morning! well, if you want to call it that... journal's done! p365 is done! now, it's time to do our thread...

this week, we're organizing our templates.

here's the link to wookiemouse's blog.

question of the week: are you still organizing? are you still scrapbooking? or, at this point, are you just chatting w/ us? in other words, what have you been up to lately?

obviously, i'm chatting w/ you ladies. i'm still organizing, sort of. i'm still scrapbooking, ofcourse.

as far as the organizing goes - like i said, i went and bought new shelving for the closet, which turned into emptying out the entire closet - the contents of which ended up all over my studio, which turned into doing some reorganizing. i'm odd, i know. lol...

at the moment, the closet is pretty much back together. the shelf that was in the closet is now against the wall opposite the infamous bookcases, which meant moving my desk. i'm now facing the door, which is extremely weird!

i'll take some pictures later, maybe.

i still have some painting to do and a wall to fix and some vinyl words to print out and put up, but other than odds 'n ends that i've been putting off, i can say i'm fairly happy w/ this set-up.

not perfect, by any means, but considering there's a very strong possibility i won't be in this room for more than another year or two, i had to draw a line somewhere as to how much time/money to put into this.

oh, and as far as paper - i love mama - really, i do, but now i have a huge stack of paper to sort/put into my ch's - thanks to her/christmas (and yes, i do realize it's february) and my last few sc kits. grr...

happy organizing!

Morning!!

DS is more then excited we got more snow as he wants to shovel. Let's hope his enthusiasm continues when he HAS to shovel when he's a teenager

QOTW:
CHatting - Yes, probably more about randomness then anything else
Scrapping - Absolutely. The past couple of days have been very productive.
Organizing - Still plugging along. I would really like to be able to lose a shelf, or rearrange the room as it's very cramped the way it is, but I can't see that happenning anytime soon. New furniture isn't an option right now so I really need to work with what I already have.

Morning girls! I'm not at home right now but thought I'd pop in and see how everyone is doing! I took my sick kids up to my husbands folks for SuperBowl Sunday.

I am still tweaking things as the weeks go along. I think I've finished the major problem areas for me. I'm also chatting and scrapping when I get the time/mojo.

As for the templates! LOL! I have a few still and they are all in a binder. I should just get rid of them but who knows, they may make a comeback! LOL!

Have a great day! I'll see you all in a couple days!

i have the orange fiskar's shape templates. haven't used them in years. and the larger purple fiskar's shapes. never used them. and 2 of those things that you cut with.........no idea what they are called. you have to get the blade going in a certain direction & hold it against the shape. even tho i haven't used them in years, feel like hanging onto them!

have templates for chalking. Woman did a great demo at Great American scrapbook convention, but I could never really get it. so, these will go!

still haven't taken the laundry basket up to clear off the table.
sigh!

QOTW- LOL! I am here chatting, scrapping - definitely getting a lot more done after last week's reorganize, and I am still organizing. Cleaned up more flower mess this week and going to rehydrate some markers I love today.

Templates: have only a few and they are in a binder. But what to do with my newly purchased Hampton Arts misting screens for Glimmer Mists etc? I have them write now in the top of my SU pad storage thing but not sure I like it there.

Will be back scrapping after church!

Cristi - I so miss sleeping in!! This morning at 7:16, DS announces that he's up and ready to play. He was inches from my face when he said this, so there was no slowly waking up. How's the quitting smoking??

Susan - Hope your scrapping is going well!!

Is anyone else doing the Counterfeit Kit Challenge?? I pulled a bunch of things and they're all together in a basket for now, I figure I'll pull from this "kit" as the mood stikes. We'll see how it goes.

As for templates, I really don't use mine anymore either. Maybe I should add them to the LSS garage sale??

kris - it has it's moments. i feel yucky today - don't want to do anything. nicoderm is not the same as smoking - i'm learning this.

i'm doing well in spurts, i guess... i think i'm going to go eat again. if i still feel like this in a few days, i'm going to nix the patch and just do my 72 hrs and drink lots of water. i'm starting to think this is just dragging out the inevitable.

Keep at it - you're doing great!!

