second, i made mention on last week's thread of having another online crop. who's interested? |

question of the week: do you prefer stickers or rub-ons?
Rubons! Yes yes. Although I'm finding that they do go "bad" over time. And there are a few brands that produced some really crappy ones!
As for the crop. I'd love to say I'll participate but I probably won't be able to. My mojo has flown the coop and with summer vacation around the corner I highly doubt it will come back to me while I'm surrounded by kids (who are "bored" and arguing about everything). |

Good evening, girls. This is going to be a short one for me, so here goes.....
question of the week: do you prefer stickers or rub-ons?
I actually prefer stickers. They are easier to use, and I don't need a tool to put them on my lay-outs. I do use rub-ons from time to time, but not as often as I use stickers. BTW, my stickers are organized by theme in two photo boxes.
Y'all have a good one! |

QOTW - stickers hands down! I always have trouble getting rubons to stick thought that could be because so many of them are OLD
Online crop - kid coming home this weekend but available during the week!!
Crisann - whose rub ons do you like the best? I would try a few if I knew they would actually stick and stay stuck!
As for this week, working on a collage for BPC class, starting an mixed media quilt AND I am continuing to plow away at the layouts from London. I have been making the pages and since they are all using the same papers I will add embellishments and journaling later since I can do that all in mass production.
Mel - oh soooo sorry. My youngest DD called yesterday - "Mom I am so bored right now." My answer "Take a nap!" I am not listening to that long distance hated it then and hate it now. |

Whew! What a weekend! Got the girl graduated and had the party and now I'm TIRED!! But I'm ready to do some more organizing and scrapping!
If I have to choose, I'd say rub ons over stickers. But I really don't use many of either one. I have a bunch of rub ons that probably aren't good anymore...I'll be checking those out this week and tossing them if they aren't. And I know I've got stickers that need to be purged!
Right now my rubons are on my Clip It Up and the stickers are pretty much organized by theme. We'll see if I have anything I need to actually organize once I'm done purging!
Crisann, I think I missed the question about the online crop. I probably couldn't do it unless it's a day DH happens to be gone. He misses me if I'm up in the scrap attic too long!! |

question of the week: do you prefer stickers or rub-ons?
Neither . I don't have stickers or rub-ons. Which makes this week another easy one for me. So back to the photos. I'm taking Photo Freedom, which I really need.
The older kid comes home from college on Thursday. She'll have a little free time before starting work. I think she and I really need to go through some stuff she has stored here and some stuff I have but don't need anymore. Not necessarily scrap stuff. Just stuff. Freecycle and Goodwill, here we come. Need the space in the garage for my son's drum set. He wants to start a band this summer .

QOTW: Stamps ...oh, that was not an option. Well then, Stickers. Definately use them more than rubons!
Stickers Worked out during round 3...gonna just clean in general this week!
Mel- *cyber hug* summer deployments are the best/worst! My tax free pay got channeled into summer camps. Are your kids old enough to go to a camp Purple? At least you have the beach! (we had our highest high this weekend...76).
Susan-I feel the same way! ...and good luck with the London LOs
Bethk-Congrats on surviving graduation.
Cristi-am available in and out this weekend. Or usually Tues and Thurs during the day. Nights are swamped with kid activities. |

So I had an unexpected night to myself last night...DH had to go bale hay again because his dad's back is still not ready for the tractor! I reorganized all my alphas so they are now all on the Clip It Up, tested my rub ons and they all still seem to be good, and purged some yucky old stickers and reorganized the rest. Then I put together a page kit to work on later in the week, consolidated some memorabilia, AND put about 200 pictures from 1989 (!!) into a photo album!
Feeling very accomplished today! |

QOTW - I prefer runbons to stickers. BUT for those of you who have trouble with some "old" rubons, get the BG rubon tool thingy. You'll be able to get ANYTHING on with that do-hickey. It's AWESOME!!!
Re the crop: I'm all over the place and I don't have a consistent "better" time. Choose the time and I'll do what I can to at least pop in
Beth - I had a peek at your blog and I LOVE the embelishment "binder" idea!! I've discovered my baskets aren't working for me at ALL so I need something else. I'll have to give that a try next

HAHA, Kris! That is EXACTLY what I used to "test" my old rub ons...and every one that I tried worked! I DID have to rub a little harder than normal for a few, but they came out beautifully with that awesome tool!
My binders work great for me. I think if you had a ton of embellies it might get a little difficult, but I love flipping through it and quickly being able to see everything in a particular color or theme. And nothing gets tangled up or lost! |

Blogged with a picture of my Clip It Up with my alphas and rub ons. Not terribly exciting...but it's organized! I really feel like it is SO much easier to scrap with all my stuff neat and tidy. I also blogged about graduation cards I made. They were so quick and easy...grab some scraps, grab the ink and embossing powder (already fairly organized, too) and go to town!
I WILL have a little to do next week...I have a box of fibers/ribbons all tangled up right now. Not sure how they didn't get organized when I did my embellishment binders a few years ago.. |

QOTW: I prefer stickers because they are faster and easier, but I use a lot more memorabilia as embellishments rather than stickers or rub ons. I tend to focus on travel albums.
This is a tough week for me. I have my stickers stored in 4! CIS binders, but they are not organized at all. I just stored them as I bought them. So far this week I have removed all stickers (including die cuts) from 2 binders. Planning to do the rest tonight. Then I'll sort them all into categories (travel, baby, ect.) and restore them in the CIS binders. I do really like the binders for storage. It keeps my stickers and die cuts flat and protected. It may take longer than this week to finish this job.

Update-guess when I got the most work done on this challenge? The night the electricity went out! We had a pretty serious storm the other night and with basically nothing to do (no TV, no computer-boy am I addicted to those!) I lit some candles on my desktop and got to work again. Luckily I had music since I had my trusty Ipod and headphones-made the job much happier.
I emptied out the last 2 CIS binders and got ALL of my stickers organized into categories using two plastic fold out file folders. Now I just have to pull each category and refile these stickers into my CIS binders. I even did a ton of storing and reorganizing of my fibers the same night (yup, that darn electricity was out for almost 12 hours!), so I'm a bit ahead of the game. I would have just gone on ahead and finished the sticker refiling, but it was too difficult in the low light.
I am just loving this challenge (it's so empowering, uplifting and inspiring)! Thanks again for doing it once again.
