morning ladies!

this week, we're organizing ideas.

here's this week's links:

wookiemouse's blog

original two peas thread

checklist of things to do during week 7 -
1. read wookiemouse's blog post.
2. organize your ideas.
3. answer the question of the week on this thread.

question of the week: this week's question is less of a question and more of an assignment. i want you to sit down for a few minutes and look through the challenge list. i want you make your own progress report, kind of like what i did last week. i want you to really realize where you are and where you're going, if that makes sense. no one's behind, per se. we all just have different strengths and weaknesses. for some of us, it's paper and photos. for others, they're going to spend 3 weeks organizing their embellishments. there are also going to be weeks where you'll have none/just a few of something, so you'll "catch up" some then, but this isn't a race... i was still talking about paper, when everyone else was doing photos.

so, take a few minutes and rate your progress... maybe, make a list and stick it in your scrap space where you'll see it everyday. cross the weeks off as you complete them, if you're the type that does better with lists. whatever it takes, just keep pluggin'...

Read the blog -read the blog and some of her system was a bit overwhelming for me BUT it does look very efficient. My ideas are stored digitally by the classes I have taken, the sketch section, Scraplift section and then by name. I have bookmarked blogs that give me lots of good ideas like Jennifer McGuire, Cathy Zielske, Studio Calico, Hero Arts, The Daily Marker, and May Flaum. I am taking Nic Howard's class next so will most likely add her to the list. On Two Peas - I have Peas bookmarked and some layouts. If I like a card or layout I copy the image, GIVE CREDIT TO THE DESIGNER, and save it in my scraplift folder. If it is someone that I lift from all the time they have their own folder. I just learned about CASE - Copy, And Selectively Edit (or copy exactly) on the stamping board and will be doing the same thing with cards and then organized by the person whose cards they are.

I do print out some items like class instructions and Jennifer McGuire Thinking Inking both series. Those are kept in binders because I use them all the time.

week 01. space audit. - done
week 02. brainstorming. done
organize your stuff challenge (round 3). week 03. DONE!
week 04. paper. -- still working on and on and on and trying to find a system that works for me organizational love the CH boxes but also physically they are too heavy to lift. ANYONE REMEMBER THAT TOTE ON WHEELS THAT POPPED UP TO STORE PAPER? OPINIONS ON THAT? I HAVE ONE STASHED IN A CLOSET...sorry for the hijack.
week 05. scraps. -- under control
week 06. photos. -- years 1984-1994 are only partially organized. Rest are ok. FIL's heritage photos I am thinking are DH's photo organization problem. But all are scanned in soooooo I guess it is time for the scrapbook to be made!
week 07. ideas. -- See above. Kept the mags that I liked -like some Simple Scrapbooks.
week 08. projects, complete pages, and kits. -- hahahahaha I have these little pieces of tried projects or almost completed ones with no real place to go and leftovers of other projects
week 09. embellishments. -- mostly under control
week 10. alphas. -- UGH I have sooooooo many
week 11. non-alpha stickers and rub-ons. -- DONE!
week 12. ribbon, thread, and fibers. -- I won't be here that week -please note screen name. Have you watched the new Yours, Mine and Ours where she is organized but it looks like a mess but that is how she works? I think I am going for that system.....
week 13. stamps. -- is a daily process. Sentiment stamps are out of control.
week 14. crop supplies. -- I do not crop outside my house because I would have to take my room with me.
week 15. ink, ink pads, embossing. - working on it
week 16. paints, glitter, and stickles - working on it
week 17. punches. thinking about it. Right now have my favs on my desk.
week 18. tools and adhesive. - DONE DONE DONE well just need to label the drawers
week 19. chipboard (raw). -- DO NOT GET ME STARTED. I have way too much but mostly organized. Every now and then though a lost stash appears...
week 20. die cuts. -- DONE!
week 21. pens and pencils. - Wicked done
week 22. dies for die cutting machines. -- Done.
week 23. templates. -- DONE
week 24. memorabilia. - Will be absent this week. Most of what is organized is in Hollinger Memorabilia Containers just not labeled yet.
week 25. negatives. - years noted above are all over the place and may just go in a box that is not particularly organized as we are scanning in important photos.
week 26. new items and keeping it neat. - at least once a week
week 27. fonts. - computer fonts? DONE.
week 28. cards and card-making supplies. Well they were neatly organized before SOF started. A bit messy back there but a good mess.
week 29. room and space decor. Needs to be painted but no one will move my two 5x5 expedits out of the way. Might paint around them or add a border. Curtains love them but are a bit faded. Color scheme is yellow and blue but I hate the wall to wall carpet...beige berber - yuch!

