HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUBY!!!!! Celebrate all week! Enjoy your family while you are with them.
Had a rough night last night. The Restless legs wouldn't let me sleep. Finally put the female doxie (who is a heating pad) up against my legs and I slept for a little bit. I am exhausted and I don't know if I want to go to church or the fair.
Started working on my BFF's 50th birthday celebration album again last night. Why do I pick them emotional ones to do. Most of the pictures have her father in them and we just lost him in October (along with her MIL), I am not doing any journaling but will leave tags for her to. Her 50th was 4 years ago I think. I had gathered up all the stuff to do the album - then forgot about it till I was going through my project file.

Happy Sunday Morning! I think we're in for rain today so it will be a nice "chill" day! Maybe hazelnut coffee and movies!....and....I don't have to work tomorrow!! Woo Hoo!!
I'm up for the RAK challenge. I'm actually putting some goodies together right now. Hopefully I can find where I downloaded that address excel file.
Denise~thanks for the "share"! Sorry about your legs, that has to be so annoying. Thank goodness for doggie leg warmers!

Happy birthday Ruby!!! I hope the sun is shining in Ontario today, and that the cake is dense and moist. Oh now I just made myself hungry.
Missy, how are you? Are you lurking here? How is the rest of the family? How is your dad? We are all thinking of you so much.
Lisa your stuff is amazing! I like it but I can't publicly 'like' you on FB because that would violate the wild and crazy and quite in-depth contract I have with the company I am working for. Competition. So I will like from afar!
Denise, RLS sucks! I'm so sorry. Have you tried Neurontin? I can tell all day long if I'm going to have RLS that night, just by the wierd sensation of energy in my legs. So I take Neurontin throughout the day and that seems to take care of it. If the RLS sneaks up on me with no warning I get so frustrated and angry with it. I have gone as far as having a major meltdown/hissy fit in the living room and beating my legs with my fists in desperation while Mark sleeps peacefully in the bed... Picture Yosemite Sam when he goes on a tyrade, that's me. LOL You totally can't beat it so you might as well make some cards or something since you know there's not going to be any sleeping going on.
I am very much behind on all the goings on here, so I haven't posted because I am embarassed that there is so much I don't know. So I am starting over. Since I am late getting the swap cards out there will be extras in the package as a 'thank you' for being understanding to all in the swap.
Even though I had never been to TN before Aly and I drove to GA, I've always said that TN will be home for me one day, just based on what I've read and seen in pictures. Driving through TN just confirmed that for me. I am in love. I really am. Other than the Nashville traffic, I'll take the whole package. I am surprised we made it through Nashville alive to tell you the truth! I was thinking that SNPatti lived in Marietta, GA but it was a neighboring town which we also drove right by. And for some weird reason I had it in my head that Lori98 lived in Rockford, IL but I was wrong on that one too. I blame it on the fact that I am a total map-o-phyle. I study them, collect them, lust after them. And things stick in my head.
Last night Mark and I sat on the couch and watched The Stand (most of it) and that's the first time in quite some time we've just veged out. Cats on my lap, popcorn, it was heaven. Today is my nephew's 14th birthday, so we're heading over there at 4 today for cake. Until then I'm pulling out the Cricut and playing a bit. My mom picked up a couple cartriges I've been wanting, at JoAnn yesterday.
I was thinking, we should all put together a master list of what carts and dies we have so we can share. What fun would that be? I would be willing to organize that if any of you are interested.
I still have the leaflets from Claudia's memorial and will get them out to you all as soon as I have a chunk of time to do so.
Lots of love to you girls, have a great Sunday all!

My project this week is my RAK binder. I printer the addresses and surveys. Then put everyone's peaname on a ten divider and have a sheet to insert of things I have learned about each and when I sent an RAK. That way u don't leave anyone out.
Am going to color coordinate the tabs so each color Is a month so I can see who has a birthday each month at a glance.
I am very excited about thus project! I am hoping it helps me learn everyone more and help me RAK more

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am having a quiet day with my family. Alyssa is napping and we are all taking a break. She was up at 4:45 AM this morning. She wouldn't go back to sleep so my SIL got her up. When I got up she had made me a Birthday card and gave it to me with a big huge hug and kiss. That is a gift enough for me.
Mindy I think a cartridge list would be great. I have a lot so will get on that when I return home.
Denise Do you suffer from RLS much. I had this happen when I was on a certain medication. They had to cut the dosage. I hate that feeling in the legs. I honestly didn't know what they called it and I just couldn't describe it to anyone. Hope this doesn't happen too often.
I have my RAK file set up already and when I RAK someone I make a note in my file.
I will take up this week's challenge when I return home.
Hope everyone has a good week. I am really enjoying this weekend and when Alyssa gets up we are going outside. There is only a handful of snow so I want to teach her how to make a mini snowman. We have more snow at home then here at DD. I hope it is gone by the time I get back.
Take care Love to all Ruby

Happy Birthday, Ruby!
Grocery shopping is done, floors are swept, banking is done, first load of laundry is in the washer and now I can PEA!
I, too, have a RAK binder but it really needs some updating. I have all the new lists, just need to sit down and re-organize a bit.
Annie and I made a menu for next week and she's going to start making dinner for us. She's in a routine now with Beau and is getting a bit bored during the day. She does all the laundry but has offered to make dinner as long as she knows what to cook. I'm excited about coming home from work and having dinner already started or on the table.
Tomorrow is Family Day - no work for us!!

