Oh you need a <<<HUG>>>! And it is ok to vent. I have virtually moved your bookcases off the porch and into your room!

The week is almost over and I've gone through one magazine of ideas, ugh! I'm going to a scrap on Saturday so no organizing then and tomorrow I need to catch up on household duties double ugh! Hopefully I will get some time in to sort ideas.

Do any of you know what's a good size to scan pictures into your computer so that you get a good quality image and it doesn't take half a day just to scan one picture?

LoveRibbons - HA! Thankfully I pay all the bills and keep track of the budget so I'm the one showing HIM pie charts.

Oh man - I totally missed the Hoarder CSI episode tonight. I bet that was very interesting.

Crisann - we have "blow money" budgeted for each of us each paycheck. It's not a huge amount, but we can spend it on whatever we want - no questions asked. DH would have to save up a LONG time to have enough to buy a boat or a motorcycle though.

artist-ju - look at it this way - one less magazine to go through. Just keep at and enjoy your scrapping this weekend! Sorry no help on the scanning question.

Leisa - GO VOLS!

loveribbons - i'm calm now, i think...

weaser - it's long and complicated, but... um, yea... obviously, we haven't quite managed to agree on certain things yet - this being one of them.

we're obviously two very different people w/ very different priorities and interests. sometimes, i wonder how we've lasted this long... i mean, we love eachother, but we agree on very little, so our relationship is, er... "exciting," to say the least.

LoveRibbons, that was a great episode! It did make me feel a little bit better about my sb space! So far, I haven't found any dead bodies in there (unless you count a spider here and there!) And those stacked "time capsule" boxes must be for memorabilia week...

crisann, just when you think that a man can't be any more of a a##hole, they'll do something really nice, like move bookcases off the porch. Hope this happens at your house tonite! (Mine is in a##hole mode for now...)

Hope everyone is getting more done than me...I'm still struggling with paper. But it's looking better. Maria

Sorry I have been out of the loop the last couple of days! CSI is on the DVR still. I did get three Carrie Underwood LOs done. Did mental battle with the DH (resorted to consuming copious ammounts of wine) but we are OK now. Got through 3 magazines...I guess that this will be my paper week. Here is my Ideas Part 2!

ScrappnBee - loved all those LOs! Hard choice to make. And finally I figured out who PA me and POW me were - I looked at the whole blog page! I have the attention span of a fly visually at least. Cute blog.

Well I just placed my last order for stash for a long time. Ordered the reinkers I needed to get my old ink pads going again! That's it. Time to get serious back there. My DS is bringing his girlfriend home to meet us <sniff sniff happy mother tears> and I realized that his scrapbook has one page in it!!! His Eagle Scout album is not done. What if SHE wants to see pictures of him as a little guy??? Those pics are not organized yet because I procrastinated last week and played the challenges in SOF!

So tomorrow I must restore some order to the old pics, pull out some ideas (this week's focus!) and make some pages

ScrappnBee, my favorite of your "country music" l/o's is the rodeo one; I love the pictures of your little ones (especially with the corn dogs!)
And I'm not sure, but I think that you're supposed to drink whiskey if you're working on a country music l/o! Good luck with the contest. Maria

P.S. I'm ssstttiiilll working on paper.... Maria

Maria- don't worry. I have a feeling that Ideas wis going to be my cross to bear for the rest of this challenge...or until we get to memorobelia. than I am going on vacation! This is not the pile you are looking for!

Lovesribbons-don't sweat it. You are just as human as the rest of us... you are human right? LOL! Supermoms and perfection only happen on TV. Sorry about the confusion with the abreviations...it just took to long to write out, so I just put up the sidebar with the info to make it easier...

Ideas - just realized that almost all my idea books are still sitting on the coffee table waiting to be put away. I should say DH pointed this out to me after I was reading the description of a hoarder which I was accusing him of being when he pointed out that all the book clutter in this room was mine. Guess I was in denial about idea week But remember this is my FIRST time through this challenge!

ScrappnBee - Thanks for the encouragement! My Girl Friday who messed up my photos several times over did manage to scan in some she was using to make a collage for her brother's graduation in 2007 which makes me think the baby pictures are in 2007. I found the digital file and have baby pictures etc. This is such a relief because I cannot find many of them out in the picture sort area because she never put the actual photos back in their spot. BUT DH made the digital file and seriously PRAISE GOD! Pulled up the photo printer and the idea books and I am going to get to work.

Boy I really have some sorting messes going on here.

And memorabilia week - so where are we going on vacation? Some place where we cannot find any memorabilia or take any pictures??? How about a scrap get away?? Anyone else avoiding that week please join!

Idea week was pretty quick and painless for me. I have a tiny binder that I keep printouts of some of Becky Higgins' layouts when they were on CK's site. I also stamped some of my sentiment stamps on white paper to put in there so I can find them easily when I'm looking for something specific.

Instead of putting that whole list of everything we are doing for this challenge, I will just tell you this is my first round and I am up to date except for pictures. I posted my photo organization and then realized I still have all those old pictures I "inherited" when my father passed away a few years ago. So, I am currently waiting for the next paycheck to purchase more storage for all my heritage and childhood photos.

On a completely random note, I've been sick all week and haven't felt like doing much, so I started redoing all the labels on the sides of my albums so that they look better/match. The ones that don't have labels are getting binder clips/paper clips with tags so that they look all pretty like

ScrappinBee - Love, love, love your layouts. My favorite is Jesus take the wheel. I love that you used the song on a totally non-country theme! And I love that song too.

LoveRibbons - "My DS is bringing his girlfriend home" I really had to do a double take on this line - I thought it read "My DH is bringing his girlfriend home" LOL! So glad you found some pics to work with. I'm sure the girlfriend won't care if they aren't in an album yet.

kware - hope you feel better soon. Way to go - organizing while you're sick. Sounds like you've got a great start on this.

I am all for a vacation during memorabilia week! Otherwise, I may need to put on my blinders and continue to ignore all that stuff.