I couldn't handle Nicoderm, made me nauseous. So I chewed LOTS of gum, and ate a bunch of "busy" candy - toffee, starburst, candy that you had to chew a lot! And I kept my hands busy. Scrapping helped a bunch!!

Crisann - YAY! You are doing so well!

Kris - Oh I am so sorry! I feel your pain! DH and I did not sleep well due to thunderstorms with freezing rain and howling winds so we were just resting at 9AM when DD in London called to "chat". "You are not up yet!" I was so exhausted reminded me of her coming in when she was little and announcing it was "panpake" time! Honestly if she wasn't so far away I would have yelled at her!

Haven't done any scrapping yet. Caught up on some correspondence and had a nice chat on Skype with eldest DD. DH has a meeting tonight so I will scrap then. Had just put a 5 lb roaster in when he announced they were having pizza at the meeting It will be done before he leaves so he can carve it up for tomorrow because I am so not cooking!

House is clean, food is prepped, DH went to pick up the pizza so now I am enjoying some quiet time before guests arrive. After they leave , if I'm not too tired I'll try and clean up so tomorrow can be a day for me to just chill and do something I love.

Templates hang nicely on my clip-it-up, I don't know if I use them enough to keep them but I will just b/c one day I will probably have a wild idea on how to use them differently. And I don't need the space for anything else yet.

I have been thinking of buying(not this month though) a desktop clip-it-up to put my acrylic stamps on so they can be right where I work. And then who knows I might add the extra tier to hang my stickers on too

QOTW: I am still organizing and scrapbooking but mostly chatting. Because this is my second year of organizing it is more just keeping up with new stuff and tweaking what I already have done.

eta: i added my studio, here, on two peas as well - thought that'd be easier. lol...

you know, i really should start uploading to only one or the other - that'd be so much easier. then again, i'm the same person who, rarely, uploads projects to the gallery, period.

alright, as promised: the evolution of my studio - the first post includes the pictures i took today.

i finished cleaning up in there and putting away paper and vacuuming, so i figured now would be a good time before i make a mess again. lol...

QOTW--I'm still working on my room to try to make it look and function better. I haven't even tackled my closet yet. Part of my problem is that this room doubles as my home office, and I have stuff I store in my closet for the classes I teach. I'm also the secretary of my HOA so I also have binders for that.

Cristi-- Your SB room is awesome! Every area is neat and organized. Where did you get the desk pad on your table? I could use one like that.

Good morning!

I've been organizing like a fiend, and actually feel guilty that I am not chatting more with this group. It seems like you all know each other, but I'm the new girl who isn't particularly social!

I need to actually scrap. I've felt overwhelmed with re-acquiring scrapbooking materials, and now I need to actually use them.

I've also returned to the classroom this semester, taking over a fifth-grade teaching job for another teacher who had to leave due to her husband's job. It's a job-share, though, so I still have half my week to do other things. But working outside of the home does require some time-management adjustments.

Good morning everyone. I still have a binder of templates (even some alphas that I probably should get rid of) and a drawer with some Coluzzle templates. A few templates hang on the "turnaround" unit close to my work table as I use them more often (a couple of bracket templates and a circle and oval template). This works OK for me so maybe this week I can try to do some more work on those dreaded photos or re-do my alphas.

QOTW: I'm still org., but not as much as I need to! I'm working on that gift sb so that's taking up most of my spare time. And of course I'm chatting, but I've been falling behind these past couple of weeks.

Cristi, Your room looks amazing; I wish I could be so tidy! And I hope your no-smoking effort is going well.

It looks like most of us have our few templates pretty much under control and are still working on other areas. Let's hope we can do some catching-up this week.

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA lately. I took my mom home from hospital last week and got her settled with everything she needed, then Graham (middle boy) came down with the flu and I've been 'stuck' home with him. I get frustrated and cranky (and a lot less chatty) when the boys are needy (and my routines are messed up for too long). And when one is sick, they're all needy. Graham is essential to the emotional balance of both his brothers. So I haven't really been getting much of anything done. Tried to do some scrapping, but the constant interruptions drive me batty. Anyways, they're all back to their usual routines and I'm trying to get mine back, too!

