this week, we're organizing our tools.

here's the link to wookiemouse's blog.

question of the week: what are your three must have tools - the ones that are always close by?

happy organizing!

My three favorite tools are a 12x12 Tonic trimmer, an old MM tool set (counts as one tool, right?), and a metal ruler. Pretty basic, in other words.

I have a divided planter with scissors, rulers, and adhesives on top of the Expedit. And a drawer of often used tools installed into the Expedit. Other tools I have stored away from my desk.

This week I'll go through all my tools and see if there is anything I can gert rid of.

I've been messing with what goes where since I moved into new room in early December...maybe this is the week I commit and just settle down and work, huh?

Three fave tools: Tonic 12" guillotine cutter, Tonic Tim Holtz scissors, Tim Holtz ruler. I did not know how much I loved that ruler until I suffered major vision loss recently. It's the only ruler in my possession that has bold enough markings I can see it!

I just got home today from a week's vacation! It was warm and sunny in LasVegas. Got a chance to visit 2 nice LSS too

My favorite tools are: cutter, TH paper piercer, and a pair of TH scissors.

Most frequently used tools are in a container on my desk. I put a shelf under my table to hold my cutter so it's out of the way but easy to get to. I have a box on the shelf for other tools I don't use too often (brayer, glue gun, etc).

This week I only have to decide what to do with my less-often-used tools. This includes a Dymo labeller, a MM Tag maker - all those 'had to have' tools that don't get used so much now

My most-used tools are in a caddy on my desk and an old chocolate tin. My MM tool set, small scissors, acrylic bloks and craft knife live in the tin (it's a large, flat rectangle) and I just pop the lid on when going to a crop. I did put a few smaller containers inside the tin as compartments, so I don't have to scratch around so much.

QOTW: metal ruler with cm and inches
Cuttlebee scissors, Heidi Swapp craft knife.

If a computer counts as a tool, well, then my laptop

I just had to rescue this thread from the bottom of page 5!

Can anyone link up a picture of what their desk looks like?? I'm re-arranging (surprise, surprise!!) and I'm having issues fitting everything I want to fit ON the desk.

Michelle - bottom of page 5!??! YIKES! We're slipping girls. Maybe this weekend will bring some chattiness out??

Anyone planning on scrapping this weekend??

Bumping this one as well. Realized I almost missed this week
When I saw week 19 up, I thought "Huh, what happened to week 18?" I was just posting on week 17, and now it's 19?

I said I would go though my tools, but I haven't yet. Guess I get to do it now.

This weekend I scanned some old photos after my grandma. I'm sharing them with family via Flickr as I go thought them. When I'm done I want to give each of my grandma's kids their own CDs/thumbdrive with her photos on.

I also put photos from half 2009 into a storage album where they'll live while I decide if I want to do layouts with them. Next, I'll have to figure out whether I have photos from the second part of the year.. Needless to say, photographing hasn't been a priority for some time.
