I'm looking at the expedit (small one), jetmax, etc. and just saw that Michaels has their Recollections brand storage cubes on sale for 50% off this week. Are they as good as jetmax, etc? If i got the expedit, I'd still have to get baskets or bins for the stuff I'd be storing in it.

I bought several divided shelves when they were Jetmax and then they changed to Recollections and I can't tell the difference at all. Both are doing great in terms of durability, etc.

I don't know about their storage but their paper is low quality, like the old DCWV papers.

I love it, it's the same to me. I also love the Recollections brand cardstock too (cardstock, not paper pads)

My Michaels has a couple put together for display and they don't seem any different (to me) than the Jetmax cubes.

I've only bought one Recollections branded storage item, the spinning table top carousel (like a Clip it Up). I was not impressed and took it back. It was really easy to set up, but the base is 3 U-shaped prongs that are not sturdy at all. It's also not really tall enough to be efficient (it's 2 level, so only short items). It can be put in the center of a table top tool caddy (fit perfectly in my MM one), but the you lose all the storage space in the caddy.

I have some crop n style cubes and need a few more to make a desk. CNS are so expensive. I thought I might try these. For those that use them and WRMK 3 ring albums, how many will fit in a cube?

A girlfriend of mine just built a monster scrap table, and used these for the base. She loves them, said they were easy to put together and are very sturdy. Her desk is Awesome!!

I have both Jetmax and Recollections and I can't tell the difference, they are both great.

I don't think they can be painted unless you use a primer but I did see some black ones at a Hobby Lobby in IL and one in OH.

They are made by jetmax with the recollections brand put on the box. They are going to be on bigger discount on thanksgiving and black Friday so I recommend waiting!
