Good afternoon!
I do make cards. Lots of them! And I don't have card making supplies seperate so this is another "catch up" week!

Hope everyone has a great one. My kids are off school tomorrow for a teacher workday. We have some yardwork to do. Mostly things to keep the new puppy out of trouble, LOL!

A little Beagle. She's a cutie. We named her Zoe. I posted about her on my blog. Mostly because I haven't done squat in a couple/few weeks and needed "something" on there, LOL!

QOTW - I do make cards and thankfully my card supplies are organized. I've not had a lot of time to do anything scrappy related the last couple of weeks. And this week is spring break, so I'll probably get even less done with kids around.

I like having more daylight hours, but I don't like losing that hour of sleep. I was tired this morning.

Mel - Zoe is adorable!!

Off to read wookie's blog.

QOTW: I make cards off and on, but my 7 year old makes them more than I do. I actually just went to Joann's a couple days ago and got these clear thick plastic boxes that just flip open(don't know the brand name). I have one for blank cards and one for envelopes. Also got a card-zized clear file box to organize already made cards by theme so next time I'm rushing out to a kid birthday party, I can find the cards faster

Hi! I am back from London! We had a fabulous time and my youngest DD has adjusted so well to urban life! I have oodles of memorabilia to sort through although i tried to keep it in order while we are there. Just have to upload my pictures for development and I am going to START AND FINISH this scrapbook in 2 months

Cards - I do make cards. My supplies of blank cards and special papers are separated in a wheeling cart and sorted by color and size. The rest of the supplies: stamps, ribbons, punches etc are all where they should be! Guess I get a week off to sort out the London stuff

Week 28!!! We're rolling now!
QOTW: I make the occasional (OK, hardly ever) card, so I really don't have card-making supplies. The few pre-folded cards that I have are sitting on a shelf waiting. I think people that make homemade cards are amazing and wish that I could be so creative.

Cristi, In total agreement with the daylight-savings time. I do like the longer days, but this switching back and forth will never get easy. You always feel cheated over that hour and it just doesn't make up for it when you the hour back in the fall.

Mel, That Zoe is one cute puppy! Hope you and the kids have a good Monday off playing with her and puppy-proofing your yard.

Judy and tewzers2, We're all spreading the puppy love!

Leisa, Enjoy your spring break. At least your card supplies are already org. so you can relax (as much as your kids will let you.)

Kware, I've been looking at those containers at M's, not for cards, just odds'n'ends. They look like they'd hold a lot.

Susan, Welcome back! So glad your daughter is doing well and that you all had a great time. Wow, you really have set a goal on finishing that sb!

Have a good Monday everyone. Maria
P.S. I had a great time at CKC on Friday. We took 2 classes (my favorite one was "Material Girl" using Oct.Aft. papers) and shopped. I didn't buy much (budget), but there were lots of booths and a concession (it was held at the fairgrounds) that sold nachos so all was right with the world.

Another catch-up week for me! I rarely make cards, although I'd like to. When I do it's last minute for a kids party. I do have a box that I keep some envelopes and card bases in, so it shouldn't be hard but I just never know where to start.

For now, I'd like to continue indexing my stamps and set up a 'book of stories' to keep journalling notes for future pages organized. I'm terrible about getting the journalling on my pages and it bothers me. I do want the stories on the pages, just that scrapping and writing are separate activities for my brain.

Mel - your puppy is adorable! I love your 'Monkey in the Middle' page - want to lift it if I can find the right photos. I also love your SnS system - might need to adopt it myself! Feeling like a copycat now.

Susan - welcome back! good to hear you had a great time - I'm still jealous!! Looking forward to seeing some pages.

Maria - CKC sounds wonderful! 'Someday' I'd like to go to a big scrapping event like that.

anyway, not much to do if I maintain the status quo.

Just might have to wait for round 4 for the revamp!

Bringing us back from page 2.