As for templates, I don't really have many so I'm just going to let them be. If I get all motivated, I might put them on a jump ring. Would masks be considered a template? I'm thinking yes. They'll go in page protectors on the jump ring. Darn, just typing that got me motivated. Should just keep my mouth shut. Or fingers still.

Kris - 7:16 IS sleeping in at my house. A few weeks ago, Eric decided 5:30 is a great time to start SINGING! He's old enough to know better!

Cristi - missed that you're quitting smoking - WTG! Do whatever works for you. Your studio is looking great - love the new shelves in your closet and the way you have your desks set up.

QOTW: Still chatting whenever I can. I am scrapping at my regular monthly crops. And I am still working on the organization - not just my scrapping stuff, but my whole house.

As for templates, I think I have some in a drawer in my scrapping closet. I know I have one brass stencil that goes with a SU set and I keep that one with the set. I haven't used any of them for a while. I guess it's time to purge them.

I did go back and purge my pens. I don't have a huge stash. I have my SU pens which are in the case they came in. The rest all fit in a drawer in my scrapping closet. I did go through and check that they worked. I only had two that were dried out. And I discovered that it's about time to replace my black journaling pen.

Cristi - your room looks great. Love the black shelves. Hang in there with the smoking cessation. My dad quit a 2-pack a day habit cold turkey after smoking for over 20 years. If he could do, anything is possible.

Kris - you have been rocking with getting pages done. Way to go. I need to capture a bit of your motivation.

Pam - keep up the organizing. And just jump in on the chatting. You'll get to know everyone soon. Hope your new teaching job goes well. My dd is a 5th grader.

Our snow/ice has finally cleared!!! The kids are back in school after a long 6 day weekend. Our forecast is calling for more snow on Wed - I hope we don't get any. The middle school had a water leak last week during our deep freeze. I suspect it was a frozen pipe that busted. I was afraid they would be closed again today, but only the section with the leak is closed off - mainly the front entrance and main office.

ETA: Lydia - looks like I missed your post. Glad ds is over the flu and everyone's routines are getting back to normal. Hope everything is ok with your mom.

Leisa - GO VOLS!

Crisann - I love the way your room looks! If you don't like the chrome shelves in the closet you can always take them out and spray paint them black and the spring and then have SO bring them back in But did inspire me to redo a small closet in my room!

Lydia - You sound like you have been really busy! Glad to hear your Mom is back home and on the mend. I hope things can slow down for you!

Leisa - more snow??? Wow! Does your school district have bad weather days set aside into the schedule?

DaisyMarie - I put my school textbooks up on the top of the Expedit with some really strong bookends so far so good! Gave me back about 4 cubbies in my Expedit.

Maria - Thanks for reminding me of my Coluzzle templates! Those are in a drawer by themselves. I should get them out and use them. I see Nichol Magourick using them in her videos!

Jen - How is your quilt coming?

Olive - just join in!

Today I am going to catch up on May's class although I have decided that keeping up with assignments is stressing me out to no end. I have to rethink this whole process. I am getting a little obsessed

LoveRibbons- I'm working on my quilt today, so far I'm loving the way the pieces are looking, I'm doing a Lonestar quilt in some pretty awesome shimmery fabrics, black and aqua are the colors I'm using.

Christi- your closet looks great, I'm wishing I had the extra space, every corner of my room is full of something.

Checking in while I'm waiting on my supper to finish up (sloppy joes, mashed potatoes, and peas).

Susan, Sometimes I forget what I've got too - this organization challenge has helped me to "rediscover" many supplies hiding in my workspace.

Pam, Yes, just jump right in. This is the first time that I've participated in a challenge here on 2Peas and the girls are really friendly and helpful. And so patient with me and my "technical difficulties".

Lydia, Glad to hear that your Mom got to go home from the hospital; hope her recovery goes well. Hope your middle son is well on his way to feeling better too.

Jen, Your quilt sounds beautiful. I've always wanted to tackle one some day, but I think I'd better stick to one hobby at a time.

Leisa, A 6-day weekend! You deserve a break all by yourself this week.

