I hope you had a Happy Birthday, Crisann

Just got back from vacation, I am still swaying like on the cruise ship!

I usually cover my chipboard with patterned paper... or else I paint it then spritz some glimmer mist on.

Morning It's a holiday here in Canada so I'm heading out for coffee with a friend shortly. Love the lazy days of summer!!

I use ink, sometimes paint for naked chipboard. Embossing powder is a neat idea too!! May have to give that a try.

Glad you had a fun birthday Cristi

Hope you had a great birthday, Cristi!!

My chipboard is usually covered in PP. Although, i will say I do like to spray it but have problems with my spray nozzles clogging.

My chipboard is as organized as its going to get too so I'm good for this week. Thank goodness since it's almost halfway over!

Like others have said, I've got a handle on the organization of my chipboard sheets and individual pieces, so I'm good for this area.

I have been using chipboard quite a bit lately. Some things I have done with it:

--covered with paper

--colored with inks (one color or layers of various shades), then covered with layers of DecoArt Triple Think Glass Glaze. It's like Frank's Red Hot sauce - I put that %$#! on everything! It gives a nice, dimensional shine in one coat, and it dries pretty fast.

--colored with bic markers, then cover with the glaze

--coated with gesso and then painted with acrylic paint

--used it plain

--used scrap pieces of chipboard as a pop-dot to lift another embellishment (just glue it to the back of the embellishment and then to the back of the base paper; cheaper than using pop dots/double-side foam tape.

--once covered in some way, I've used the shapes as journaling blocks, a frame around a title, a shaped base for a title made of sticker letters, and all sorts of embellishments.

It definitely slows down the layout process, but it's nice to customize the pieces to the rest of the layout, and it's fun to come up with new ways to use it.

So either we don't have a lot of chipboard users this round, or it's a popular week for vacations

Either way, here's a bump from page 2.

Happy Birthday, Cristi!

Chipboard? Generally, the chipboard I use is already embellished.

I guess if I had to use the naked chipboard I have buried in my room, I would use my paint daubers. That would require me to use two things in my room that are currently buried. LOL.

I've been tapering off this challenge quite a bit, mostly because it's summer, but, the real culprit is, I have no patience to explore the depths of my room.

Hoping to get in there once the boys go back to school again.

Hope you had a Happy Birthday too Cristi!

This is an easy week for me so I'm trying to get caught up on some of the other challenges I didn't finish. I did finally get all of my wooden stamps organized and put up on shelves and another organizer. I still have to index them all, but so far so good.

I don't use chipboard. I didn't scrap for 3 or 4 years due to a chronic illness, and now that I've come back there are so many new goodies and new styles. Chipboard just isn't me.

See you all next week!

Just popping in to say Happy Belated Birthday Cristi!

I realized that I used to have alot of naked chipboard and for whatever reason stopped buying as much (prob just too lazy to deal with it lol). I keep all the shapes pretty much together although I do keep stars and hearts and flower shapes in their very own drawers.

As long as you're not lining up at 4pm for the early bird specials and then in bed by 7, you should be good

Hey, gals! Sorry I've been MIA...spent this entire week in insurance class...how exciting...NOT!! But I did pass my test today, so I will now be a licensed insurance agent. Not that I will use it, but I do work for an insurance company so they paid for me to get it so I did!

Anyway...I don't have much chipboard, so no big organizational issues. I have been using the little I do have, though, and I've been coloring it with my Copics and then clear embossing it. I've been an embossing queen lately...very fun to "play"!

OK, I'm a little brain dead tonight...and I have to get up tomorrow to move some of DS's things into his college apartment. One more week until I'm an empty nester!!