Thanks Crisann for the inspiration to look at this a "climb" as the song says!

I am actually good with my ideas. I have a couple of small folders and a couple of magazines. I don't have much and I'm keeping what I do have so I'M DONE!!! LOL!

week 01. space audit. - DONE
week 02. brainstorming. - DONE
week 03. clean slate. - Didn't do, I need my stuff accessible...
week 04. paper. - DONE (with reservations...it's usable but I'm not super happy with it)
week 05. scraps. - DONE
week 06. photos. - WIP (word in progress)
week 07. ideas. - DONE
week 08. projects, complete pages, and kits. - I'm going to spend this week redoing my album organization...should be "fun".
week 09. embellishments. - DONE
week 10. alphas. - DONE
week 11. non-alpha stickers and rub-ons. - DONE
week 12. ribbon, thread, and fibers. - DONE
week 13. stamps. - Needs a little work
week 14. crop supplies. - DONE (don't go to crops anymore)
week 15. ink, ink pads, embossing. - DONE
week 16. paints, glitter, and stickles. - DONE
week 17. punches. - Needs some work
week 18. tools and adhesive. - DONE
week 19. chipboard (raw). - DONE
week 20. die cuts. - (I don't have any)
week 21. pens and pencils. - DONE
week 22. dies for die cutting machines. - DONE
week 23. templates. - DONE
week 24. memorabilia. - DONE (I don't have any)
week 25. negatives. - My goal for this is to be done with photos so I can finish organizing the photos and negatives together.
week 26. new items and keeping it neat. - DONE (I have a box for this)
week 27. fonts. - DONE
week 28. cards and card-making supplies. - DONE
week 29. room and space decor. - WIP here too. As I'm rearranging other things I'm figuring out what I was displayed and not...what color of curtains I'd like to hang, etc. Hopefully I'll be done with everything else by the time week 29 comes around!

OK I feel OK with how things are going and I'm SO glad each organization challenge is a week long! Trying to tackle it ALL all at once would be way overwhelming. I know some things kind of merge into others but getting plenty of time to do them both helps out tremendously!

okay, now doesn't that feel great? see, you're probably already further ahead than you thought you were, aren't you?

i am officially done with paper and scraps, labels and all...

this week, i'm planning on finishing up pictures.

so, i finally solved the pse8 "mystery." unfortunately i ended up w/ a mac os program instead of a pc os program... that sucks b/c neither staples nor adobe will let me return it, b/c it's been so long. hello! it's not like i ever thought to check that... c'mon - staples f-ed that one up - not me. at any rate, s/o is going to try to reason w/ them and if that doesn't work, he's just going to buy me pse9 and we'll, probably, sell pse8.

Thank you for this week's question, Crisann! I'm starting to feel overwhelmed about getting organized (in the rest of my life as well as my scrapping). A chance to take stock is just what's needed.

But my littlest just woke up (early) from his nap, so I guess I'll have to get back to this tonight. That's the root of my overwhelmed feelings, the constant interruptions by boys. Sigh.

"I'll be back!"

