I have searched all my local craft stores: HL, M's, and J's without any luck. Where have you found it? Is it hiding in a random section in the store? I want to use it to make some homemade glue dots. TIA!

It's with the glue section in both Michaels and JoAnn. Look for a bunch of Aleene bottles, along with Mod Podge, etc. Good luck! Just a couple of days ago I made 4 sheets of big glue dots to go with buttons. Now I've learned that we can also use Tack It Over & Over to re-stickify our Cricut mats!

Michaels in the glue section (not scrapbooking area). My Joann and Hobby Lobby does not carry it, and neither did my Walmart.

Hope you find it--those are the best glue dots! Sticky sticky sticky!
How do you all store yours? Mine are laying on every flat surface in my scrap space since I put them there to dry a couple months ago. I keep forgetting to find a storage solution.

How do you all store yours?
I put my home-made glue dots onto strips (actually, I still have a lot of strips left from the original packages when I used to buy Glue Dots, so I'm still reusing those!), then after they've turned clear, I store 4-5 strips face down on a cut piece of baking parchment paper.
I cut the pieces of parchment paper just large enough to fit in a quart-size ziploc baggie.
I've been using the same strips and parchment pieces for over a year now...as they empty, I just set them aside for the next time I make a new batch.
HTH! |

I found mine at M's. It was in the section with all the adhesives, though, not the scrapping section.

You can also make awesome home made glue dots, including really big ones, with the Best Glue Ever from www.ScraPerfect.com. I keep a stash of them on sticker backing for all kinds of things.
Here's a video from You Tube about what Best Glue Ever does.

I use it to add adhesive to unmounted rubber stamps. You can buy sheets of rubber that are rubber stamps, but they aren't cut out and it's just a sheet of rubber. It is so much more economical this way and easier to store since you don't use a wood block.
I cut out each stamp image and then coat the bottom of a clean pizza box with a layer of the tack it over and over. Once this dries I lay down the stamp images image side down so that the black rubber is facing up. I then coat the rubber images with some tack it over and over using a brush and then let them dry. I think I used to dilute the glue, but I can't remember and will have to look that up (haven't done this in quite a while).
Once they are dry they are dry I use them by slapping them onto an acrylic block. Just another great way to use Tack it over and over.

PS It's not black rubber it's usually regular ole red rubber. Still getting over a migraine, so my typing skills are off.

I've only found it at Michael's in the glue section. I've only seen it at JoAnns online. I've never seen it at Walmart.
Michael's was temporarily out of it last year on our yearly trip to El Paso so when I found some in stock this year, I bought TWO bottles so I'd have it in case I needed it! Because... well, they might be out of it again next year! |

Thanks ladies, I finally found some this weekend! There was one bottle at Michaels. I am guessing they have just been out of stock for awhile.

Didn't realized this was an old thread until I saw my response! I guess ouizee is looking for this stuff and found the old thread! I've learned to not call the store, just go look and you will probably find it. It is in all the Michael's that I've checked and it is with the other Aleene's glue in the glue section. |
