So....I love BG, and traveled to my local BL to find a single doilie. Since I really love BG...I traveled farther to a larger store and hit the mother load. I was in heaven, I bought it all, researched what lines I got from which releases, I have a list I was going to share with prices and a picture.
THEN...I started a Sunday school project this morning, making batches of dough with the Big Lots flour I picked up during this magical moment.
FLOUR BEETLES.ALIVE.IN.THE.BAG. Noticed after my second large batch of dough. My husband tells me that is common, except in our combined 79 years, neither one of us has seen this.
The moral of the story...you don't ever get something for nothing.
*** Ok, after taking a pic and looking at all the neat-o stuff...I would have done it all over again, bugs and all. I BG!!!

This happens to me if I don't put my flour in Tupperware soon after I buy it, so I would assume that flour has been sitting in a warehouse for awhile. Can happen to cake mixes too, just gotta watch your dates on the package. Bummer you noticed AFTER making a couple batches of dough.

Lucky you not having bugs in your flour until now, drawing on my home ec background, bugs in flour in not uncommon I always put the flour in the freezer for at least 3 days to kill any bugs and eggs.
