good afternoon, ladies!

here's the link to wookiemouse's blog.

question of the week: what's your favorite "art medium?" i prefer that term to "paints, glitters, and stickles" - lol...

i'm in love w/ neocolor watercolor crayons. also, heavy body acrylics, but that's the mixed media artist in me. lol...

happy organizing!

I'm home from work today because my DD has a stomachbug. After working a bit from home, I thought I would check if another week was up. And *yay* - it was!

QOTW: It used to be acrylic paint. Now I'm not so sure. I have a few mists, some stickles and watercolors, but not in love with any of them. Mostly use tham to alter colors of chipboard pieces/letters or something similar.

I have acrylics in a box very accessible. What's not as organized is mists and watercolors. I may need to steal some ideas from you fellow organizers!

Now, If I could find a way to keep my three Stickles upside down in my drawer, I'd be a happy camper.

Paints and brushes are in the bottom drawer of a small Sterilite cart beside my table, Stickles are upside down in a hanging basket over my table and the few vials of glitter I have are in a big jar on my shelving unit.

Hard to pick just one favorite, I love painting or using Copics to color chipboard and then using Stickles over that for texture and shine.

Have a good week everyone!

BTT - for the weekend.
Are we not in love with glitters and paint? Or is the weekend eating all of our time?

I'm finally spending a Saturday at home and I'll be organizing this week.
This week I got my hands on the Photo Freedom book I've been wanting. And I think I'm going to take the plunge and arrange/rearrange all of my photos. At 15-minute increments, mind you

Wow, it's Saturday already and I'm only looking at this week's challenge now! But I'm good to go (phew).

My favourite medium is paint, though I don't seem to be using it as much at the moment...

My acrylic paints, mists, glitter and stickles are stored on a narrow shelving unit above my desk. I designed it a while ago and my dad made it for me. It is just perfect. Paintbrushes are stored in my toolcaddy on my desk.

This morning I'm sorting through my 'to be put away' basket, filing paperwork and just getting organised again. I've felt a bit overwhelmed by everything just piling up on my desk. Once I get this under sontrol I'll try doing a bit of scrapping...

It tends to fluctuate between paint, ink, and watercolor pencils.

I love my watercolour pencils but don't use them for scrapping.

My paints are stored in one of my totes and kept under my counter top because I rarely use them.
I don't currently own any loose glitter because I just don't get on with it and my stickle collection is in one of the small plastic drawers that live on the counter top.

All my other 'art mediums' watercolour and ordinary coloured pencils etc live in a storage crate in the closet.

So happy to see you here!
I've made my three stickles stand on end and as I said earliser, my paints etc are in good shape. They're stored in the Expedit near my desk in two small plastic bins with lids.

The weekend has been lovely - two days off work. Nobody going anywhere (which is quite amazing). I've spent my time organizing stuff from a previous week I missed - ideas! Feels like an eternity, but was more like 8-9 hours total.

I've reorganized my idea binders into categories similar to Wookiemouse's. Finding stuff is so much more intuitive. Im not completely done with the reorganizing, but all categories are lebelled and everything is cut, pasted and found a place in a spot. I'll tweak later, but for now, it's GREAT!

I copied Wookiemouse's idea with popsicle sticks in a jar for UFOs. My innovation this weekend was to add two sticks for maintenance; "print ideas" and "get rid of ideas that I no longer care about". I also added some sticks for the beginning steps for Photo freedom. Now when I have some minutes to play I can just randomly pull out a stick, work a little, and know it made a difference.
