Hi girls! Hope y'all had a good week end. We spent ours in Big Bear celebrating my daughter's 13th birthday! It was a blast. I still can't believe she is officially a teen-ager. AHHHHHHHHHHH! Now, I guess I will get on to the....
question of the week: favorite pens for journaling?

I don't really have a favorite pen for journaling. I don't do much journaling, but when I do, I use whatever pen goes with my layout. Of course, I make sure it is acid-free.

As for how they are organized, right now they are in one of my infamous photo boxes. I'm not sure how I want to store them yet, so this is their temporary home.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Y'all have a good week!

Hey, gals! Now that the kids are safely tucked away at Purdue (safely? well, that's how I prefer to think of it!), I've got a little extra time for myself. Still trying to finish up my Week In The Life album, which I'm doing digitally so I'm learning as I go on that one. I just wanted to make it "simple"...haha! Also doing the Big Idea Festival at BPC...so many projects at once...ACK!

Several weeks ago I fashioned a pen holder out of a fabric box from Meijer and some black foam board...I will try to remember to post a picture of it. I have all my pens in there but not organized yet. I plan to organize by type first and then color. I have my tiny Copic collection on one side and all of my pens that work in my Silhouette on the other, with random black and white pens in the middle. I did have them all in little Sterilite drawers, but I was contantly rummaging around trying to find the right color. I'm hoping my new storage will solve that problem.

Oh, and I don't really have a favorite pen for journaling. I have lots of fine point pens I use in my Silhouette, so I usually use one of the black ones, or one that matches my layout.

Currently counting down. 2 more weeks until school starts and some quiet during the day (minus SIL & co.) I need my pea time!

My pens are rubber banded together in color bundles stored in a box.

QOTW: I have been using Martha Stewart writing pens in Ebony...I've also used Sakura Glaze and my old Zig pens.

Have a good week

Well, of course they do, Amanda! I luckily have only a tiny collection and am trying hard not to add to it...we'll see how that goes for me! Still haven't done my organization for the week...but I AM almost done with my WITL album! I'll catch up again next week since I don't have any dies or cartridges thanks to my beloved Silhouette.

Morning Girls. Page 5. That must've been why I didn't see this thread.

School starts here in 6 days. My kids are ready. I'm ready. I'll have my youngest at home until after Labor Day but then he'll be in school too.

QOTW - Zig and sometimes I journal with SU markers if I need a dark brown or blue.

My pens are all organized in various locations but they are all organized. I did buy one of those white desk top spinner things from M's several weeks ago. I like it a lot. I did have to put some plastic beads in the bottom of some of the openings to make it so my pens and tools didn't rattle all over.

Have a great rest of the week. It's Friday so there isn't much left, LOL!

Hi everyone,

QOTW-Favorite pen for journaling? For awhile now I've been using the Zig Ball pen, it's 5mm and is marked as archival. Not only is it acid free, but it's waterproof and fade proof. I think that's important for a pen used for journaling in a scrapbook. These pens have started feeling a little "scratchy" to me.

Lately I've been hungering for my old pens that I used for everyday writing.I loved those pens! They write like smmoooth butter. The stores don't carry them any more, but they can be ordered online. It's the Pilot P-700. In my online search I've discovered that not only are they acid free, but they're fade proof and water resistant. Once I order these I plan to use them in my journaling and everyday writing. They also sell the Pilot-P500 which is a .5mm pen. I like them both.

I keep my pens and markers in a storage unit that I bought from a scrapbook store long ago. It's not even full, but I love it. It sits on my desk and I can see each pen clearly, plus they can be organized by brand and then color which is how I use it. I do still have two of those zig pens sets that came in a plastic case. I took them out of the handled case and they sit on my desk on their sides with the pens horizontal.

I have a set of 48 Prismacolor pencils that I took out of the cardboard case they came in, and they are now sitting on my desk in an old ceramic jar from Germany that I've had for at least 20 years. I love this jar-it has scenes of Medieval Life going around the sides. Have no idea where I got it(my grandmother probably sent it from Germany) or what it used to hold. It holds my pencils very well, they fan out along the round sides of the jar and I can find the color I need quickly.

See you all next week. BTW I'm planning to take photos of how my storage turned out after I finish this challenge and post them. I invite you all to join me. I should have done this week by week, but I kept forgetting.

Debbie in MD.
