Crisann - You just dance your little heart out. I don't think anyone is in too big of a hurry with organizing this week

I will deal with counting later, but I will say I have my paints, glitter, and stickles in a shoebox each. All with room to grow So I am done

Back to scrapping I go .... Hope everyone with kids home/returning from school has a wonderful week together. Remember as you're refereeing your third fight in an hour ... it will be short lived and before you know it, they're back at school!!

2. answer the question of the week on this thread. LATER

4. have yourself a very merry christmas/happy holiday. ON MY TO DO LIST!

I bought a few more stickles on Friday since my LSS was having a sale. Had to reorganize a bit so I could put them away as they had outgrown they're cube in my MM organizer thingy. I've separated my Distress Stickles from the regulare and found that I have way more Distress now. I also have duplicates since they are an impulse buy and I don't always remember what I have.

Glitter is good, it's in a plastic drawer and not used much. Paint is simply in a box. Not used much for scrapbooking so I won't worry much about it.

My oldest has been down with another fever and swollen tonsels since Saturday, so not sure how much I'll be around this week. If I don't make it back, Merry Christmas everyone!

OK. You made me do it. I counted:

14 regular stickles,
21 Distress stickles and
22 spray inks of various brands (but mostly Glimmer Mist).

Should I be embarrassed? I'm not!

question of the week: for awhile, stickles were like "the in-things." now, it seems to be glimmer mists... so how many stickles do you have? glimmer mists?

I will also count later. I have way more stickles than glimmer mists. My issue is that glimmer mists are messy and the nozzles keep clogging. Its just not worth it to me to unclog them (time wise) since I don't get a lot of time to scrap anyway. So, I'll stick with stickles! (oh bad pun, LOL)

checklist of things to do during week 16 -

1. read the week 16 post on wookiemouse's blog. - Done
2. answer the question of the week on this thread. - Done
3. organize your paints, glitters, and stickles. - Done (last weeks blog post covers all but paints and those are in one drawer of a jetmax 4-drawer cube.)
4. have yourself a very merry christmas/happy holiday. - Working on it, LOL! I'm pretty much done with Christmas shopping and I have my meals planned and I've shopped for those too. I just need my mom and brother to get here on the 23rd and then I'm set!

Hope everyone has an awesome Holiday!

Good morning everyone. A quick post to check in and to try to post another photo (stickles storage).

crisann(dancing queen), you're going to be so trim and fit by the time this challenge is over! Thank you again for hosting this round and trying to herd us all in the right direction.

Kris74, your stickles, etc sound like they're all "corralled", so you'll get to make more Christmas cookies and candy! Have fun with your children home for the holidays.

LydiaInk, my glitter is much like yours: in a drawer and not used much. Maybe I'll try to use it some in the coming year, or get rid of it? Hope your son is getting better - my mother always said to gargle with vinegar...

scrappin usmc, I don't have many glimmer-mists either; they do seem to "spurt" out some. Maybe I just need to learn how to use them better or decide that "spurts" are part of the charm.

I've read wookiemouse's blog.
QOTW: I have 24 stickles (only 2 distress ones); a couple of them are clogged and I never remember which ones until I try to use them again. Wouldn't you think that I'd have enuff sense to mark those? And only 7 glimmer-mists; haven't used these too much.

a photo (maybe) of my stickle storage:

Have a Merry Christmas everyone in case I don't make it back to the board before then. Maria

Today DS was home and we had a productive day .... until we went to the library. Borrowed Harry Potter for the Xbox and spent the day playing video games. Well, there's always tomorrow to be productive

Maria - I *could* make some Christmas goodies, but it would be much easier to just glue them to my thighs

I had planned to follow these posts and contrinute tips whenever possible. But, life (and a new business) have gotten in the way.

I hope you're all doing well and am happy to answer specific questions I receive via peamail. I'll then post the questions and answers when appropriate so others can benefit from the info too.

Lydia Ink- I am so jealous! I wish I had as much as you (as I am an obsessive hoarder of all things cool and scrapbooky!) You rock!

My paint, stickles, and glimmer mist are corraled for the moment, and as I am SO behind on Christmas Cookies. PA Me is thinking of breaking into the holiday wine early! back to sewing Christmas pagent costumes! Will count later...

