Yesterday I was swagging on the special offers page, radium and payment wall - and "liked" Dial for Men on FB and then Dannon Yogurt Light - and wham! My desktop disappears, my c drive info is gone, or at least invisible/unreadable.

Dh is working on my pc, did a system restore dated to a few days ago and my stuff is back, but I have some trojans and home page hijacker kind of stuff. Just this morning, an ad played, but it as audio only - talked about "dicks"- it used that terminology. OMG!

I will have to wipe out my system completely and reinstall everything.

I really liked swagging and using the tool bar and racking up sb's for my daily searches, but DH says "lose that toolbar"! He wants me to give up SBs period.

We have anti virus, so I wasn't surfing unsafely or surfing tawdry sites.

I hate black hat hackers!

You have no clue that it came from SwagBucks. They are a legit company and many people have used them for years with no issues. There are many ways to get viruses and to say that it came from SB with no proof is irresponsible.

My laptop slowed down really fast after I signed with SB. Although my virus protection said nothing is there. Hmm..

I actually liked the site.

Can I prove it.....probably not. The company is legit and I'm not claiming they themselves are doing it - just that it CAN happen and it did to me, when on the special offers pages. There ARE many ways when you CAN get viruses, hence my warning. I found the timing EXTREMELY suspect that as soon as I clicked on a "like us" for 7 sb's link - my computer was disabled. It's a logical thought process.

I've been wondering about swagbucks too. My computer is definitely slower and I have had issues. I was on SwagBuck Tricks and got one of those fake virus warnings and wanted me to run something. When I clicked on the X to get off of it, it started running something on its own.

Swagbucks Tricks is not Swagbucks. If you get a virus from Swagbucks Tricks you can't really blame that on Swagbucks (unless your logic is that if you weren't a member you wouldn't have gone to Swagbucks Tricks in the first place). If you get one of those fake virus warnings, the worst thing to do is click anywhere on the popup, even the X. That's how they get you.

A few weeks after I loaded swagbucks I noticed my computer running considerably slower. A month after I loaded swagbucks my computer got a virus and crashed. I do think it was swagbucks.

When you say "loaded swagbucks" do you mean the toolbar? If anyone is nervous about the toolbar, you don't need it to do swagbucks. I didn't install it until I had been doing swagbucks for at least a year and even now, it's turned off all the time. I turn it on once a day to get my one swagbuck for it.

I bought a game 5,000 games or whatever from Target. Downloaded it and come to find out, it had a virus on it. Weird.

Don't worry about the people in your past; there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Facebook is like jail. You sit around all day wasting time, writing on walls and if your not careful you'll get poked.

Oh, I'm sorry, posting at 2am isn't always a good idea. I meant that I bought a game from there and loaded to my computer to play and when I ran an antivirus scan, that game came back as a virus.

While swagbucks may be legit, many of their sponsors, advertisers, etc. aren't, imo. I've had frequent problems with my computer since signing up for swagbucks. I'm starting to think the occasional $5 amazon code isn't worth the other headaches.