I took the day off from organizing today. I needed to re-focus.
Thanks, Crisann and everyone, for all the encouragement. I'll catch up. Afterall, my room didn't get this way over night.

Here's my progress report:
week 01. space audit. - DONE
week 02. brainstorming. - DONE
week 03. clean slate. - not something I'm going to mess with.
week 04. paper. - could be a few more weeks before this is where I'm happy with it.
week 05. scraps. - DONE
week 06. photos. - Digital done, photo boxes are a work-in-progress
week 07. ideas. - easy does it, mostly sketches-already filed accordingly, class ideas need to be filed in binders (BPS, 2peas, etc).
week 08. projects, complete pages, and kits. - mostly done. Completed pages need to be placed in albums (yet to be purchased)
week 09. embellishments. - DONE
week 10. alphas. - DONE
week 11. non-alpha stickers and rub-ons. - DONE
week 12. ribbon, thread, and fibers. - DONE
week 13. stamps- if I'm not going to use them, I need to sell them!
week 14. crop supplies. DONE
week 15. ink, ink pads, embossing. - DONE
week 16. paints, glitter, and stickles. - DONE
week 17. punches. - DONE
week 18. tools and adhesive. - DONE
week 19. chipboard (raw). - DONE
week 20. die cuts. ?? Cricut stuff has a home (sort of)
week 21. pens and pencils. - DONE
week 22. dies for die cutting machines. - DONE
week 23. templates. - DONE
week 24. memorabilia. another thing that may take awhile, it's everywhere.
week 25. negatives. - DONE
week 26. new items and keeping it neat. I've managed to use the new items in layouts I've completed recently. That's new for me. Usually, new items sit for weeks (months?!) before they see the light of day on a layout or project. NEAT? Well, that's why I'm in the organizational challenge, in the first place
week 27. fonts. DONE, don't have any.
week 28. cards and card-making supplies. DONE. Once I mail out this box of cards to Cards for Heroes and this year's Christmas cards, I'm over the card-making.
week 29. room and space decor. Working on it...once the desk goes and my new Expedit is in place, I'm all set. I hope!

I've got alot more accomplished than I thought. Just that I look at my room and see so much stuff everywhere. Guess, it will only get better with time and motivation.

I didn't have time to work on my photos this week because I was too busy with work and my other activities. I'll save them for another week such as pens and pencils when I don't have anything to do. Most of them are organized anyway except for the heritage pictures.

I have most of my ideas organized into binders so this will be an easy week for me.

I bought a new bookcase for my family room today so I will have a place to store a lot of my scrapbooks. Getting them out of this little room will make it a lot easier to organize my stuff. The great thing about this bookcase is that the shelves are 15 inches deep. I've been looking for that for a long time!

I feel the same way ScrappnBee Sure, the "early" big ones are done, but I still have some doozies coming up.

Speaking of, can everyone who's DONE ideas please post pictures. I've tried so many things that I'm not sure what to try next.

Thanks

Daisymarie- I am jealous of both your idea book and your 15 inch deep shelves! Is it a custom cabinit, or is it something the rest of us peas could find?

Kris74- I second! I love to see pics!

Posted round 3 part 1 on my blog, and I highlighted some places where I get my "virtual" ideas.

So I just have a quick question...
If I'm done with my homework (meaning my ideas are as sorted as they will ever by)...am I allowed to go shopping again???? LOL!

I'm behind on posting photos to my blog but hoping to get that done this evening.

Editing to add my blog link! I'm all caught up with blog posts. I'm going to spend the rest of the week messing with photos!

Margharita Machine??? Well this sounds fabulous!! I'm in! But you also better keep it handy for Memoribilia week as well Congrats on the DT ScrappnBee!!

I was thinking about the Carrie Underwood layout you to do for the challenge. What about all in pink?? Whenever I think of her, all I see is pink!

Looks like a lot of us are in a good spot - some weeks we're close to done, other weeks will be a little tough.