I'd better get back to my taters; will check in tomorrow. Maria

kris - ds can come work here - shovel snow, stack wood - whatever he wants to do. lol... i wanted to do the counterfeit kit challenge, but i just haven't gotten to it. i've been doing the nicoderm and chewing lots of gum and eating constantly.

jen - nichol magourik, i think, has her acrylic stamps on a clip-it-up. oh, and give it some time - you all know i have a serious shopping issue. i'm sure it'll look just as cluttered as it did within a few months. lol...

daisymarie - that makes organizing a pain! i'm so glad i don't have to share my space w/ anyone or anything else.

pam - no worries - just jump right in - we have a question of the week each week and we just talk about whatever - what we're organizing, what we're scrapbooking, what we're doing, day-to-day... also, best of luck w/ your teaching/job-share!

maria - it's a rare day that my room's that clean - actually, already today, my new studio calico kit is all over my desk, hand-outs from may's class are on the desk behind me... you get the idea, i'm sure. lol...

lydia - i'm happy to "see" you, but not happy to hear your boys are/were needy/sick. hope they're feeling better! hope your mom's doing well too!

leisa - i'm so tired of snow! we're supposed to get another 1-3" tonight, i think.

susan - i haven't even started yet.

i was actually just thinking about bpc the other night - something's got to give! do you ladies have any idea how many classes i've signed up for vs. how many i've actually completed? seriously, i want to do jenni bowlin's class - after that, no more expensive ones this year. besides, the next two 4 experts ones don't really seem interesting anyway. as far as the shorter/less expensive ones, i think i'll just play those by ear b/c i wanted to do the rest of the picture series and i love may flaum, so... i just never have the time to do everything i want to.

ok, so...

everyone that commented about the quitting smoking - thanks! i'm trying. i think i have like a week left of this step, then we step down. i told s/o to keep his mouth shut until it's been like 2 weeks w/o any nicotine in my system, then he can say whatever he wants. lol...

everyone that commented about my studio - thanks! you know, i finished this saturday night. s/o walked in like mid-day sunday and said: "you rearranged?" i said: "yea, yesterday." like seriously, you'd think he would've noticed, at the very least, sunday morning. oy! men!

i think i'm completely caught up now...

Crisann - LOL! I love the classes too but feel bad that I am not doing the layouts. I had a picture for layout 1 and then realized that I had a whole set of pictures that go with that one and so I wouldn't do it that way. On the other hand I would like to try that technique so I am going back there with the mindset of TRYING a new technique instead of getting a page done although perhaps I will like it enough to put it in DS's book. I do think though that this will be it for awhile for me. I would take the paint one if it included videos and not just handouts. For something that complicated I need a video. That is just my two cents. Same with May's class I need a video that is why I love following the classes here, Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire. Sorry blabbing!

Susan - yes, more snow is on it's way. At least that's what the forecast is calling for. We have 2 snow days built into the school calendar. We've had 4 snow days already with possibly 1 or 2 more this week. Usually when is does snow, it's gone in a day. But I did hear that we are only to going to have to make up two days.

Maria - I would love a whole week to myself, but I'll be satisfied with just a regular school day.

Jen - Your quilt does sound beautiful! I would love to learn to quilt, but I think my dh would shoot me if I picked up another craft!

Lydia - Sorry I missed the news about your mom's surgery and hospital stay during pens week. That was the week I was having to deal with rental house repairs and dh was out of town all week. I totally skipped that thread. Glad to hear that she was able to go home.

Is it bad when you cannot even find your templates to figure out how to store them correctly?

QOTW:
Organizing- ummm...I am messy and I have 3 kids. I always need to organize (or at least OCD ME needs to!)
Scrapping-Absolutely! I scrap more with this challenge than anything else!
Chatting-I try. Unfortunately, I am not a Tiger Mom, and so my 3 kids have a life...and therefore I have none. However, I do try.

Today, I packed DH up for a confrence in CA, spent the day disecting frogs with 7th graders as a parent helper (God bless the kid who asked me...quite seriously...if I was a surgeon taking the day off to help w frogs!) Then Dinner, then cub scouts scrapbook meeting...and now, I cannot find my templates! Oh well...

PS-Cristi-Keep it up!!!!

Morning Girls!
I am home again. YEAH! Love my in-laws but boy do I love sleeping in my own bed, LOL! I still have a sick kid. This is bordering on ridiculous!!!!!!!!! He's going back to the doctor today.

