildren. It would cost me a fortune at other stores. Nothing against WM I just don't like the lines they carry any more. I only buy pet items out of there now.

I've started only going to WM once every two weeks. I was shocked at the little section of scrapbook items! Before the LSSs closed, I rarely shopped WM. Preferred to give the LSSs my money. Now WM could be selling a lot more but they have slimmed down the choices. Not good timing on their part in this area.

Ours is reset...an entire aisle both sides. Lots of stickers, all the Cricut Lite carts, and the new BLING! I love it, glad there is some new stuff...with all the different coordinating bling lines, I'm happy. I also want some of the Lite cartridges, just don't want to pay $39 for them!!!

I hear you! I was at my local Wal Mart this afternoon and noticed that they moved all their scrapping stuff from a big, highly visible aisle to a smaller facing aisle with far fewer products. No Martha Stewart, no Autumn Leaves (in fact, no stamps at all) - just a limited small display of Jolee's/bling, a few scrapbooks, Cricut supplies, and smaller items (i.e., adhesives, etc.). I was very disappointed. It's been at least a year since the major remodeling and I have to say, their scrapbook area has been nothing since they remodeled - and is even less now. Before the remodeling, we had at least two aisles of scrapbooking materials to choose from. Has the scrapbooking craze dwindled that much??

THey downsized ours last year when they remodeled. Didn't downsize but it is worse, just Cricut cartridges, I doubt very many people here HAVE Cricuts since the dept manager says hardly any machines have been sold. A little paper, tons of stickers, some albums and a little paper. It is pathetic. I don't need or want a Cricut, got TONS of dies and like dies better. I do nothing BUT computer at work, I want to relax and NOT use a computer at home!
