I am guessing that this is her business and she has all that stuff for the business. I would love to work in that room! All the items I could try. I love the table as well. All the storage...wow! O often think about scrapping in a store but never have. Would be fun.

That is amazing! All I can say is if you teach it's a business and all the cricuts would be a tax right off! Good idea!

She also teaches classes at my LSS. I scrapped with her many years ago, before the Cricut.

She is just a sweetie. I have known her forever at the Cricut board. I know she teaches classes. She is one of the most talented Cricut girls in the industry. When she made that video and showed us on the Cricut board she did say she has so much because of her classes and she shares supplies. I say more power to her!

Exactly.

In this economy if she can swing it, and isn't standing on the corner with a tin cup asking others to support her Cricut habit, I say go for it girl.

I focus on the jobs created in the manufacture, shipment, and retail sales of her supplies. She's definitely keeping someone's economy going.

I know her in real life and she's a really sweet person. She uses all her stuff for crafty work, so it's not like she's just a collector.

For me personally, I'd feel very overwhelmed by it and not get anything done....I like to have less choices. But to each their own. I'm supportive of anyone who has a system of storage that works for them & their family even if it's not what I'd necessarily want for me.

That room would overwhelm me! but I would love to go look at all her paper! I love paper so much! but I don't know that I would be able to scrap comfortably in a room that full of stuff. If she can good for her!

WOW! That's a lot of STUFF.

My very 1st thought was that I wouldn't like everything sooo spread out. I forget about what I have & it's not that much to begin with. I prefer things right at my side or in front of me.

I'm sure she's a sweet gal & teaches amazing classes, but to just go scrapbooking in that room- it would overwhelm me! GOOD for her though, it appears that she knows how fortunate she is! ;o)

I would feel overwhelmed in a room like that. Too much stuff, too small of a space. I could not relax in the chair that she has in the alcove with all that stuff that close to me. It would totally stress me out. I'd love to have 1/8 of the flowers that she has though since I hardly have any. lol! I don't get why she has so many Cricuts. They are a lot of money. I could see having maybe one or two extra for classes for people wanting to try them out. But 15?? That's excessive even if she has a teaching business. Especially when you'd have to buy replacement blades, cutting mats, etc. for them all. I'd make everyone bring their own Cricut just like the scrapbook stores do. Heck, when you took a quilting or sewing class at J's, you had to bring your own sewing machine. I wouldn't expect a Cricut class to be any different. But then again, I'd rather spend that $35 - $75 that she quoted in the comments for the price of her classes on other things. I've never taken a class at the LSS either. Don't feel the need to and I can learn all I want to know about scrapbooking, etc.through books, magazines, blogs, online galleries, and YouTube. But to each their own.

My reaction was also 'wow' and not in a good way.

I couldn't agree more! To each his/her own but I found the space very cramped. I have a lot of stuff but if I had to store that high vertically, I'd defintely downsize. I don't see a lot of fuctional space either. I was overwhlemed. However, if she's happy in her space then more power to her!

LOTS OF STUFF, FOR SURE.. but not set up to be easly accessible, IMHO..

"hoarding" of sorts comes to mind... since no one person (even if teaching) needs all that stuff.. and I too think it's somewhat cramped..

I need to show dh this video, my stash will look small next to all she has. I couldn't get over the cricut machines and cartridges (she must own them all) and I think she owns every other die cutting machine/die out there. She has more cardstock and patterned paper than my LSS. I was also thinking I hope she has that room insured as there is a ton of money sitting in there.

i honestly think this woman went way over board with everything. surely it is nice to have a scrap/crafts room and i wish i would be able to call one my own. but this room is stuffed to the ceiling with all kinds of "i might need this one day" items. it is so cluttered that i would feel so uncomfortable in that room. when she has people over and they sit around the table noone can move and get stuff because the back of the chairs will be touching the shelves. KWIM?
less is more! and honestly if two or three people would have to share a cricut will that really be sooooo bad? i mean how much time do you actually need to choose something and cut it?

just my 2 cents.

Oh man, I noticed those jars of flowers for sure. She called them something...Prism maybe? I don't think I have heard of that kind. Anyway, I am pretty sure I would find having that many flowers kind of discouraging--I like to see stuff getting used up and let's face it, it would take forever for those to get used up--but maybe that's one of the things she sells to her students/customers? And they did look pretty, so they could be serving a decorative function more than utilitarian.

I was glad I wasn't the only one who reacted negatively to that video. I felt things were way too cramped. It isn't the amount of stuff she has but how she has it all crammed into that space.

Although that is a good sized room, her stuff needs at least two to three times that much space to be comfortable IMO.

How easy would they be to get to if you wanted to use them? I'm really, really short, so to me, having all that stuff high up would be counterproductive, since I'd probably drop the jars trying to get them down. Maybe it's not as high as it looked, but in the video, the shelves looked floor to ceiling to me. I prefer things where I can reach them easily.

I feel a little sorry for her right now. Yes, she put the video out there. But I don't think that she was expecting some people on a message board to be critical of her. She teaches classes, so I'm willing to cut her a little slack on all the stuff. Even the Cricuts.

I truly never meant for this to turn negative. I was simply amazed at her room. I questioned the "multitude" of Expressions honestly. I have seen others who had multiples and did NOT teach so I really was hoping someone might have an answer.

