I've really been debating with myself over taking this class. Yesterday, after I saw Penny's first post, I just could not get it out of my head. So...I signed up for Twelve this morning! This will be my first Stacy Jullian class, I've heard she's a excellent teacher. Can't wait to get started!

. finish up H's albums
. make an acrylic album
. finish my heritage albums
. sort Dad's genealogy stuff
. try to finish up the several albums that are started; label them; move them downstairs where they can be enjoyed
. make mini albums
. oh, yeah, get my [s]crap place organized & KEEP IT NEAT!

Just got the ok to sign up. Class starts tomorrow and I have not got anything ready. Taking one photo a day also to help me with my first attempt at PL. Hope I am not taking more than I can handle. Looking forward to this adventure with my fellow peas.

No worries, sweetpea - getting your 12 dividers ready won't take long. I didn't sign up until 12/30 and I finished mine this morning.

I see this and PL going hand in hand. Am I dreaming?

I've not signed up for any classes since June '11 and don't have any others in the hopper {yet} for '12. So, I am itching for the bell to ring.

Oh my...I'm not ready for class! I'm out of town and tomorrow starts Twelve, PL, OLW, and MMEW. I'll be tardy as usual.

I have nothing ready for Twelve. I'm set up for the others though.

Don't worry TXMary, I'm in the same boat as you with the same classes. There's no way you'd be able to cover everything for all 4 of those in the same day anyhow. Enjoy your time away, take pictures for your PL and we'll see you over at BPC when you're back.

So Penny ... how early did you log in this morning?? I can picture you bouncing out of bed and heading to a computer so excited like a kid excited for the first day of school

I am confused about this class. When I read about it on SJ's website I got the impression it was something that was only 12 weeks long, not through the year.

So I don't understand the post from Pennyscraps:

"For what it's worth, I don't think this is the gist of it at all. She talks about inspired scrapbooking and I don't feel like a rote 12 on 12 would be that at all. It's 12 LO's a month for 12 months"

So does the class that run from Jan through March? If it is only 12 weeks long, that price does seem a bit steep.

I took a peek about 7:30. I stayed up too late to be up any earlier.

It looks great. Am about to print out the hand-outs. We have Les Mis' show at 2 PM and am really resenting it right now. Ha, ha. I did run to Target, wishing for a colorful 3-ring, but it wasn't there. I may have to dig through my closets to find one.

I am excited! Still!

Yodlo, from today's intro post, Stacy said:

The creative process is positively essential to my vitality as a woman, so … I am committing myself to TWELVE. Twelve weeks, twelve topics, twelve colors and twelve months—my goal in 2012 is to tell my story, with you! I want us all to feel inspired and more importantly to be ready to respond when inspired ideas come.

The class is formally twelve weeks long, but there will be emails and follow-up all year long, plus we are getting a journal mailed to us 1/5, the day registration closes. SJ talks about the class a couple of times on her recent blog posts, and she tweeted Trey working on the Journals.

WOW!! I watched her welcome video and then watched The Setup Slideshow and I have to say I am blown away thrilled by the content and the direction of the class!!

Off to watch the BIG football game. Tomorrow will find me downloading and printing.

Trying to tell myself it's okay that my bin dividers aren't the colors of the rainbow.

Ok ok Penny ... UNCLE!!!

I caved last night and signed up. SJ is indeed amazing and I've never had a disappointing class from her either in real life or online. Once I listened to her Paperclipping Podcast where she says that Twelve is "hugher" than LOM, well ... the decision made itself! (Along with Penny's arm twisting!)

I'm taking Karen Russell's photography class (my Christmas present), One Little Word, and Move More Eat Well ... and yes I know I'm insane, but I figured I'll just spend less time pea-ing and more time "studying". Scrapbooking is being made a priority for me in 2012, so I figure I might as well jump in with both feet. Wish me luck!

And thanks for helping make the decision Penny!

I got a great wire file basket at Hobby Lobby today. Liked it so much, I got one for my DIL to make for Christmas gift for next year. I have 3 of my dividers all ready and have the paper cut for the next 9. Just have to glue them together.

Got the muffin tins but not sure if I will do them. I typically don't put different embelishments together so I will wait some on this.

This class is definitely reinventing my scrapping. DH will be away the weekend of Jan 13th and I can play to my heart's content...can't wait.

I'm in over there and my name is the same. Continuity, don't you know?

Still resisting the muffin tin thing. I *MAY* pull things into a scraponizer by color - but I just am not the gal who likes to divide my stuff up and have it sitting out.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the class so far, but I feel like we should be doing a LO! Dividers set up, check lists printed, emails read.

Need to listen to SJ's audio for the week and Ira Glass this weekend. I started her audio and then she told me to stop and think. I haven't stopped thinking yet.

I KNOW!!! I'm (almost) wondering when the "stop thinking" part is going to come But not really, because I have a million and seven ideas going through my head and jotted down on paper. I almost can't jot them down as fast as they're coming ... plus there is work and driving that does require a bit of brain power

Wait until you listen to the Ira Glass videos - they're VERY thought provoking.

I'm all ready to go too!! I'm thinking we can start scrapbooking now?? I don't think there's a "go" gun shot, and this week the topic was You wasn't it?? I have a few things to finish up on a couple of other classes (that are quickies) and then I'm diving into this one with both feet!!

Ugh. I have spent the day reworking some things in my scraproom that were *slightly* broken. You know how you just add and add and add to the pile and then suddenly what WAS organized is all a pile?