Keep it up ladies - we're doing great!!

Margarita machine?? Where do I sign up for THAT?? LOL!
I did purchase my bucket. I didn't behave too bad.

And my paper...*sigh*, I purchased a jetmax cube for it but now it doesn't all fit. So I just need to use it up! Which I'm working on...especially now that my photos are organized enough to use them, LOL!

ScrappnBee Congratulations!

Kris - Carrie Underwood just doesn't sing pink to me but Taylor Swift does = "Romeo and Juliet it's a love story" seems all pink. I do love love love Carrie Underwood though. But due to several long distance trips with youngest DD I have most of Taylor Swift's songs memorized!

This week will be pretty easy for me. Several years ago I started an ideas binder. Last round I purged my piles of magazines and added pages to my binder. This round, I'm just purging from my binder. Anything that's outdated or I've already used I'm getting rid of.

So here's where I stand in this round:

week 01. space audit. DONE
week 02. brainstorming. DONE
week 03. clean slate. DONE
week 04. paper. DONE
week 05. scraps. DONE
week 06. photos. Almost done backing up digital pics. If I ignore my printed pics, does it mean I can call them organized?? This will be a MAJOR job for me.
week 07. ideas. Purging idea binder, then I'll be DONE.
week 08. projects, complete pages, and kits. MAJOR project!! And one I might be ready to face. I'll get a head start when I finish with ideas this week.
week 09. embellishments. Mostly organized, just need to get those items that have strayed.
week 10. alphas. Need to do
week 11. non-alpha stickers and rub-ons. Need to do
week 12. ribbon, thread, and fibers. DONE. I just need to not add to my collection.
week 13. stamps. Needs work - mostly in one place now, need to mount new sets and finish stamp catalog.
week 14. crop supplies. DONE
week 15. ink, ink pads, embossing. DONE
week 16. paints, glitter, and stickles. I have ONE bottle of stickles, so I think that will be pretty easy to take care of
week 17. punches. DONE - Need to finish punch ring
week 18. tools and adhesive. DONE??
week 19. chipboard (raw). Need to do, but only have a few items
week 20. die cuts. Need to purge old die cuts!!
week 21. pens and pencils. DONE
week 22. dies for die cutting machines. DONE - don't have either
week 23. templates. DONE
week 24. memorabilia. MAJOR undertaking and one that scares me! I have so much stuff I have saved and want to use on projects.
week 25. negatives. Need to do - although I have no idea what to do with all those negatives.
week 26. new items and keeping it neat. Need process for putting new stuff away rather than just piling it up or stuffing it in a corner.
week 27. fonts. DONE
week 28. cards and card-making supplies. DONE
week 29. room and space decor. to do

Blog read!
I don't really keep ideas - I keep my photos etc ready to scrap but I very rarely work from 'ideas' in books or whatever. I prefer to do my own thing. I have maybe 3 or 4 books & they are on my bookcase

