ok...

studio - 2011 - update - remember, i mentioned, maybe, last week that i'd tweaked some things? here's the update.

bird/cage canvases - the canvases i've been meaning to post.

for the love of art - a lo from yesterday.

eta: got another dyl lo done - hose-bath

and another of dagda - claws and effect

i was having issues yesterday - everytime, i'd rotate a picture, it'd disappear (it would hide itself), so i'd have to find it and unhide it. finally, i figured out it's an issue between windows 7 and mcafee - talk about irritating. so, it looks like i'm going to be installing pse on this laptop, which i really didn't want to do because it's such a huge program, but i've read this only happens in windows photo programs, so...

have you ladies seen the free big idea festival at big picture classes?

oh, and i'm still (very patiently, atleast for me) waiting for christy tomlinson's she had three hearts workshop to start. lol...

have a great sunday!

My punches are all in a couple of Jetmax 3-drawer units. And I finished my punch index thing during the last round (wahoo!) so I'm good for this week too.
I've actually been scrapping quite a bit. I'm taking the Online Summer Card Camp Class and The Allison Davis Sketch Class at My Creative Classroom. It's making me get all kinds of stuff done.

Punches...no problem. I have a 3 drawer Sterlite stack that houses them all. When I go to a crop, I have a 12x12 canvas tote/drawer that I place my most loved, most used punches in. Since I've been cropping at the kitchen table this summer, the 12x12 tote hasn't been emptied much. But, I am using my punches more.

I'm taking the Sketch Support class at MyCreativeClassroom, as well. DS is taking the KiddingAround 2 class at BPC. I can see doing his project myself (w/some tweaks), sometime in the future. I'm thinking of doing Shimelle's Explore class, too.

I have been very productive, as far as organizing, this week...hoping it continues.

My punches are taken care of too...exept that Girl Friday has temporarilly misplaced one of my circle punches.

Mine live in 3 iris clamshells...one for true punches, one for borders, and one for corners.

It is stop and start for me this summer. I actually have all the kids for the summer, so free time is less...but I am not working 9-5, so on a rainy day... creativity reigns!).

Cristy-I am taking that free class in august from BPC!
I am also still working my OLW class.

here is what I am working on now!

Good evening ladies. I've got a lot going on right now, so I am going to be keeping this short and sweet. Firtst, the...
question of the week (just for fun): have you been scrapbooking this summer?
It has been off and on. I have been somewhat busy with work and all, so free time for scrappin has been pretty scarce. My daughter is with my parents for two weeks, so I think this is the perfect time to work on her album for her 13th birthday next month.

As for my punches, they are all in a drawer in my closet. I use them sporadically, so this system works for me.

Y'all have a good week!!

hi, all

First thing i will do is answer this:
question of the week (just for fun): have you been scrapbooking this summer?

no I have been busy doing summer actiivites with kids that left little time for scrapbooking. but I do take 15 to 20 minutes to work on this challenges so I'm making some progress. I so have to updated on my blog which is being neglect right now.

My punches are currently store in 3 drawer sterile stack--I have two of them fill of punches. However, I'm planning to change it to this system I saw on Nichol Magouirk's studios. She used DVD and CD mesh baskets to store her punches. That what i like that i can store things by types and themes. so I add those baskets to my shopping list for next month to buy. so that will be new projects.

I will have follow up on previous weeks as soon as I get a chance to take some pictures and post it on my blog.

Hey gang! Super busy, so this will be quick. Just got back from Mexico, where we built a house for a family! SUCH an AWESOME experience! Anyway, this is another easy week for me, because I am NOT into punches. Seriously, I have three...a corner rounder, a decorative corner punch and a 1" circle punch. I am currently in the market for a 2" circle punch, but that's it. I use my Silhouette for cutting everything! My punches are in an organizer box on my desk.

I HAVE been scrapping this summer! I'm loving Nic Howard's color class...learning some fun new techniques and getting some favorite photos scrapped. Also doing LOTS of cards, since there are a ton of summer birthdays (and holidays and graduations) in our family! Check my blog for some of my stuff.

I'm going to do the free class at Big Pictures, too! That will be the week I start my "Project Life" type of book, too. Hopefully all of that will keep my mind off the fact that I'm old and an empty nester! LOL!

I have a small 3-shelf book shelf sitting on the floor to the left side of my desk. Top shelf are 3 CM tote bags by shapes - 1 for circles, 1 for squares, 1 for other ie hearts, stars. Middle shelf border punches. Bottom shelf assorted tag shaped punches.

QOTW: No, I haven't done alot of scrapping this summer though that is usually the case with me. I am more active in the fall and winter.

Have a good week!

Punches are easy peasy in my room. Shoe organizer over the door. LOVE it!!!

No, I haven't been scrapping. In the summer it's hit and miss as we're usually out of the house in the evenings/weekends. By the time we come in, there's time to toss in a load of laundry, swipe the counters and hit the pillow.

By mid August I've usually had enough of the heat and am itching to get back to scrapping. Because it's been so stifling hot this year, maybe I'll start earlier

I'm going back and forth about the Week in the Life thing. I'm planning to start my Project Life project the first week of August, so I can't decide if doing Week in the Life will help me get into the swing of it or distract me! LOL! I printed out the PDF that Ali provided on her blog and stuck it in my purse, so I may try it out but not get too stressed out about it. I've got so much going on right now in various areas of my life that I'm not sure I add something else. On the other hand, it might give me some good perspective!

BTT ... you can tell it's summertime when ....

I like your take on WITL Beth. Take it in stride and not get too stressed about it.

I'm hoping it will jumpstart my mojo....

Hi everyone. I just finished my inventory of punches last night. I have a total of 41 punches (a lot more than I thought I had). So last night while watching episodes of "Criminal Minds" (love that show), during the commercials I'd punch out cardstock with my punches. I noted on the back of the punched shapes which company made the punch.

Then I sat down with my Scrap-a-Log (I bought this way back in 2001, and haven't used it much at all. It's a binder with filler pages in it where you can inventory your scrap stash. `They have pages for layouts, markers and pens, ink pads, and such and you can fill these in.) and glued each shape onto the punch inventory page, noting who made it and where it was stored.

My punches are stored in tilt bins in my walk-in storage closet, and some are in the bottom drawer of an Iris drawer unit. But I'm considering moving them all to the tilt bins because of how heavy they are.

QOTW: Have you been scrapping this summer? No, not yet. I've been scrapping since 1997, but got very sick for the last three years with clinical depression. During those 3 years I didn't scrap at all. I'm just starting to feel better now and doing this organization challenge has really helped to spark my creativity and longing to scrap again. I'm waiting until I finish the challenge to begin again. I did make 3 cards recently (they are much faster) to get back into it. I do still have the memory loss also (not to worry, I've made my peace with it), and I'm finding I've forgotten lots of techniques, even the basics, but I'll just learn them again.