Round 3 paint glitter & stickles

oh no, it's getting closer! I think you may have something there ScrappnBee; liquor is in order.

Kris74, that's really funny! I'm picturing walking around with cookies and fudge attached to thighs and hips. There would always be a snack handy...

LoveRibbons, congratulations to your daughter. And good luck with the laundry.

P.S. I forgot to mention my paints in my other post; they're stored in one of those spin racks that I bought at M's years ago. I used to do more altered stuff so I could (sort of) justify having several paints. Maria

I'm here, I'm here!!!

I thought I'd spend this morning being productive as it's DS's last day at daycare for a week and I have a TON to get done ... but that lasted a couple of hours as I got distracted over lunch with a gf

Anyone know if you can develop a sudden allergy to pine trees?!?! OMG! I walk into my house and I can barely BREATHE!!! Seeing as the laptop is within a foot of the tree I'm guessing that's a culprit. But it's only a guess. I've been fine the rest of the day so it's definitely something in my house that's affecting me ...

pcrfn- At least I'm not alone! Still have to battle my sewing machine and its tension issues or my angel will end up in her daddy's undershirt.

Kris74- I hope it is not the tree! Crisann is right. Technically you can develop an alergy at any time. If you have had this type of tree in your house before though, it might be something else.

OT-seriously! I had dress rehersal for Christmas Play last night, and the Education Director for the church told us that they do not want us to take pictures, as this is sacred. Just keep the pictures in our minds and heart. I so cannot send my mind and heart to grandparents who are waiting for e-mail pics immediately following the event!

Scrappnbee - WHAT???? Our church allows pictures. The pagent is not a service!!!! Went to a wedding where they did that!!!!

Kris - yes that is true. Did you get a different type of tree this year? I have read where you can hose the pollen off the tree and let it dry before bringing it into the house. DS is so allergic we have a fake tree.

Laundry - I can sort of walk down the hall. They have done their own but I still cannot get to the washer to do mine!!! Came home on my broomstick and they got moving! Today's photo prompt from my BPC class was to take a picture of something restful - yeah right!

And my shift key button is sticking because someone's son has been eating while using my laptop.

Just checking in for the week. DH did get snow in NC while there for his grandmother's funeral and the funeral was postponed a day and he ended up staying 2 extra days. Last week was quite hectic with the last week of school and finishing up Christmas shopping and wrapping and dh being gone.

Thankfully, this week is an easy on for me! I will not have a second to even think about scrapbooking or organizing.
QOTW: Sadly, I only have one stickles. Makes for easy organizing though. I just keep it in my crop supplies bag.

checklist of things to do during week 16 -

1. read the week 16 post on wookiemouse's blog. DONE
2. answer the question of the week on this thread. DONE
3. organize your paints, glitters, and stickles. DONE
4. have yourself a very merry christmas/happy holiday. Planning on it!

Checklist for week 16:

1. read the week 16 post on wookiemouse's blog.- DONE

2. answer the question of the week on this thread.- I only have 8 stickles and 2 maya mists. I don't know why, but I usually forget to use them when I scrapbook. I went to a recipe page class at my LSS this week, and we used stickles, glitter, and glimmer mist on some of our pages. They really added a lot to the pages.

3. organize your paints, glitters, and stickles.- I keep my paints in the top of an organizer I bought at Target 6 or 7 years ago. Target sold furniture for scrapbook rooms back then and I bought this when it went on clearance.

4. have yourself a very merry christmas/happy holiday. - Thank you. I'm wishing everyone who is organizing their stuff a wonderful and happy holiday!

Weaser - so sorry you had such a difficult week. I hope you get to enjoy this upcoming week!

Scrappnbee- no sock monster yet today-

Glad you all liked my line-LOL! As for the laundry - I finally got through today and did my own after asking if someone could please take her laundry down off the line (inside) so I could hang up mine. This was after she asked me "Why?" Duh cause for a whole week I have not been able to get to this washer.

