i finally organized my alphas onto a HL "Clip it Up"..by color. Works much better at home. All the alphas r together. B4, the Thickers & similar were someplace & the more 3-dimensional, solid alphas were in a divided plastic case that I would forget to look in. & some other kind was someplace else. Now, they are all together. I like that!

not great for taking to crops, but, 'oh well!' the other system prob. wasn't great for crops either!

my scrappy goals for 2012:
. finish all the bits and pieces on LOs which are missing a letter, or a picture needs to be reprinted, etc.
. finish up H's albums
. make an acrylic album
. finish my heritage albums
. sort Dad's genealogy stuff
. try to finish up the several albums that are started; label them; move them downstairs where they can be enjoyed
. make mini albums
. oh, yeah, get my [s]crap place organized & KEEP IT NEAT!

This is one area I'm really thrilled with I've linked up my pictures as other then the hardware drawers, it's all exactly the same.

Here's my link from last year (2010):
2010 - Week 10 Alphas

And yes, I do have a cricut that I use quite often, so I'm not quite sure why I have so many alphas

No, I don't make resolutions, I make new habits. I put them up on my blog if you want to have a peek.

Happy New Year everyone

Well I have made a big dent in mine, I gave a huge container to a middle school scrapbook class...... They also got pile of over 20" of patterned papers (probably more then that). Haven't gotten to the cardstock yet. The Y also got a bunch of stuff.

I have a shelf where I keep Thickers (over 100 sets).

My chipboard alphas-which I NEVER use but would like to incorporate into my PL or layouts and use them up- are in and overflowing a plastic 3 drawer cart.

Alpha stamps are on a shelf. I rarely use them, but again think I may be able to use them in my PL.

Now that I read this I am thinking I need to gather together all of the PL stuff into a container of some sort...

Happy New Year, everyone!

I promised to post pictures of my progress, so here goes:
bookcase and paper storage

The last photo is of my border strip storage. I stitched a 12x12 page protector into 4 pouches. Works like a charm.

Now to tackle my alphas...

I am loving the results of this challenge. I haven't scrapped much in the last while, but it already seems more' do-able' knowing where everything is.

Hello again, after a fairly good start I've been missing for a few weeks due to life getting in the way the more important things like crafting.

My alphas need a little sorting to weed out those that are really not worth keeping but are mostly in order. This is quite good going because I do love my alphas and have rather a lot. I am also actually using them rather than hoarding them.

I don't make new year's resolutions because I never keep them I prefer to try and make gradual changes

Thanks, Kris, although I must thank Amanda (SrappnBee) for the inspiration. She mentioned page protectors and I thought narrower would be good...

Decided to scrap today, so alphas will just have to wait

Hi all,

I'm new to the challenge, but have been lurking for a while. I just purchased a clip it up to organize my alphas. Currently theyre in a shoebox and they've outgrown it. I have a small corner of the living room as my scrap space so I've been slowly but surely trying to organize it little by little. Excited to see everyone else's ideas!

I must be honest, I haven't touched my alphas yet i did some scrapping (2 LOs) and spent some time here and at work.

Yeah, excuses, I know. Will just have to spend some time this weekend sorting chipboard letters...

I know if I get behind I'll never catch up again, so I need to get this done before Monday Procrastinator me is having a ball!

My alphas are stored two ways. Chipboard alphas are sorted by letter in a 16 drawer unit, 2 letters per drawer. The drawers are labeled. Letter stickers are stored in 8.5 x 11 page protectors in a zippered binder, after all of these are used up I won't be replacing them. I have 3 different sets of Cuttlebug dies for alphas and just got the MS letter punches for Christmas so I will be making my own letters in place of stickers. That way I will always have what I want instead of so many sheets with no "e" or "o" like I have now!

Thanks to Amanda and Michele for the suggestions to store borders, I remembered that I had extra divided pages for my PSB to hold all those strips instead of trying to store them in original packaging and then finding a place for the packages!

Hi, and happy new year to everybody!
I hope it will continue better than the last ended and the new started for me. No major drama, but I had a bunch of stuff not going as I planned them. Started the new year sick, but feeling better now. Am soo ready to continue with this challenge!

Good people have kept the challenge alive - thanks Crisann, Kris, Amanda, Michelle!

Now for new year resolutions - I don't really do them this year. I'm working on some lifestyle changes (sleep, water, exercise) but not as resolutions. I don't even have goals for my scrapbooking, I think I need to dedicate time for scrapbboking. I'm not very good at ensuring "Me-time" aka scrapbooking time, is happening on a regular basis.

This week is Alphas. I have sticker-alphas sorted by "color-family" on binder rings and stuffed in a container. It's not ideal as the sticker sheets are different sizes and some get bent. Any ideas? I'd like to have them hanging, but doesn't have wall space. Chipboard alphas are stored with chipboard, which means I don't remember I have them...

Guess I have work cut out for me on this first day back.
Oh, and today's my birthday!

Happy Birthday! Today is my Birthday too. I have my Alphas under control. They are organized in three baskets by color. Most are Thickers, which I use all the time! It's been a very busy week for me with work and today we have a few family Christmas parties and are meeting my parents for lunch. So I am glad that my alphas have already been taken care of. If I remember, I'll try to post photos when I get home tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks
And happy birthday to you too, Skyoreo!
My day has been very nice - we swam and for dinner my DD and DH made me home made spring rolls. Will have family join me for a cake buffet (oh, the joy and excess!)tomorrow, as I can't stand the thought of baking or entertaining for my birthday...

I'm so proud to have gotten all alphas corralled and labeled today. The day are so short - I don't have light to photograph the progress today. But will do so tomorrow. I'm not happy with the sticker alpha storage yet, so I'll have to work more on a solution for those. But apart from that, I'm satisfied.

Happy Birthday ladies

Thought I'd got my alphas sorted and then yesterday I was scrapping and realised I wanted a little sticker alpha that I'd not seen for a while. I found it in a 12x12 baggie along with a load of other alphas and some random sticker sheets. I now need to work those into my system.

Happy birthday, girls! Hope you both have a great day.

Crisann - Hope you feel better soon. Just take it esay and rest a lot.

I have sorted my sticker and rub-ons alphas together into a paper holder by colour. I'm just not sure about the smaller sheets, esp rub-ons. They may get a bit lost in the bottom of a paper holder. Will have to see how it works.

I'm going to tackle the chipboard alphas tomorrow. Mine are in 3 different places now and I want them all together in one box. The box is ready and waiting - just need to do the sorting into baggies.

Alpha stamps are already sorted into a snap-closed clear container. just added a few random ones I found floating around...

I've kinda been working on my room! LoL!! I've worked everyday this week and weekend, I'm on day 6 of 7, when I'm done Monday morning I have several appointments and then I need to get packing. I am leaving for Tennessee/Mississippi on Wednesday. Oh and on Tuesday I have to drive 2 hours from home to go to an orientation class for the graduate program I am starting next week. Part will be online and part will be in a classroom. So back to sorting, I want to get a couple of baskets for my letter stickers and rub-on stickers to go on the shelf over my desk, I have a couple in mind that I saw at Target a couple weeks ago. As for chipboard alphas, I had a huge box full of random letters that I sorted into smaller boxes with lids, I still have to go through 2 other drawers full of chipboard and find all the letter stickers in them to sort into the boxes. I am making progress!

I promised photos, and here they are:
Progress report week 10

I startet out with blog posts about this challenge. That didn't work out. Guess I'm not committed to writing fullblown blog posts on this... I can handle posting a few photos and writing a "what am I doing this week" type comment.

As we go along, I'll add to the photos.