Cristi-I will check out your scrap room shortly. Good luck with the quitting smoking thing. DH has used Chantix a couple of times. Yes, he's quit twice and then just started smoking again. He says it works. he just "likes" to smoke.

Kris - sleeping in until 7 would be heaven in my house too! This morning my little guy was awake at 5:30.

Jen - How did your superbowl fest go??

Pam - Just jump on in. We are all slogging away at organizing together. Keep up the organizing. Just make sure you share what you've completed so we can oooh and ahhh over it!!!

Lydia - Having sick kids messes with routine here too. IT sucks!!!!!!

Leisa - glad your weather cleared. Guess you'd better restock your pantry before you guys get hit again!!!

Maria - I've also "found" things I didn't know I had! I LOVE it because I've also used them.

Amanda - no its not a bad thing to not find your templates. When you do find them, you'll know you can get rid of them! Or give them to your kids to use.

OK I think I'm back in the swing of things. I hope I didn't miss anyone! I need to get my January photos printed so I'm going to work on that and making some birthday cards this week!!

Just checking in quick am at work:
Crisann -yeah -but I did get wind into my sails after 9:30P not good. I will post what I did. I am going to use it on my happy color assignment and then do today's prompt. Not sure I will get those particular layouts done but I have one with embossing and distressing on it that I will post instead. It is also for the Sketch Monthly class here too. But with the embossing and distressing it can count for class.

Morning, just popping in quick before picking up DS.

I know 7 is "sleeping in" for most people, we got off lucky as DS is a "sleeper-inner" as I am. As *soon* as he knew his numbers we bought him a digital clock for his room. The rule is *always*, unless it's an emergency, he needs to stay in his room, preferably in his bed until it's 7am. Of course, if he's sick or nightmares it counts as an emergency. But if he needs to tell us a knock knock joke, that is not an emergency. It works pretty well for the most part.

Mel- I love coming home from a trip...except that there always seems to be laundry! I hate laundry! Oh, I hope that the little guy gets will soon!

Kris- we have a no mom before 8AM policy on Saturdays and Sundays...again, we too have a death, maiming and dismemberment clause that will not get you the stink eye from said mother. Also, if Oldest DS needs me to get up early for him (like a 6AM scout muster for camping), he is responsible for making the coffee so that I can be caffinated. I do not function without copious ammounts of caffine!

Susan-glad that you were able to get something done, even if it was at 9:30 at night! That is my best crafting time...late at night!

Pam-How goes it? You deserve combat pay for teaching 5th grade! My mom teaches 5th in NC and from her point of view, 5th graders are the hormonal equivilent of the Children of the Corn. LOL!(but she loves them anyway).

No alpha templates, but here is Templates (round 3) part 1 Sorry it has all the blog hop infomercial type stuff at the end. It is part of my DT requirements, but it will be done by Tuesday.

i only have a minute, but that boy's making this darn-near impossible. it's gotten to the point where, when he ticks me off, i just leave.

all of my "slip-ups" have been b/c he's ticked me off, and i've stormed-out, and well...

owell, we'll see what happens, but he could seriously be a little easier to get along with and a little more encouraging.

alright, so i have an appt. for a microderm, then i'll catch up when i get home.

have fun!

hi

Superbowl thing went good, it ended up being a fairly relaxing evening

I'm officially a sucker for punishment. This organizing thing is a disease! So I decide I really do need the desktop clip-it-up for my stamps, I purchased the Jumbo size(not thinking that the width is the same size as the floor model, 2.5 feet)and the add on tier. The only surface wide enough, not including my work table, is my cutting/stamping station. So I have to decide if I really need the first shelf in this closet because the clip-it-up is taller than the shelf and would fit quite nicely under the second shelf.Because my acrylic stamps are on this shelf I figured once they are off I wouldn't really need the first shelf. Next thing I know I'm rearranging almost the whole room because everything else that was on the two shelves now need a new home, ugh! Good news is that a lot of the things fit on the new clip-it-up and since the stamps only took a small portion of their new home my stickers all fit on as well, plus my bling.

shopping is a disease. with shopping comes organizing, so it only seems natural to me that organizing would also be a disease...