week 01. space audit Done - see post on week 1 Slightly difficult as only just moved in so nothing is 'working' or 'not working' particularly well right now
week 02. brainstorming. Done
week 03. clean slate As I've only just moved in and have no spare space I couldn't do this, but I did this last time & some of the stuff is still in it's 'category' boxes!
week 04. paper Finding this one very difficult as I have no home for paper just yet until much of the rest of the room is tidy. Still struggling over CH vertical holders vs something else!
week 05. scraps Will work on this once I have my paper sorted out! I have some ideas though & will definitely incorporate my smaller papers into the system.
week 06. photos I did the Library of Memories class at BPS last time round, and my printed pics are in binders on the bookshelf. My digi ones are in a mess still - I started tagging but then bought a new laptop & the tags etc didn't transfer properly. Have just found that some didn't fully restore either - luckily they are on the back up so I need to work on that soon too! I need to get the recent pics printed too!
week 07. ideas I don't really use ideas
week 08. projects, complete pages, and kits. La, la, la, la
Sorry, did somebody say there was something this week? I can't hear you ... La, la, la .... Seriously, I have a mountain of finished pages but as I am being made redundant at Christmas I am not sure I can afford to buy new binders for them right now. I don't really use kits etc but I do have one section of my expedit where I'm storing unfinished (or even not-yet-started!) projects for now
week 09. embellishments. My brads/eyelets/small bits are fully sorted. I have no ideas for the rest of my embellishments - I'll be looking for ideas!
week 10. alphas. I know where they are, does that count? No real plans for these - I need to work on it!
week 11. non-alpha stickers and rub-ons. Again, I know where they are as they were corralled last time - needs work!
week 12. ribbon, thread, and fibers. Well, they are sorted by colour, but the containers they are in aren't at all pretty and may not fit in the new space - I may need to rethink - but I do know that I need these sorted by colour as they are, and I can live with them the way they are if needed
week 13. stamps. I know what I'm doing with them (I think!) but it is going to take time - lots of time! I can't seem to part with stamps even if I don't often use them - I love having the variety ! They are pretty much sorted by theme (eg words together, flowers etc)
week 14. crop supplies. I don't really crop outside the home, but I do want to work on having a small amount of stuff easily accessible at all times & transportable if I do need/want to craft elsewhere
week 15. ink, ink pads, embossing. I need to purchase the storage for this (budgeted), but it requires a 2 hr drive each way to get it. Again I know what I want to do, I just need to make it happen (and pref before the bad weather!)
week 16. paints, glitter, and stickles. Working on it - they are corralled so I know where they are & I have some ideas ...
week 17. punches. Some ideas, but nothing firm - prob need to get rid of some of the teeny punches I never use!
week 18. tools and adhesive. Need to really get this pared down to the essentials & get iot working for me. I have spare sets of spare sets of spare scissors etc & more types of glue that I need!
week 19. chipboard (raw). I don't have a huge amount - it will need a space in the expedit but not anticipating it being a problem
week 20. die cuts. I don't really have any of these
week 21. pens and pencils. Need to sort & purge to essentials - I do NOT need as much as I have
week 22. dies for die cutting machines. yes I DO need all my dies! no I don't know where they are going to live permanently!
week 23. templates. I only have 2 or 3 so shouldn't be a problem
week 24. memorabilia. I store this with the photos they go with (in the binders) generally
week 25. negatives. I don't really see the point in keeping them. CD backups on the other hand ... actually they aren't *too* bad ...
week 26. new items and keeping it neat. We'll think about this when the room is looking far neater than it is now! Havings aid that, I rarely shop for new stuff!
week 27. fonts. Probably need to work on this, but buying a new computer helped naturally!
week 28. cards and card-making supplies. Surprisingly my card blanks & envelopes are really well sorted - need a way of storing cards that I have made & that are awaiting use. I don't have any other "card making" supplies separate from general scrapping/crafting
week 29. room and space decor. When I find the right fabric I will make curtains for my room - but I have the basic furniture etc already. I do need to work on "finishing touches" once the rest of the room is done - I'd like one of those wall quotes & maybe a few other bits

I have a "week 30" of my own to add - other craft supplies! I have supplies for many other crafts as I've dabbled in so many over the years. I need to be able to focus on these sometime & make sure they are stored accessibly and that I def want to keep my pyrography irons, encaustic iron/blocks, lace bobbins etc etc. I love to use bits of "other crafts" in my scrapping & I was using things like home made lace & crocheted flowers way before they became popular!

Ha! The Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville Margarita Maker (was at Costco at some point) is a staple in the kitchen! (but can be substituted with a well apointed blender).

UK Heli! We have missed you!!! We will help you through this!

Weaser & Pampered Princess-Good Job!

