My son, special needs, is in middle school so I wanted to do something a little more grown up than colored pencils or crayons...since only the art teacher would use those. So, instead I used regular pencils. The last one is for the Keyboarding teacher, I used an old keyboard we had. I have one drying for the PE coach made of silver whistles that are party favors. Since he has so much support, I ended up doing 12! I'm tired.
Not framed yet, waiting for it to dry. It didn't turn out as good as I wanted. Next time I would do them all straight on:
**UPDATE**
Well, I got all 12 wrapped and delivered and the huge mess cleaned up. Whew, what a job the whole thing was. But it was so worth it, they loved them! I didn't get to see the Coach open his but the Keyboarding teacher was absolutely thrilled.

Love these! They turned out so well. However, as a Geography teacher, I go through hundreds of colored pencils every year- my students create a minimum of two maps for each region we study. I think colored pencils are still appropriate for middle school. But I love what you've created. |