Organizing is a wonderful addicting drug!
And I have NOT been shopping. Surprisingly. I think I might have reached that point where I've realized I need to use more than I buy! We'll see how long it lasts, LOL!

Hi there, organizers!!

QOTW:
organizing: Yes, if you want to call it that. I went thru the crop bags I had dropped on the floor of my scraproom, sorted what needed to be, then grabbed a few embellies for the JYC/DD project that I had forgotten about.

scrapping: I have been playing with my JYC/DD. Planning out pages, mostly...not actually 'doing' them. I was suppose to have a scrap day with the ladies yesterday, but that didn't happen. I did have a nice breakfast with them though.

chatting: Not so much this week. The kiddo is sick and I really haven't had time to catch up with the thread. I know I said I'd try to keep up, so I will give it my best shot.

As for the organizing theme this week, templates, I have all my Coluzzle templates in the Coluzzle case I bought years and years ago. The only ones I take with me to crops (large circle, small circle) are in my crop bag. I'm not sure I have any other 'templates',so, YAY! More play time with paper and photos for me

Off to give kiddo another hot/warm shower. Good thing we have a 50 gallon water heater!!

too late for a nap, ribbons!

Jen, pix of the clip-it-up, as it is filled so far. That would be so great for me, except for going to crops! (Yeah, I've seen ppl take 2-3 ciu's with MANY layers each! but, that's not me!)

letter stickers
templates
acrylic stamps
other misc!

i'm convincing myself!

Just checking in - we are having snow day #5!! We had sleet/snow this morning and freezing temps all day. I do hope it will warm up enough for kids to go to school tomorrow. My dd has taken advantage of the day off and has been working on her Valentine cards all afternoon.

As for shopping - I haven't done any scrapping shopping in months. I really can't remember the last time I purchased scrapping supplies other than adhesive. I am running low on some of my most used cardstock colors, but I'm really trying to use what I've got.

I did find my templates. They were in a drawer my scrapping closet as I suspected. I don't really use them anymore, but I think I'll leave them alone for now.

Amanda - I think that if you can't find the templates, they should be considered done!

Kris - I also have an early riser. He's old enough now that he does his own thing and doesn't wake me when he gets up. When he was little he routinely got up at 5am and wanted me to get up and play- not gonna happen! We told him that if it was still dark outside, he had to stay in bed.

Unfortunately bottom tier is full I have two more binders to empty, I think I will at long last have to purge some stuff. Christmas stuff went on the big CIU since it won't be used on a regular basis. As for crops I left the stickers and stamps in the page protectors I had them in so that I can just grab what I want to work with and put it into a binder to take along. The biggest challenge I have had is to make a permanent home for everything and yet make it easy to just grab and take to a crop and be able to easily put it back where it belongs.

I really have done hardly ANY scrapping since I moved here nearly 2 years ago. That is sick! As soon as I get this paper mess sorted and filed, I AM going up to the Bonus room to sort & put stuff away. This is a pathetic situation, since I now, for the first time, have A ROOM! And, I didn't scrpa at all for the 6 months or so b4 I moved...........was sorting, purging & packing boxes! BUT, I still have my (dusty?) stash!

Hi everyone; am trying to catch up with you all this week. I haven't done any org. this week, but I have done 3 or 4 pages for the gift sb that I'm working on.

Cristi, Hope you're doing OK with your Nicoderm; s/o needs to be more "understanding" while you're going thru this! Maybe you need to give him a painting project or something...

Susan, You know I had forgotten about the "Embrace Imperfectin" class at bps and found an e-mail this morning saying that it starts today. I'll be doing good to do one class at a time; you all must be super "with-it" to handle so many. Have you put away your new Sassafras yet? Love their stuff.

Leisa, At least your DD is working on her Valentine cards. Did you see "The Middle" last nite? The youngest son was trying to address his cards and add conversation hearts to them. Really funny.

Amanda, Did you take any pictures of the frog "surgery"? Did you wear scrubs? And no, I don't have any TaeBo tapes, but I have a few Denise Austin tapes from years ago (she was the only one I could keep up with!) I really should dig those back out...

Mel, How is your little one doing? Did he get super-medicine from the dr? Hope he starts improving soon.