I agree, Taylor Swift is more pink than Carrie Underwood. Right now, I am torn between So Small (visiting my newborn nephew last july), Whenever you remember(2007 County Fair & rodeo), or Jesus take the Wheel (taking off DS's training wheels). Maybe I'll do all 3 and have you guys vote!

Thanks ScrappnBee!

I wasn't here for the last couple of weeks partly 'cos it was paper & I really can't get my head round that at the moment until I am further into the room, and partly because I had my Dad visiting for the first time since I moved house & thus I had to put all my energy into getting the guest room ready for use - it was far from perfect in that there were 3 boxes stacked in the corner, my scrapbook paper on the dresser (all of it ) and the bedding was the old stuff that doesn't match the room at all, but the bed was accessible & the room useable.

I have commitments tonight & tomorrow night after work but I do intend to spend a good part of this coming weekend working on my craft space - I miss not being able to get in there & play!

I finished purging my idea binders. YEAH! I also went through my idea books and found that I have several SU catalogs from my demo days. For now I'm going to keep one of each, but I need to get rid of the others. Other than ebay and splitcoaststampers, any ideas where I could sell them?

Now that I'm done with this week's challenge, I'm going to continue to ignore my piles of printed pics and look ahead to next week's challenge - projects. I will probably be working on this one for a few weeks.

Crisann - LOVE the new picture!! Nice to have a face for SO. I have one of those unfinished IKEA shelves that has about a foot and a half under the bottom shelf that I stuff "extras". This is where my pile of albums go. Not very helpful, sorry. Yay for having your shelves back!!

I can't wait to see the 3 layouts ScrappnBee. They all sounds fabulous!!

Weaser - I just put a bunch of mine in the LSS garage sale. Does your LSS have a sale??

I'm loving everyone's comments on their lists. Sounds like everyone is keeping their sense of humour with this challenge.

ScrappnBee - good ideas

Weaser - WoW!

Crisann -ALL ununsed albums no matter the theme are on two shelves in one of my Expedit. The little premade albums like cardstock ones are in small drawer unit.

Warning to all - Thursday's episode of CSI is on deathSSSS in a hoarder's home only this hoarder's STASH was neatly organized (or so it seemed from the commercial) in PLASTIC BINS WITH WHITE TOPS. You get the picture - stay away from the TV on Thursday or you might see a white bin with scrapbooking supplies in it on TV

OK. Finally getting back to this. Life is a little crazy around here.

Read Wookiemouse's blog - check
Starting to organize (and purge) my stacks of ideas. I have hoarding issues with magazines here. I started to tear out pages a year or so ago, but lost momentum and wound up with scattered piles of mag. pages that I refued to toss. Kinda worse than stack of mags. So my dining room table is idea central for the moment while I decide on categories to file them in and set up my binders. I like the idea of card files, but there is no way I'll scan and print, then cut & paste to maintain that system. Slipping things is page protectors is all I can manage for maintenance. I'm toying with the idea of a board for 'hot' inspiration - the things I'm dying to do right NOW, but I'll finish the binders first.

Thanks everyone!

Almost done with LO #1. Got sidetracked with middle schooler homework.
1 magazine down...this is hard!

Crisann-Same here. On a shelf in my expedit.

Loveribbons-might just have to watch that episode!

McLisa-you and me both. Hit the 20's and bright shiny objects took over my life!

ScrappnBee--My bookcase with the 15 in. deep shelves was delivered yesterday afternoon. It's part of the Kathy Ireland Collection by Martin Furniture. I bought it at a big store in KC called Nebraska Furniture Mart.

I'm going to start carrying my albums down to the family room after work and figure out how to arrange it. It won't hold all of my albums (I have about 36) but it will free up a lot of space in my scrapbook room so I can organize.