Not much organizing going on here. Shuffled a few things about, mostly the clutter that's been living on the floor. I can see more of the carpet now! I also have a pile of magazines on my dining room table waiting to have the good pages ripped out and then be purged into the recycling bin.

Colin has been home sick the last couple of days. Sick enough to be needy, but chipper enough to talk my ear off. Can't hear myself think until he's in bed at night. Sigh. That's my excuse for not doing much.

Good luck with the home invasion, Amanda! Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Amanda - How are you?

Lydia- I hope your son feels better soon.

Thanks for welcoming me back. I have sorted through 500 of the 1100 digital images from 3 cameras...so i guess you could say I have been organizing. I am off to sort through another 200 tonight I hope.

Just a quick post. More basketball today.

Amanda, I hope your little one is doing better and that everything goes smoothly with the "babies on board". And that you have been wearing your "Justice League" cape for jury duty.

Lydia, Oh no, you have a sick one too! It sounds like he was enjoying his time home with you. Are you trying to tackle too much with your injured hand? You do have an actual excuse for "slacking off" some!

Susan, Boy! You're plowing along thru those digital photos. Are you keeping most of them?

Judy, How's it going in your room?

Cristi, Is your week going OK? I know, I know. You're busy being career-girl, award-winning chef, and home remodeling visionary! You need a cape too.

Mel, What has Zoe chewed thru so far? Shoes, furniture? No sbing supplies I hope.

Leisa, Jeannie, and Kware, Are you all getting anything org-related done this week? I think we may all have a little bit of Spring fever. (And basketball fever.)

Have a great day everyone. Maria

Maria I am not keeping all of them. I am sorting through to find the ones I want developed. I ordered an American Crafts album with the regular 12x12 page protectors and two packages of the 12x12 ones that hold a total of 12 4x6. So I will have some scrapbooked pages and some regular photo album like pages. I have sort of decided what pictures are going on embellished pages and what are going in the 4x6 holders. Then I have a few set aside for processing in PSE which I will then print at home. These are for a few special layouts. I think I based this system on something Mel(?) wrote in her blog once.

Mel - so how is the house looking? Getting any sleep?

Judi - Heard the weather was gorgeous down there! I would not be in my room in that case!

Amanda - you still with us or have you gone under the chaos!

Christi- surviving the week? You scrapping this weekend?

Zero progress the report on organizing!

Maria - I don't think I'm overdoing it with my wrist. I figure that using it is a form of physiotherapy. I just make sure to keep it light (no heavy lifting/pulling especially) and only for short periods. This morning I was gardening with Colin, cutting back some perennials. I kept switching hands with the pruner when my right hand got tired. Not sore at all after.

Susan - I'm impressed with all you've done for your London album! I've got a similar album (mixing scrapbook pages, with photo pages) sitting neglected from our trip to Turkey almost 10 years ago. Maybe I should make a push to finish for the tenth anniversary of the trip!!! I think the journalling will be hard at this point.

Mel - You've inspired me to start a S2S budget, too! Thanks for the great idea to help balance what comes in with what I use. I'm paying myself for blog posts and submitting to challenges, too, because I need a kick in the pants in those departments!!

Amanda - thinking of you today!!

Judy - I hope you're outside enjoying spring!

just popping in to say hi,

I had an awesome time at the Memories Wholesale Retailers event. They had amazing classes with Bo Bunny, Tim Holtz, Graphic 45, Clearsnaps, Little Yellow Bicycle, We R Memory Keepers and Copic. My head left very full of ideas and techniques and WOW all the stuff we got to take home, amazing! My boss is wonderful for taking me with her. I'm still trying to find a place for everything.

QOTW: I do make cards, not quite as much as I used to but I still love it.

My cardmaking supplies are together with everything else, so no organizing that this week. But I did buy another huge pile of paper last weekend.

Hope everyone is doing OK

Bringing us back to page one this morning.
I haven't been up to my scrap area in so long, I forgot what it looks like.
And because I've been unable to scrap I have this strong urge to blow my Scrap-2-Spend challenge. BUT, I haven't. I've had stuff in my cart here at 2peas for a solid week and still haven't hit the "checkout" button. I think I deserve a medal for that! LOL!