Kris, I don't miss the days of having to get up with little ones. It brings to mind cereal and pancake mix disasters.

Jen, Wow, you have your own "organization within an organization" going on! Your clip-it-ups sound like they hold LOTS (The floor model on your blog is amazing.)

Lisa, I hope your little one is feeling better too. At least you got some sorting done in your crop bags. I think that's one of the hardest parts of going to a crop - putting all your stuff away afterwards.

Judy, Maybe this organization will help you get back into scrapping. I know it's helped me to think of projects that I want to do as I find stuff I'd forgotten about.

Lydia, Hope all is well with you and that your Mom is doing OK.

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone and I will try to do some more work on org. (those alphas that I'm not happy with) tonite since it's leftovers nite.

ha ha!

the quitting smoking thing is not going well at this point - i've finally hit the point where i've pretty much told him that, until he can learn to be "nice," it's not happening.

at any rate, as long as i stay away from him, i'm fine - so, it's not a matter of i can't quit. i can handle a 9 hr work day w/ my boss w/o a cigarette. lol... i last, maybe, an hr here.

so, what have i been up to? hmm... a little w/ creative retreat and, today, embrace imperfection. other than that, messing around in here. i was just looking at a lo i want a scraplift, but... nothing major, though.

i've been so tired all week - not really sure why.

owell, guess i should go make something for dinner.

Maria - no I didn't put ANYTHING away yet!

Crisann- who is going to win you and your lungs or him

Everyone else hi! I am really tired AGAIN! Nothing doing tonight except some layouts in my head. The Prima Flowers blog has some gorgeous tags on it with three by Nic Howard. And Nic Howard's blog has a fabulous summer beach layout up by her! It is amazing! Love her.

Am really enjoying May's class! But not enough energy to do the layouts tonight! Hoping tomorrow is a different story! So I am watching some old classes on the Prima Live site! Love watching them use GlimmerMist must get some Apple and Dragonfly!

~crisann~, you may be tired from the lack of nicotine! That's a HUGE change for your system. I think I remember not being able to sleep for about 3 nites, plus being tired (not really from lack of sleep, but from the chemical changes!)! Hang in there. It's 0 -- not 1, not 2, but 0! Get a lot of GOOD ice cream!!!

BTT

Susan - I have to admit that I haven't really gone into May's class yet . Hopefully this weekend, I can take a break from working and actually scrapbook a bit. I have my Counterfeit Kit all ready to go, staring at me everyday and I haven't even touched that yet!!

So I discovered twitter this week ... OMG! The things you can learn on there. WOW!

And my friend's DS's school had a presenter come in to talk about Facebook. Again, OMG!! So for those of you who have a FB account, here's my PSA for the day:
1) Check your privacy settings. Check them again in a month. FB will change them back to the default of everyone every time they do an update.
2) search friday vacation. Look on the left and click on the posts by everyone. You'll see the list of people who have recently posted about their friday/vacation as their status. Think about that next time your status changes to "we're on vacation as of Friday - can't wait!!"
3) If you upload a picture from your cell phone, the "hidden" information attached to the pictures indicates exactly where and when the picture was taken.

and this one blew me away ...
4) Kids, on average have at least 3 FB accounts. Their parents "may" know about one of them.

It was an expensive speaker to have in, but he was very, VERY good!!

Anyhoo, on with your day ... I should be back later. I do need to get some stuff done first.

Kris - thanks for the FB info. I do not fb or twitter. I especially have issues with publicly announcing "I'm out of town". I'm fine with talking about my trip after I've returned home, but I don't even post on 2peas about upcoming vacations.

Cristi - While waiting for my car to be washed this morning, I was reading an old issue of Readers Digest (May 2010). There was a little article in there about anti-smoking vaccine called NicVax. It doesn't actually make you quit smoking, but it doesn't allow the nicotine to get to your brain so you don't experience the smoking buzz. It also said that 90% of quitters relapse - so you're not alone in your setbacks. Only drawback - it won't be out until next year.

I finally got my Slice out yesterday - very cool. Still figuring out the glue. First time - not enough and the paper moved around while cutting. Second time - too much and I couldn't get the paper off the glass mat. I need to get the glue level somewhere in the middle!
