Do I get a prize?
I'm looking forward to this week's assignments; I don't have any sports to shoot, but I have a toddler and a cat who's usually running away, so I'm covered there! LOL |

I got a couple of the shots for this week yesterday (made poor DH dizzy, riding his bike back and forth in front of the house, trying to get a panning shot! LOL) but I need to try to get the indoor blur today... I don't have any sporting events, so I think I have to skip that one... |

Ah, the requisite "kid jumping" photos. Will try to do some of the others ones listed in this week's lesson.
5D 24-70mm lens, ISO100 SS 1/1250, f/2.8, 50mm
Love that he was looking at me, but he didn't get "big air" and I was too close . . .
And, gotta see what is in the camera:

Alison, those are awesome! I love how you managed to keep the blue sky properly exposed. I always have trouble with that. Great job! |

Experiment with panning (Not great, but I was more focused (Heh. Focused.) on getting the movement down than the focus... but he's certainly *more* in focus than the background! LOL)
Image shot at f/16, 1/25ss, ISO 400, 85mm
Embrace indoor blur (He's waving at me... I can get him to do stuff if it's simple enough that he doesn't have to take his eyes off the TV )
Image shot at f/2.8, 1/13ss, ISO 800, 35-70mm @ 70mm
Portrait of pet in action (Geoffrey is spectacularly lazy; this as "in action" as he gets!)
Image shot at f/1.8, 1/60ss, ISO 800, 85mm
Fast shutter speed to catch motion
Image shot at f/1.8, 1/1600ss, ISO 800, 85mm

I didn't take this picture this week, obviously (since there is snow on the ground) -- but each Fall when the city workers come around to blow out the fire hydrants, all the kids don their bathing suits and follow them around like they are the pied piepers. This year, I was ready with the camera.
This is our neighbor holding my youngest. It's one of my favorites.
