Hey guys! I'm glad you're interested in this course!
A bunch of us went through it together at the end of 2010. It's really easy to go through it in a self-guided way, though. Just go to the top of the Photography message board to the thread called "12 Weeks to Better Photography: Start Here" and begin with week one.
If you want, post a request on the photo board for others to join you. I'm sure there will be interest -- there always is!
Good luck. I may pop in on a few of the lessons myself from time to time!

I think you should go ahead - I check in every time something new is posted, or at least take a look!
Also, my DD, DS and DH and going to do this. They might only get through part, but hey, even a few lessons is something!

I would love to start this with a group, too! I tried to do it on my own last year, but life got in the way. LOL! Do you think we should start a new thread for each week or just tack on to the old ones. Might be nice to have a fresh start to along with the fresh new year. What does everyone think?

If you do start a new series of threads, just make sure to name them something distinct -- that way people won't get confused.
Maybe: 12 Weeks Course: Week One (Aperture) and so on.

Amanda....how do we post a request on the top of the Photoboard for others to join. I'm blind I guess because I dont see it anywhere? I know of several that joined this group at the same time as me........we are new at this and have some learning to do to navigate thru this forum. Just dont have the hang of it all yet but will eventually. | |

I just purchased my first DSLR (Canon 60D) and decided to start this class. I have seen some others posting here recently.. so I hope that I can get some feedback.

Good job on the assignment Pilotswife, but you need to 1) go into photobucket and resize to 600 along the long side, 2) post your pics in our new thread Aperature Training Week 1. I know it's confusing. This one is the one from 2010. |

I'm coming in late. I actually lost my battery charger.  Finally found it..behind the TV (gotta love kids).
Here are my week one pics. I am still rocking a kit lens, so I can only go to a f/3.5, but I think you can tell the differences.

New HERE but Love Photography and have been doing it for over 35 year's but Only really getting into for last 8 months now.