Ok guys - just what I need - another binder. I am the queen of the binders.
I made the RAK Survey in excel so if anyone wants a copy I have a page for each person that completed the survey. I am printing mine off and along with a generic calendar so I can put birthdays in too. Thanks for the idea Christi.
Just came back from the state fair. It was windy and drizzling. I ate my way though it - fudge, blooming onion, chicken tender/fry basket, sweet tea. I also had boiled peanuts, pork cracklins and pork rinds. Yummo!
Did I mention that my stove quit and my landlord is getting me a new one! I can't cook unless it is crockpot or microwave. Oh well - diet is back on tomorrow with the salads and fresh veggies.

Hi Mindy!! Nice to see you back safe and sound. Curling up with a dvd is not something I do very often either, good to hear you had some "US" time!
DENISE: Yes, please!! My RAK binder goes back to 2007/8?? When we had like 300-odd people!! I keep chucking the latest on top but it soooo needs a clean out. Can you send me a copy of your excel, please? Then it will motivate me to re-organise my file.
You're an angel.
Ok, off to the dr for a girly visit then back to start packing up my office. I mentioned to Josh, my 15yo that it's gonna take a couple of days to pack up my scrap room and he laughed at me!!! He said he'd like to watch that!! Cheeky monkey. What a ratbag for a kid!
I keep getting client requests for bookings. Repeat clients. I have to say no now and it's so hard. I said no to a client last week. He's come back and begged for me to cook. So I said yes. Now I don't know how or when I am going to do the service!! Ahrgh. I need to learn NO!! sigh.
Ok, that's it from me for now. Gotta run. BBL. xxx

Being obedient to Aunty Chris' request, I have two raks going out in tomorrow's mail. Here's to making someone's day!
Totally lost the packing mojo. Geek left late this morning as he had to buy parts to fix the lawnmower that 'carked it' on Saturday. I can now finish the lawns. But because he left so late, my day was thrown out of whack. I spent the afternoon making cards instead. I mean, come on! What's a girl meant to do?? Hide in her happy cave, that's what!
I'll get some dinner and *maybe* pack a bit - if I can find that darn mojo!! (Maybe I packed it already! lol)

Maggie - pack your scrapping/card making supplies LAST! At least you will have your sanity if you are able to be creative till you just have to pack. I made the mistake of packing all my supplies first and then was so stressed because I didn't have anything to do. When I got to the new house - the first thing I did was set up the bed, bathroom and coffee maker -then the craft room!
Christine - I feel your pain - the dogs had me up at 6:00.
Hope I hear from Coke today as to when I can start working. I can't imagine a background check can take this long.

Morning!
No school today, . Think I might be happy about that??
HapPea Belated birthday to Ruby .Hope your day was a sspecial as you are!
I haven't been on the computer at all for a few days. I went to a weekend crop and stayed away from the internet. I had a nice time and got a lot done too! Always a double bonus! The gal that puts this crop on has an internet scrapook store and brings tons of products we can purchase on sight. It is a great deal!!!
Clee, I too am a shower gal but your prouducts do look yummy! Good luck in this new venture!
I picked up my SU stuff up from Patti's. Just in time for my crop! I hope your night turned around and was better for you!
Chris, enjoy your extra day off tomorrow. Hopefully no union stuff comes up and takes the time away from you.I will work on a few RAKS too! Thanks for sharing your SS loot!
Mindy, love the idea of a cricut cartridge share list. Mine list too, is quite long, so I will work on putting that together for you. I have the Gypsy and unfortunately found out this weekend that it will ONLY work with your own Cricut. It has to be individually synced to each machine or it will not work. I didn't bring my Cricut to the crop because there are always 25 others there. Next time I will have to bring mine too!
I did buy Kate's ABCs for $15 from another cropper ( who bought doubles!!!) Can you imagine!!
Maggie, you are one busy family!!!!
Tracey, Glad that you are finding time for your precious Beau! We do need photos!
Amber, where in Ohio did you go on your little trip? There were a few gals from Pittsburgh area at this crop this weekend. I thought about you and wouldn't it be cool if we met up at a crop sometime??? The gal that puts this one on, does one in Columbiana Ohio....How far is that from you???? Actually the Pittsburgh girls said it cost them 100 bucks each for the weekend. The crop was $37 and they split a room at a close by hotel. This lady is having another crop in August here in Cleveland. Maybe we could all go to that!! There are a few gals not too far from Cleveland. Wouldn't that be a hoot!!!
Off to catch up on some laundrey and dirty floors......
I have an eye dr appt later too, so don't know when I'll get back on....
Have a good one!