And as to why I have not been on this thread more - my DS. I had today off and sat down this AM with my coffee, looking forward to catching up with peaing and also getting something cut with my Silhouette when DS announced he really needed my computer. He is on a fund raising committee at school for children's cancer. DD (the youngest) tells DS "She has to do her scrapbooking stuff cause she is making our tags (I make handmade ones for the special gifts)! It only takes her a few minutes to cut something and then you can have the computer." Please note DD has a laptop that DS could have used as well but she volunteered mine. This all makes me feel guilty. I quickly checked email, cut the item with my Silhouette and turned the machine over. This is the first time I have had to look here ALL DAY!

Ok off to chase DS with the broomstick. He is supposed to be loading the washer with towels and oh here he is eating a cookie and dropping crumbs all over the family room....but it is good to have them home.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

kris - 2 dcwv stacks... one was the rustic one and the other was an ultimate stack that was split into themed mini-stacks... my stepdad actually picked out the ultimate stack. lol... i was, to say the least, impressed.

i never seem to get scrapbooking stuff for christmas - i think alot of the reason is b/c everyone knows i have so much stuff/doesn't know what stuff i don't have. lol...

told mama that next year, i'll probably be asking for cricut cartridges...

I finally counted my stickles (25) and that includes some cheapies I have. I have a whopping 2 Glimmer Mists (that Ihave yet to even crack open LOL) and they all live with all my glitter in a plastic shoebox. Plenty of room to grow.

Cristi - Isn't it great when you get awesome scrappy stuff from someone you didn't expect?? A couple of years ago my BIL actually went to a scrappy store and picked up a few things for me. Even my sister was impressed with him!! I'm hoping he repeated that gift as I still haven't opened the stocking I have at my parents

So what's everyone up to today?? DH wet out for McD's for DS and panzerotti's for us. Big con of not having holiday meals at home as there aren't yummy leftovers Plus after 2 solid days of eating, none of us even want to think about cooking for some reason. Heating up some soup for lunch was as strenuous as it got today

I'm hoping to get into my room and clear out some more stuff. I'm thinking of trying to eliminate an entire shelf! Not sure if it's even possible, but I'm going to give it a try!! The one shelf blocks out most of the light, plus it's tough to get to my cart, plus it just feels so cluttered in there ...

Question of the week: For awhile, stickles were like "the in-things." Now, it seems to be glimmer mists... so how many stickles do you have? Glimmer mists?

Checklist of things to do during week 16 -

1. read the week 16 post on wookiemouse's blog - DONE
2. answer the question of the week on this thread - DONE
3. organize your paints, glitters, and stickles - DONE
4. have yourself a very Merry Christmas/happy holiday - DONE (and the reason while I'm late posting to a few weeks)

Partial re-post from Round 2:

Although I only have a small supply of each of these, I'd probably go with stickles. I can count the bottles I have on one hand, but I really like the effect they add to a project. I did purchase a tube of pearl Create-A-Shade, but I haven't tried it out yet. Maybe that should be a personal challenge for me.

My stickles are stored in that 3-drawer sterlite container with my embossing stuff. I've moved the paint (out of a CTMH distressing kit) over to the stickles drawer so everything is in the same place. That means my distressing kit now holds only the "tools" to distress, such as my texture tools, paint brushes, sanding blocks and edge distresser. My small 1" x 1" distressing inks were also moved out of the kit and into the 3-drawer organizer. I'm amazed how much this little organizer holds.

top: stickles, MS glitter/glittering glue, paint, mini distressing inks & fun flock
middle: Staz-On pads, VersaMark pad, embossing powders and sculpting foam
bottom: heat gun, craft tray, stamp double scrubber and chalks

I think I still have enough room to expand my embossing powder collection, so I'm sticking with this organizer. It's the perfect size for the Expedite cubbies and I even have enough space to store my Prismacolor pencil tin on the top. That takes care of week 16 for me.

And here's the blog post from the last Round --->
Round 2 - week 16

I moved the Sterlite organizer from my 4x4 Expedit over to the new 2x2 Expedit. Besides that, everything else is the same from Round 2. I have exactly 3 bottles of stickles (holiday colors) and no glimmer mist. Although I did purchase a 3-pack of Ranger mini-misters ... just haven't opened the package yet. I can use CTMH re-inkers to create coordinating mist, but haven't tried it yet. As always, intintions are good ... follow-through is a different story.