Zoe hasn't really chewed thru anything yet but I did have to buy a new shoe bin. It was a wicker type basket, HA! She was chewing on that and she's grown enough in the past two weeks that she could climb in it and the girl loves her some shoes, , and has a preference for my flip flops. Now I have a big green laundry basket thing.

Happy Organizational Procrastination, Girls! LOL!

Happy weekend everyone!! DH is actually working this morning, so it won't feel very weekend-like around here, but the boys are thrilled to be out of school. They're starting two weeks of spring break. I've put them in a science camp for the second week to save my sanity.

Mel - Have you got some 'Bitter Apple' spray? We used it with our boxer pup last year to help her learn not to chew the furniture, baseboards, etc. and it worked like a charm. Come to think of it I should spray the boys' winter gloves - that's her big no-no right now!

I'm hopping in to the challenge. We moved into a new house a year ago, and last week, we finished cabinets and a craft table for me downstairs. So now, I'm re-organizing everything in the new space. I've been taking pictures of the process -- including the hour-long flower-sorting project that the kids helped me with last weekend. Yow.

QOTW: I do make cards, usually when an occasion rolls around. I don't tend to make them ahead of time unless I take a class or something. So it really helps me if I have all of the card-making supplies together in one space or box. My 7yo dd has started making cards with me, so she has her own little collection of supplies, too.

Looks like it has been a slow week for organizing. I survived spring break! Day 1, I heard the "I'm bored" cry. This drives me crazy! I told ds that he could fold socks, sort/wash laundry, clean toilets, vacuum, etc. I guess he found something do because I didn't hear any more boredom comments.

Day 2, I came down with a cold, but still took kids to a movie. (Can't pass up 50cent Tuesday!) Day 3, we just hung out and played board games. Day 4 and 5 we went to Six Flags.

I haven't done any organizing this week, but I did get to go to a crop Friday night - a much deserved getaway - and got 4 pages done. Today dd and I got spa pedicures and manicures and we went to ds' baseball game. Tonight I was able to order more pictures for my 2008 album.

Susan - glad you had a good visit in London with dd. And you've made a lot of progress on all those pictures. I think it's great that you are doing it now. I usually put off working on stuff right away.

Judy - I am seriously thinking of getting the clip and spin. Do you know if they have a floor model like the clip it up? I have the perfect empty corner for it!

rnhmom - welcome to the challenge! It is never too late to start organizing.

Amanda - just read your blog - wow you are a busy woman!! Hope everyone is adjusting well to the new house guests.

Leisa - I so hated the BORED word! And chores were the answer! I should do a page on it. I am sure I have pictures to go with it!

Judy - what is this thing that you bought at HL? Not a clip it up?

Lydia - Prior to this trip I finished the pictures for a trip from 2003 and I did remember most everything! So you can get those pictures done from Turkey!

Mel - my neighbors are using that bitter apple spray with their dog who is just like Marley need I say more and it is working!

Jen - what is your favorite product?

As for organizing, I ordered 179 pictures My album and the photos should be arriving this week. Today I will process the special pictures in PSE. I am determined to get this done as my kids keep reminding me of how far behind I am in the rest of my scrapbooks!

loveribbons, it is a clip it up knockoff! same thing. made by The Paper Studio. $17.50!!! (reg. $35)

don't know how they get away with copying it.

thinking The Paper Studio may be a manufacturer just for HL.

my scrappy goals for 2012:
. finish all the bits and pieces on LOs which are missing a letter, or a picture needs to be reprinted, etc.
. finish up H's albums
. make an acrylic album
. finish my heritage albums
. sort Dad's genealogy stuff
. try to finish up the several albums that are started; label them; move them downstairs where they can be enjoyed
. make mini albums
. oh, yeah, get my [s]crap place organized & KEEP IT NEAT!