PHEW>...dodged a big one today!! Thought for sure that I would need new brake rotors on my car!! Brakes were making a weird noise...so they took off all 4 tires and all is GOOD. Some rust build up apparently caused by the fact I only drive 15 miles a day....LOL
So...went to Michael's and used my GC from Christmas to get some goodies for the upcoming crop!!

Hi everyone!
Last night, I was sitting in my scrap room, looking at all my stuff and decided I needed to start purging the embies on my Clip It Up. I have two tiers, so started with the small top one. I decided to start using the stuff to make up cards!! *facepalm* so ended up making 4 'boy' cards with some stickers. I didn't get rid of a thing!! Just made more mess!
Denise!! I'm all over it! I've already told Geek the last room to be packed is my cave. I'm making ok progress. I have the garage to finish; the office; my bedroom (which is mainly drawers and hanging clothes and can go in the back of the station wagon) and my scrap room.
I have to find a couple of days to do this cooking service before the truck pulls up to move everything. Might try working on that the end of this week, then book the removalists for midweek next week. Gawd, you'd think I could pick a date?? Gotta work that out.
Alicia: Thinking of you today. Hugs and prayers, honey.
Chris: Glad it's just rust on your brakes. However do you only drive 15 miles a day??? You must live in a very small town! Your car would have a melt down if we told it to drive on our roads! I clock up a LOT of miles! (It's around 175km just to Sydney, a couple of hundred km to Canberra. 15km to my nearest shops. lol) I think I've nearly worn my car out!
*Yawn* I had a naughty doggie keeping me awake last night. And now he is asleep on the couch while I'm awake. He's lucky he's adorable.
OK girls, I hear coffee calling my name. Off to start my day. Enjoy yours and keep posting. It's good to see this thread hitting 4 pages by the weeks' end.

Tara - I will send it shortly.
I officially start my orientation tomorrow. I have to drive 71 miles one way but I am excited!!!! I went to HL and J's today and while we were at J's I got the call. I was so stressed over the waiting so when I hung up I fell apart. My sugar was hitting the floor as I hadn't eaten so we decided to go across the street to Olive Garden to celebrate. Had the all you can eat soup, salad and bread sticks. I am stuffed!
BBL - off to print directions and stuff for in the morning. Thanks for all the prayers - they worked.

Looks like I missed Ruby's birthday...Hope it was a great day!
My kids are off school this week for mid-winter break. DH took the week off work and even *I* get a vacation! DH packed up the kids and took them to a hotel for a couple of days. Wednesday is my youngest son's birthday so that will be our family day. And I'm headed to Utah to visit family for a few days on Thursday.
I probably won't be around the thread too much this week, but please know I'm thinking of you all. Take care everyone and have fun!

So excited that you have orientation in the morning. I remember the start of a new job (before I was a SAHM). It felt like the grown up first day of School *Grin*
I hope you meet wonderful coworkers and find out the company is better than you had hoped!!!

not sure if anyone else will garden this year but wanted to post a reminder to check to see when you should start your indoor seeds.
In NW Ohio we are supposed to start peppers and tomatoes inside this week. I think the kids and I will start them up tomorrow.
We are going to use the cardboard core for tp rolls and toilet paper rolls to plant our seeds in. Also planning on using a clear rubbermaid (or is it sterilite???) box as our indoor greenhouse.
This is our first garden! I am so excited.
Last year we grew 2 tomato plants in their own containers and then 2 basil plants and one oregano plant in their own containers. JJ and I had a lot of fun, so we are expanding this year.
Hope it turns out well!!!

Christi - your garden sounds cute. You must have a huge supply of TP rolls. Didn't you make a bunch of albums with them?

Hey ladies,
Hope everyone is doing well. My family and I just got home awhile ago from an out of town trip. We had lots of fun but it went by much too quickly. Glad to be home though. Just chillin and getting ready for tomorrow.
Ruby-hope your birthday was grand and had fun with your daughter and granddaughter!!!
Christine-Thank you so very much for the rak. You so did not have to do that girl!! I love everything! Thank you again!!!!
Denise-congrats on the job!!
Maggie-yaaay on using up your stash. It's so fun to shop for new stuff but my goal is to use up what I have already
Have a great nite! Back later to catch up.

CHRISTI::: Jan is our 'resident' RAK Gardener but I'm mad keen on it too.
I'll have to post pics our our vegie gardens. I still have to dismantle them but they have celery, chili peppers, rhubarb and mixed herbs still doing magical things!! Heartbreaking to pull them out and hope they survive the transplant. I have my smaller gardens erected but not filled with soil yet to move them into. I'll take before and after photos for you. I think you'll like the concept I use!
Good luck with your seed planting!
