|Posted: 4/14/2011 1:44:07 PM|I just realized I didn't answer the QOTW .... I'm doing a bit of both as well. There are areas that are generally working; paper, stamps, memorabilia etc. Plus I don't have ANY extra space to store anything!!
But I would like to move the furniture around a little so I may do a clean sweep, just a little at a time
Miss you too Cristi This week has been a little crazier then I imagined, but I'm slowly getting into a groove
With the sewing machine discussion, I decided I wanted one a couple of years ago. So I bought one, and left it with my MIL on the idea that she was going to teach me how to sew ... Well, it's now years later, I still have no idea how to even turn the thing on, but it works great or so I'm told

hi kris! hi lisa! hi judy!
nope, i've been busy - signed up for soul restoration. still considering the she art workshop. the only thing that sucks is i made a special trip out to get matte printer paper to print the elements onto and it seems like everyday this week, so far, i've been too exhausted to do anything or i've had a sinus head ache. i still haven't even finished installing the printer drivers much less microsoft office on the new laptop.

still haven't been oopstairs! if i finish taxes tomorrow, then have to clean the downstairs -- friends coming by, seeing the house for the first time, so at least need the dog hairs & leaves swept up! and the lawn (READ: weeds!!!) is approaching knee-high!
|my scrappy goals for 2012:
. finish all the bits and pieces on LOs which are missing a letter, or a picture needs to be reprinted, etc.
. finish up H's albums
. make an acrylic album
. finish my heritage albums
. sort Dad's genealogy stuff
. try to finish up the several albums that are started; label them; move them downstairs where they can be enjoyed
. make mini albums
. oh, yeah, get my [s]crap place organized & KEEP IT NEAT!

Cristi - A couple of weekends ago, I went on my crop sick as a dog with a headcold. An afternoon of Sudafed and beer seemed to clear it right up ... maybe give that remedy a try
So who's scrapping this weekend??
Hope you start feeling better soon!
|Posted: 4/15/2011 10:42:36 AM|I have a confession to make...I started early on next week's challenge! My scrap space was looking so lonely, and I needed to find some paper for some LOs I'm working on, so I let my paper back in. I almost have all of my PP gathered together (the cardstock was already pretty organized), and I realized I have more than I thought. What a surprise...NOT! I will be doing a big purge, though, because some of this stuff is just ancient and is NOT my style anymore (not sure it ever really was!). And, truth be told, I don't use a lot of patterned paper. Am I odd? I will keep some for making cards...now to figure out where to store "cardmaking paper"!
Busy weekend this weekend...two rugby games tomorrow (probably in the rain...ugh!) and roller derby tomorrow night (yes, I love weird sports!). Then DH has insisted we go help DS pick out new glasses on Sunday. Um...he's 19...I think he's capable of picking out his own glasses. But DH is afraid he'll spend too much money...so it's up to school we go! (Actually, I think DH just misses him...well, so do I!)
Hope everyone has a great weekend...paper, here we come!!

|Posted: 4/16/2011 11:18:46 AM|I'll be scrappin this weekend, trying to use up 30 sheets of paper so I can bring the stack of paper I set aside at work home. So sad, but it was Stella and Rose, I had been waiting for this to come in.
Amanda- Love those thickers
Cristi- congrats on the new computer, I know how frustrating crashing computers can be hope you can recover all of you stuff
McLisa-Happy sewing and I've definitely found this organizing challenge helps you find room you didn't think you had.

Just watched an hour long soccer game in 45 degree weather....if I warm up any time soon...I will head into the basement and start my clean sweep...wish me luck! And if you don't hear back from me in 24 hours...send out the search dogs...I will be under a pile of 12 x 12 paper!!!!

Hot spot for me too. My room is fairly organized so I don't want to pull everything out. I'll be doing it a step at a time.

I've decided that while I would love to start with a clean slate, I can't do it right now. There's no where to put the stuff if I were to pull it out, and I really need the scrapbooking as therapy right now. So I will follow along as best I can without starting from scratch.

|Posted: 4/17/2011 8:13:36 AM|I'm with those who are going to do a little of both, mostly because I just don't have anywhere to store my stuff. my plan is to concentrate on the areas that are our challenge each week. Does that make any sense, lol??

Kristine, I really like the look of the bins in the dresser. I'm wanting to change to more homey looking furniture than the utilitarian I have now. Will have to keep that in mind!