It looks like she quilts or sews in addition to scrapping. There was so much stuff that it made me feel a bit claustrophobic, but if she likes it, I'm super happy for her. She appears to be uber organzied which is a good thing, because with that much stuff, you have to be to find anything. Most of her storage looks custom made which really allows you to maximize what you can get into your space.

I'm pea green with jealousy over her cardstock wall. LOVE it! But I could never have it in my room. I get too much sunlight with a window and a sliding glass door and it would all fade.

I wish her all the best with her classes and her hobby. She seems like a very sweet gal.

Okay, I like the feeling of everything having a specific place, but even if she bought all the stuff at wholesale pricing, it seems like an obscene amount of money to spend. Rather than feel inspired, I'm surprised to find myself somewhat repulsed by the excess.

her name is kendra wiggins and she has her own blog called scrappin cricut. I don't know her but i have visited her site for many years now as she puts up projects as well as coupons. she has had tons of stuff published.

I can't believe how nasty some of the peas are acting towards this room. She may have a lot of stuff but for her it is a way to make money as well as a hobby. She truely enjoys it ( from her videos) and is able to make money.

she is lucky to have all of the stuff and i know i am a little jealous. The room is HERS and it works for her. Remember when you were told if you don't have anything nice to say..... then keep it to yourself

I don't think I've read anyone being "nasty," but I think it's more along the lines of shocked and/or curious. I believe most Peas loved the room, loved her table, were envious of her paper, etc. Many were curious about the number of Cricuts, what she does to need that many, etc.

When someone opens their space, via video, for the world to see on the internet, there are going to be many different reactions to what they see--some good, some not so much. Just because "I" don't think I could comfortably scrap in there because of the amount of stuff, doesn't make me a mean pea, just stating my opinion.

hahahah...I agree! Given some of the rooms I've seen here before I was expecting something out of this world.

I am the first one to think that a well-stocked room is wasteful and overwhelming and "hoarding" also comes to mind a lot...BUT in this case the woman clearly uses her room and stuff. She teaches, hosts crops, etc. So this stuff is not just sitting there. It doesn't matter how much stuff she has if she USES it. That other video posted a while back where the woman had everything untouched in its original packaging was much much worse IMO.

I didn't know she was the Scrappin Cricut Lady! I have subscribed to her blog for ages!!!! LOVE IT!

Tell you what, I think her scrap room is WAY over stocked. To help you out, Miss Kendra, feel free to send any of your extra supplies to me and I will store them for you. If you agree with others that your table may be a wee too large, I think I have just the right spot for it at my house as well! I know sometimes things just get away and we need a good friend to help us sort out things and pare down so I would be willing to help you in exchange for some of those classes people keep talking about of yours

To each her own. I like to scrap in an open and simple space and I like to use up most of what I have from one line before I move on to the next. I tend to donate my leftovers to my kids, or to their teachers before I buy new. That is my style. While I have a large scrapspace (that would hold Miss Kendra's scrap table rather nicely, jsut saying) I keep it simple and sparse to keep me focused. My mom scraps in an area that doesn't have more than a 12x24 clear space on the table to hold the pages she is working on. We all do what feels right.

Thanks for sharing.
And mea mail me if you need some help!

She did a sensational job organizing her room - it's amazing.

However, I think it's just too much for me. I would come in & get so overwhelmed. How would you ever remember what you have? And, I don't know how I would ever use all of the paper she has or how I would justify buying any new fun papers.

Since she teaches classes, I'd bet people pay her to come there with nothing of their own & play (or should I say, create)! ...so if she's providing paper for each person who comes, I can see her having a lot on hand.

I've had more stuff than I have now & I've had a whole room to myself, but I'm now in the living room with a office armiore, a 10 drawer rolling cart & a bookcase (plus some stuff tucked away thing in the basement - stuff I use so rarely that I don't need it front & center. I actually find it better there b/c I don't have it crammed into some little nook). Anyway, I am way happier now & am using my space almost daily, which is way more than when I had a whole room. **but, I'm not comparing myself to her, b/c I don't teach classes & rarely have people to my house to crop**

Carol, I completely understand what you're saying. But, even if someone had some of that other stuff, I'd think it was too much as well.

I did have some small collections in my 20's & early 30's, but by the time I got to my mid-30's, I stopped enjoying collecting & now don't want much to do with it.

I think part of the reason is b/c my mom & stepdad collect so much & their house is just so overhelming that it has really turned my brother, my dh & I off from the whole idea of collecting.

I'm really trying to get to the point that if I'm not using it & don't foresee using it soon, it's gone. I try to find a better needed home for it or donate it.

She seemed happy to share and I hate to see comments that make those who MIGHT have shared, NOT.
I agree completely - so I guess I should just keep my thoughts to myself...ugh...I do hope if she would happen to read this thread that it doesn't get her down!!!!

Scrappin' Cricut

I headed over to see her blog. Her room just happened to be the first thing that was up and it looks much better in the photos than in her video or at least I think and not so cramped.

You know a lot of people that do stuff like that and teach Cricut sends them machines and I wouldn't be surprised if Cricut gave her some of those. I know The Pink Stamper gets free cartridges from them almost every time they release something just for her to "try it out" maybe she has something similar with them.

In the photo that shows her Cuttlebugs and printers, what are those two things behind the sock monkey?

ETA: My very favorite part of her room is the fort! I don't think she showed that in the video, but I noticed it in the link with the pictures. That is so cool! I so wish I could do something like that!
