You got more responses over at the NSBR than here, lol. I just made my first wedding card two weeks ago. I need to do another for the end of Aug. I also need to do one for a 50th. wedding aniv. I have been trying to make more cards, I made 6 grad. cards this year so I am doing pretty good.

Hi all. I am good on this week's category as I have my blank envelopes in a shoebox size container.

Question of the week: I have done Christmas cards, graduation announcements and things like that. I started doing it because I already had a lot of the supplies from Scrapbooking. So, I figured why not use them up.

Truth is, I ended up buying more stamps and ink and all that stuff!

I keep my already made cards, or cards received in photo boxes. All jumbled up, not nicely sorted out by theme.
My pre-made card bases, envelopes are all in a clear tote on the shelf.
I am on a waiting list for a "booth" at a crafty place downtown, and I want to sell individual cards and sets. I thought along with the regular seasonal cards, I would make some basic HELLO type ones. We'll see how it turns out. Things are always so much better in thought version, than actual version! lol

he he he I'm ahead of myself FOR A CHANGE!! I just bought a box to hold my completed cards! I am trying to build a "stash" of pre-made general purpose cards - friends, birthday, congratulations, etc.

I'm such a slacker organizer these days but with this darn heat, I'm spending most of my time in water (aka parent's pool) these days!

QOTW : Yes, I started making cards when I realized how much stuff I was accumulating. I keep a photo box full of all types of cards, birthdays, anniversaries, sympathy ... my box has saved my tush several times when we've been running out the door to go somewhere and *oops we forgot the card!*. Even DH has been known to go through the box when he needs something.

Several times a year I do card blitzes. I take one of my overflowing scrap drawers, a drawer of stamps and set up shop. I make as many as can for a couple of evenings in a row, file them in the photo box and I'm good to go for awhile. I do keep a list of cards I need over the next couple of months or ones I'm getting low on if they're more generic.

The odd time I will sit down to make a card as I need it, but that doesn't happen too often.

Hello, where are you all????
Is it the heat or what... We are in our second heatwave over here and lost the worldcupfinale from Spain yesterday.
My man are down and today it rained cats and dogs,oh well that seems to go with the overall mood in our country....

I,m not a card maker, but on occasion I do when I do not have something that fits my need.
My supplies are housed in a plastic shoebox.

pitje,
So sorry about your loss in World Cup, but you can be proud of your team to make it so far.

It is hot here also, and with summer activities guess I am taking a break from scrapbooking.

crisann: How are the classes going?

Kris74: Good idea about the ready to go Card Box.

Where is everyone? oops guess that means me too.

I'm not really a card maker. I do them occasionally but not not enough to have stuff for it.

That said, I have one box of envelopes tucked in my 'odd sizes' box for emergency cards. (like, OMG that birthday card has to go in the mail now)

Have you seen Madagascar?? It's the cartoon movie with the lion, zebra, hippo and giraffe.

Crack a lackin' is what the zebra says .... complete slang, but my 4 year old says it all the time.

It means getting a move on and stop spending so much time procrastinating.
