Help me, my dear friends! Pretty please!

I just got a Cricut but now I need to know which software to get. I know I do not want Cricut Design Studio... but which is better ... Sure Cuts A Lot or Make the Cut? Any input you gurus have would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a million!

Have fun with whatever you decide! I've had an expression for about 2 years now--and loved it before I switched to digital!! But my granddaughter comes over and makes cards, so it gets used once in awhile at least!! I have the design studio, but never really used that. One of my dd's has Sure cuts a lot and she loves it. But she got it before the other program came out. Maybe you should post on the general sb board and get some talk about it.

Hi Betsy! I have Sure Cuts A Lot. I am not familiar with the differences between the two programs, because I have never used Make the Cut. But I can tell you that I L*O*V*E Sure Cuts a Lot. My favorite features are:

-cuts any truetype font
-cuts any image, clip art, or dingbat
-you can break apart the different parts of the image and hide those you don't want to cut, then show them for the next cut (great for cutting from multiple colors of paper)
-cuts svg files and there are tons of free ones on the web

If you have any questions about something specific you are looking for, feel free to ask me. I can check it out and see if the program has what you are looking for.

I have SCAL because I have a Mac. I love it! Super easy to use! I would have avoided MTC even if I had a Windows machine though because they're getting ready to be sued or being sued by Cricut for copyright infringement.
