Welcome to the third class installment of Scrapbook Stamping!

This month's class features using wood block stamped images on your layout, including tips and tricks to line up your wood block stamps for perfect stamping.

To view the class samples, pdf handout and video for this class lesson, click here for the individual lesson or here for my classroom page.

Remember to check out the amazing guest designer layouts for more ideas on using wood block stamped images on your pages! You can see the guest layouts here . A special thank you to Susan Weinroth, Kathy Wade and Sheri Reguly for their beautiful creations this month!

CHALLENGE: Use wood block stamped images on a scrapbook layout.

*Please note that in order to be entered in the drawing for a GC from 2peas you must create a layout (this is a layout class) and you must follow the challenge (because each month is covering a specific stamping technique).

Please upload your layout to the Two Peas Gallery by March 31th.

Dont' forget to check the box next to this class when you upload for a chance at winning a randomly selected gift certificate from Two Peas! I will post the winner on the Education Board on the April 1st 2011.

I'm looking forward to another amazing month of stamping, scrapbooking and memory keeping with my friends here at Two Peas! I can't wait to see all of your stamped and embossed creations!

If you have any questions regarding this class, please don't hesitate to leave me a question here or peamail me.

How did you know I just printed some school photos?! Did you peak at my order? Great layout, love the colors.
Another awesome class video and challenge. I need to look through my wood stamps and see what I could use with some pictures I have needing to be scrapped.
I love my stamp-a-ma-jig, it's great to know that your image will be right where you want it! It's definitely going to get it's use in this class!
Thanks Nichol!

Hi, Love the video. I know what I want to do but I need to cut a border with my sil first. How do you cut a ten inch border without losing the original sizing of the scallops or design when the border from the library is only 5 or 6 inches long. I want one long border. I tried copying and then overlapping until I got the correct length but something went wrong! Thanks for your help!

I don't know how to make it longer without changing the original sizing. Sorry!
Would it be possible to cut multiple borders and piece them together?

Yes but there would be a tiny gap or slight seam. I am picky- I know. Will see if I can figure out how to overlap two and then group to get the right length. I probably hit weld instead of group now that I am thinking of it. Am at work so the experiment will have to wait

Thanks so much for answering!

I also find I often want to "lengthen" a design. Try copying the design, moving it to where it overlaps nicely (I enlarge the view to get it perfect) then select the whole lot and "merge" (the overlapping circle and square icon) This also works with text so letters don't get cut where they overlap. Hope you manage to get what you want...

Love wood stamps Nichol and I can't wait to do this challenge. I loved your video and now you have me itching to do my son's school pictures as well. Love seeing how I can utilize my stamps. Thanks for this challenge and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

This is on my list for this evening. I love using wooden stamps. There's something comforting about them and I always take a trip down memory lane when I get them out.

It's definitely hard trying to scrap with your stuff being in two different places, while trying to move it all! But it's done!
Thanks again Nichol for another great class, can't wait until tomorrow for the newest edition!

Thank you, Nichol, for the lesson. I'm not a scrapbooker, but I still enjoyed seeing how you made your wonderful layout, and I got some ideas I can use on my cards.
