good afternoon, ladies!

this week, we're organizing our punches...

here's the link to wookiemouse's blog.

question of the week: what are your favorite punches?

since the last round of this challenge, i've acquired quite a number of border punches.

happy organizing!

My current favourite punches are my circles/scalloped circles.

I don't own many because the size of them makes storage difficult but my most used are stored on my countertop in a wire cake stand. The rest live in a storage box on the bottom shelf of one of my bookcases.

Hmm .... I'm starting to really like border punches. BUT I really like my storage as it is now (shoe organizer behind the door). So if I want to buy more punches I HAVE to purge some as that organizer is FULL.

I also really like my oversized circle and square punches.

I have most of my punches in a 3 drawer Iris cart, and the ones I use most frequently, in a canvas bin stored on top of the cart.

I stopped buying punches a while ago, as I find them expensive and heavy/hard to store. The current border punch craze has just way too many cute ones. Last year I resolved to buy no more new punches without first trying to re-create the look using my Cricut, and that's working for me pretty well. That said, my punch stash fills a 6-drawer Iris cart. I just tell myself that's the limit!

My fave punches have to be my circles. I made embellies for a LO just this weekend using five nested circles. Those were definitely a good investment! I could have done it with my Cricut/Gypsy, but those punches were pretty easy to grab!

I only have 4 punches right now so I don't really need a storage solution yet! They're all in one drawer of my craft cart along with various other tools (crop-o-dile, scissors, etc). My favorite one right now is my new border punch! I never thought about border punches before I got into scrapping and now I want all of them!

I, too, decided when I got my Cricut that I would no longer buy punches. But some of the border punches are just so dang cute, and they are actually quicker for me than the cricut sometimes. I use the Michael's Recollectins storage system. 2 large flat drawers are full of punches. One is my old pre-C punches. The other is for corner and border punches. I love my cubes.

I don't have many punches. I've corner rounders, some basic shapes in different sizes, and one border punch I bought this summer... I like punches, but I'm always thinking "will I use this enough to justify the expense?" My favorite right now is the border punch.

They all fit in a card board box on my shelf, with room to spare

This week I've set up my system, inspired by Photo Freedom, to deal with all my photos. I've photo albums to temporarily store photos before scrapbooking them, boxes to thematically store "non-scrappable" photos and pouches to collect possible mini-album projects.

Any other still working on earlier weeks?

MY punches are in a transparent click-close plastic container on my bookshelf and has room to spare for more

I use my corner- rounders most often, but have a set of tiny travel icons (car, train, boat) which is my favourite - just don't use it much.

I finally did my stamp index last weekend and am happy with the result. I stamped like-themed stamps on A5 size pages and filed them with my sketches. Themes include space, travel, phrases, plants, etc. The best part of doing it is that now ALL my stamps have been used at least once!LOL.

Yeh Michelle, I too thought I would only buy a few and that would get me through! I have lost count of mine so I need these organized so I know what I have as I have made the mistake of buying doubles.

Currently, most of my punches are in 2 Iris boxes, the corner ones that are used the most are out on a small shelf right beside my table so they are handy. My favorite punches are my newest ones, MS alphas and numbers, I also tried some of her border punches at a friend's house and now I want them too

Update -
Yesterday I was watching many of the Glitter girl episodes. Out of the blue I got the shopping-itch. Just on a whim I set out to fill my cart. Let's just say 2ps warehouse elves will have their work cut out for them...

Some of the items were new punches. I just hope I'll fit them into the designated box!

You know what Hilde?? I'm beginning to think there's something in those Glitter Girl videos as I did the same thing LAST week!! WTH!??! Although I didn't buy punches, but spent uite a bit on a lot of the embelishments and pretty papers she uses.

Good luck fitting those punches in the box!!

... and those (embellishments and papers), plus some spray ink/paints, were the rest of the items. Her layouts really inspire me to get scrapbooking. Or at least shopping

I have mostly border punches and shape punches. It's too bad most of the pictures of punch storage are set up for punches with pull down handles. I don't have any like that. I just store mine in flat boxes from Ikea.