But, I am about done. Need 2 more Cropper Hoppers and I think I will grab those at M's madness sale tomorrow. {I AM very excited about the tweaks in my room and I think it will really help me plow through TWELVE and stay on top of PL.}

So, back to scrapping with what's left of today. I'm wondering what albums you are using for the PHOTOS I LOVE. I want to say that I am thrilled that she is diving into this, because I didn't get *enough* of it out of LOM. And I want to start finding/tagging/printing PHOTOS I LOVE.

I don't want to use an AC album, because all of my LOM albums are WRMK. I am thinking about one of these WRMK Designer albums. I like the classic lines of the black one.

So, what are you using and what do you think?

Fixed my link.

Also, popped in here to say I finally finished her YOU message and I thought it was pretty big! I got all my 12 topic sheets printed out and in page protectors in a folder and I also printed out the transcript for the YOU audio. I want to listen to it again and jot down some notes.

On another note - I think the MB's over there are OUT.OF.CONTROL. Waaaay too much content to keep up!

I'm using my same name as well. Im done with the dividers and the tin, I wasn't going to it because I'm a little bit of a neat freak and the tin is so open and I have 2 kids. So I see all the embellishments on the floor at some point. But I did it anyway, I think the goal is to put one on every page and you can see your progress every time you add on to your page, the muffin tin embellishments will get smaller and smaller. I might not add 1 for every page but I will take 1 out for every page.
Good choice for albums penny, I will use the black leather one for my album, I also like the vanilla one as well.

Another original one- I'm TXMary over there too.

I swore I wasn't going to do the muffin tin, but somehow one jumped into my cart. I haven't actually done anything with it yet though. I have cats. Why did I buy a muffin tin to put tiny embellishments in????

I finished my dividers. My bin is slightly smaller at the bottom so it took some adjusting to get the dividers right. I printed out the checklists for each month and put a ring through the bingo cards.

I'm going to use a black and white tapestry print album for my favorite photos. It's post bound, but I figure there won't be more than 20 LOs going in there anyway. I just love the print on the cover so I had to grab it.

Just checking in again...I've had company here all week (my MIL, first time she's visited us since we moved to Cali) and they all finally cleared out yesterday. YAY! I haven't done ONE thing for twelve yet, but I've got a bin and paper ready to go. I am SO far behind!

Just wondering about the albums-- is anybody going to NOT use a 12x12 album like Stacy suggests? I switched to 81/2 x 11 when I took the LOM class and really don't want to go back to 12x12.

Oh and I'm Pen-and-Ink at BPS too.

I'm off to start watching all the videos. Hope I can catch up this week.

I think the Photos I Love album should most definitely be a size you want it to be.

I just listened to YOU audio message again, after printing out the transcript so I could jot down notes the second time around. Man, is it powerful!!!

I'm still sugaredsongbird at BPS (no split personalities for me).

I am in overwhelm.

Besides still needing to watch the storytelling and this weeks presentation, keep up the MB -maybe; the topics from the triggers and emails are fascinating- I just need more time!

What is 12 in 2012? Is it a class to do one layout a month?

It's a class by Stacy Julian. It's 12 months of motivation to do 4 layouts a week on 12 topic categories. Or, FUN.

Oh - my SNAIL MAIL came today. Funny thing, though. I had a Skittle Thief.

The envelope was torn and taped back together. When I pulled out the contents, the bags of Skittles was MIA.

my journal. What are y'all doing with yours?

Interesting concept. I watched the little video on the 12 reasons for taking the class just now. I was on vacation and somehow missed all the talk about this class, but considering the $144 price tag, I probably wouldn't have signed up regardless. It looks like registration is closed, anyway.

I love the concept of getting 12 layouts done per month, though.

Have fun! Part of me wishes I could join in on the fun, but I can hope all of you will show us some great layouts you create for this class.

So how is everyone doing in class? I did my 12 LO's for January - but still have not dove into my journal and my inspiration folder seems to be limping.

How are YOU doing in class?

I have not done all of my LO's for Jan, but I'm not going to stress about it. I have added many ideas to my topics & I am excited about that, feel like I have reconnected & am excited about the LO's I will be doing!

My inspiration file is done, but I haven't used the journal yet.

What do you think of the Photos I Love Album? Sounds fun!

I am VERY excited about the Photos I Love album. Stacy touched on that in Library of Memories, but I've never dove into the concept. I think it may be one of my favorite parts of class.

How are you using your journal?

I'm glad we have our "little" thread over here. That message board is CRAZY!

Journal - Haven't touched it I only received it last week and I've had all of these ideas rolling around from the vey beginning that I HAD to write somewhere .... so I started with another notebook that I keep in my purse and jot down everything craty related. Not too sure if I'm going to transfer the "twelve" stuff over or give it another month or two. I guess I'm too worried about messing it up?? Or worrying about 2 notebooks to keep track of??

Inspiration Bin - My bin was an epic fail I never used it, never looked in there for ideas, because my lists are more in that notebook vs the inspiration bin anyways. So instead I changed my bin into a "binder". Each of the 12 topics has a page protector, my ziploc of embelishments is attached to the page protector and there's lots of room to grow. Plus it's portable AND it's able to sit on my desk in a better spot. I'm hoping I'll use it better this way.

Layouts - I hit 10 out of the 12. I have ideas for #11, but I'm completely stuck on the "fun" idea ... what did you do for Fun Penny?? I am loving the idea of Photos I Love album and for January, I'm using an older picture instead of one I've actually taken in January. I *just* bought one of the WRMK Designer Albums, cream with the aqua on the spine. LOVE it!!! The cream and green one is really pretty in person as well - might have ot go back to the LSS for that one next

So after all of that - I am still just as excited about this class as I was on day 1 So many stories are flowing through my head and I am LOVING every single one of those 10 layouts I've done already. LOVE them. Usually, I'll love 1 in 5 or so. But to have 10 layouts that you've done in a row that you love?? Amazing!!
