Sorry, girls sizes only go up to a 4. That is why they are "girl" sizes.

there's no girls size that would fit you. Girls who have your (my) size foot have to start wearing women's.

I shop in the kids sizes at Nordstroms, I'm lucky I can wear a 3. I think they have higher sizes, not sure how far up they go tho.

I also wear a 7.5 and we have outgrown girl's sizes! Hopefully you can find something else you love just as much.

I wear a 7 or a 7.5 and in girls I wear a 5.5 or a 6. I used to buy a lot of my ballet flats from target in the girls section since they were often similar in style to the ladies and normally about 10 bucks cheaper. Also I want a pr. of toms and I plan on buying the girls youth size 5.5 b/c they are $15 or so cheaper and look identical.

ETA: I have found that girls shoes tend to run a bit wider than ladies shoes (for chubbier little girls feet) and since my feet are just like that (thick and wide) they fit me very well.

There's overlap between girls/Youth size and women's size. my 9yr old can wear size 5 -5.5 in girls or size 7 in ladies.

There doesn't appear to be that overlap in sizes with boys/men's sizes. My DS wears a size 7 youth or mens shoe. They're both the same.

Not true.

I am an adult and I wear an 8 in womens shoes.

At Target, I can buy a size 5 in the girls' department.

One time I was shopping for shoes and the exact thing I wanted was on clearance in the kids' section. I asked an employee if they made anything like that for adults and she said "you know a kids' 5 is the same as a womens' 8, right?"

I've been buying stuff in their kids' department ever since.

A girls 6 is sometimes a bit wide for me. I have several kids sized shoes that are 6 and I am a ladies 7.5.

Thanks for the replies. I am glad more people posted other than the first response which I knew was wrong. Only because I have seen girls shoes in size 5!
I think I will order the shoe from zappos for the free shipping that way if it does not fit I am not out any money.
thanks again peas!

My 10 year old daughter wears a size 8.5 in ladies, but if we can find a 5.5 or a 6 in girls, she can wear those, too, depending on the brand. They aren't as easy to find as the smaller girls' sizes, but they definitely exist!

I wear a 6.5 or 7 in women's and a 5 in girls.

And I wear a 5.5 in boys. I used to buy all my cleats in the boys section.

I wear a 6 or a 6.5 in women's and can't fit in girls' shoes at all. I can get tennis shoes in the boy's (sometimes a 4 or 4.5) but none of the girls shoes fit me

When I worked in the shoe business size 5 in women's was equivalent of size 3 in girls, 6 women's is a 4 in girls. Girls used to stop there but if they have larger sizes in girls I would assume the sizing is still 2 sizes less in girls than women's.

I wear a 6 in women's and a 4 in girls. I'd assume you'd wear a 5 1/2 or 6 in girls. HTH!

You would be a 5.5 in girls. Anniversary sale starts July 15 and they always have some of the kids keens on sale.

Fyi at nordstroms kids shoes go up to a 6 and target they only go up to a 5

uh oh! I didn't know they started making girls shoes so much larger but Heidi's explanation makes sense as to why I never found them years ago when I hit a 7 in womens.

OMG and to think of all the blingy tenni's I have passed on. My DH is not gonna be happy LOL

If it requires a 'girls' size... you probably shouldn't be wearing it. Just my two cents.

well one thing I just realized recently was that I may actually still be a 6.5 but have been sized up an entire size because of width. my arch is very high and that gives me a lot of issues! so it would be interesting to see if the girls shoes run wider since fewer shoes styles are available in a WW.

This is interesting. I had no idea that girls' sizes had an overlap. I wear a 6 or a 6.5 in women's, so I could definitely fit into a girls size.

Lots of times Target offers the same styles in the women's as tehy do the girls...and it's cheaper.

In fact, I recently bought a dress from Target's "Calypso" line. They had the same dress in the women's as they do in the girls. Women's price: $39.99

Girls price: $16.99. I fit into a large or xl girl's so it was a great deal!

That's crazy! I never knew that. It does explain though how my daughter all of a sudden fit into a size 7 or 7 1/2 shoe in the women's shoe section. I didn't think feet grew that much in a short span. D'oh!

I got a great pair of girls' sandals last summer that I get lots of compliments on -- I refrain from telling them that my 8-yr-old and I could have bought matching pairs...

I always check out the girls' section when I shop. And when I can find tennis shoes WITHOUT Hannah Montana on them, I snap them up...

a size six in womens is typically a size four in girls. i have bought a lot of cute sandals and tennis shoes in the girl's department. the prices are usually cheaper, and you might be surprised at how adult looking some of the styles are.