Good morning everyone. To answer the "unused albums" question: I keep my regular-sized (8.5x11,12x12) in a bookcase and my small, different type sbs in an old "pantry" cabinet that I used to have in my kitchen. And yes, they need to be gone thru and reorganized. DaisyMarie, your bookcase sounds like just the thing; it's hard to find a 15" deep one. And we have no IKEA stores around here. Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm STILL working on paper....Maria

I think I finished off the last of my paper organizing last night. I was denying the existence of a couple little 'special' stashes that needed to be reunited with the rest of the paper.

Magazine pages have taken over my dining room table. I'm purging/sorting whenever I have a couple minutes, which isn't really that often this week. I'll be away for the weekend, so I'm thinking of packing this project for something to do while sitting around in the hotel. I'll have lots more photos to organize when we get home!

daisymarie - you'll have to post pics of your cabinets. They sound great!

scrappnbee - I don't think I'd want my dh "helping" me purge anything scrap related. It would probably all end up in the trash.

LydiaInk - great idea taking your magazines to purge while you have free time. Hopefully, you'll come back with a lighter load.

For storing unused albums - I have 2-3 12x12 albums that are waiting for pages and they sit on a shelf in my storage closet. I have several mini albums that are in a basket in my closet. scraproom Pic #4 shows my 12x12 albums, pic #5 shows the baskets - only one holds mini albums.

Leisa - GO VOLS!

Weaser - my DH would not throw anything away but would start a mental calculation of just how much everything in that room cost

My albums are now kept on a couple of shelf units from walmart. I modified them a bit to get them to work. I keep my "to be filled" ones with my filled ones. I figure I'll fill them eventually and they need a home anyway.

And I keep my husband OUT of my scrap area. He's asked me a couple of times how much money I've spent on SB stuff. I then asked him if he REALLLLLY wanted to know the answer to that, LOL!

loveribbons - s/o was throwing one of his little tantrums about my spending not too long ago. after we were done screaming at eachother, i said i wanted a budget, complete w/ a little pie chart. lmao...

too funny!

note: i got the budget, not the little pie chart

i haven't been sticking to it, obviously. i mean, c'mon, he bought a motorcycle and a boat this year. give me a break!

Crisann - my DH has a Canon 5D and someone has to document those pictures. Enough said.

To All - Quotes from CSI episode on hoarders from the Dr. studying the hoarder

"a hoarder organizes her world visually and vertically by stacking sorted items"

referring to clear plastic bins filled with items - Dr. says "those look like time capsules, items that are sorted into a single plastic container to be DEALT WITH LATER"

So what does this all mean about my Expedits and the boxes that still need to be sorted

omg! i swear, that boy better watch it or he's going to be single! i'm going to strangle him this week... if it's not one thing, it's another.

my bookcases are still... well, one's in the living room - the other two are on the enclosed porch. he's yet to help me w/ them.

in other news, i know. i've, more or less, been mia this week. it's been one of those weeks. can you tell?

just for the entertainment value, he ticked me off, i think, tuesday at like 8am - entirely too early for his crap - i threw my keys at him (i know, i should've thrown something much heavier, but that was all i had in my hands, other than my cappucino). tonight, i don't even know what his problem is, so... grr...

seriously though, i'm seriously lacking in the patience department this week. thor would be so happy to go live w/ max and bailey (my parents' dogs) and i'd have a ton more space to spread out. lol... (i'm almost not kidding).

ok, vent over... back to your regularly-scheduled organizing...

Working on my list, and working slowly on my room. Started with a 2 x 3 wire cube and quickly realized that a 3 x 3 would work better. All but two boxes are in the room! yeah!

As for the DH worrying about how much I spend? We got over that a long time ago! I hear you Crisann about the boat and motorcycle purchase! DH has a sailboat or two (we build them) and a glider (which we also build . . . so really they are business?) We do not begrudge each other, but both try to make wise decisions! Dh realizes that it brings me joy, and he enjoys my scrapbooks! Now to just actually get back to the fun part!

Why am I not making progress this week? My back has been agonizingly sore; injured during the move and continually sore all summer. Been walking and doing my stretches.
