I've been noticing infomercials from Keurig about some new version. Well, they are coming out with a whole new system which will require different Vue Cups rather than K Cups....this is almost disgusting since many of us have at least one Keurig that cost over $100. The K Cups take up a lot of room both at home and on the store shelves...I can't imagine stores letting Keurig have the space for two types of cups. I had heard that Starbucks was coming out with their own Keurig version so I bet this is the same technology. The Vue cups are supposedly good for the environment as they are plastic and can be recycled. You'll be able to make an 18 oz cup of coffee. With over 200 flavors of K Cups, are we also going to get 200 varieties of Vue Cups?

So are the cups not interchangeable? If not, that s*cks. They should be. Or they should start making the K-cups recyclable as well.

I don't WANT an 18 oz. cup of coffee - I have my perfect cup of coffee now with my Keurig, why would I want to change. Ugh.

I saw that infomercial the other day, and they made a point of mentioning that they will still be making the K cups, that the Vue is just another system they're adding.

And considering the amount of money stores making on stocking both the machines and the K cups? I doubt they're going to whine about stocking another line of a big money maker for them.

I heard someone talking about this the other day. She said BB&B had a huge display dedicated to it. The k cups will still be available. The Vue gets about 20 degrees hotter and the cups are recyclable. You take the bag of grounds out of the cup and throw it away (or compost I suppose) and then recycle the plastic cup.

It seems to me like they could make a reusable cup that you can place the bags in. Do they have anything like that? Why just have recyclable when you could have reusable? (I have never used a Keurig.)

No...the Vue Cups and the K Cups won't work on the two different machines. I don't think the Vue is out yet so I'd be surprised if the Vue Cups are available any place. I would expect that QVC will get the big launch once it's available besides the infomercial.

The Keurig site seems to have the brewer and new packets available. Starbucks is available in the regular KCups.

I can see a use for a machine of this type.

I heard an advertisement that Starbucks has come out with their own machine which is suppose to be different than the regular Keurigs. Yes, the Starbucks K Cups have been available for about a year now.

I have the vue (it came out Feb 18, I believe) and it's "ok" - Touch screen is awesome, but the coffee variety is lacking.

I'm hoping that since it's their new "flagship" they will be focusing more time/money/energy on it and less on the 'old' machines.

Right now, I'm loving the lattes and teas! but DH wants Dunkin Donuts and I'm sure he won't have to wait too long.

I saw the Vue for sale at Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day. The machine costs $250.00 and the cups are slightly more expensive. The machine is very nice and high tech looking. Not as much plastic on these machines.

If I didn't already have a Keurig, I would probably buy this new version. I have the special edition one that came out at Christmas for $149.00 and I am more than happy with it. The extra features don't warrant the $100.00 price increase to me.

I just applied to the Keurig Vue House Party in hopes of getting a free machine. The k-cups have always been too weak for me, and costly, so I just refill a reusable filter(My K Cup)with my own coffee everyday. I found a kid at a garage sale that sells me Starbuck's Komodo Dragon bags for $3. I heard Keurig is losing their K-cup patent so they're coming out with these new cups. Wonder if a My K Cup reusable filter will be available on this newer version, hmmmmm?

The new Vue promises adjustable temperature settings that makes stronger and hotter cups of frothy coffee including iced tea and coffee.

I'm hoping the 'surprise' in the Vue House Party package is the actual new machine instead of the $50 payment per month offer. Benefit cosmetics just sent me a $600+ House Party package to promote so I'm hoping Keurig can do $250 +! That would be sweet!

if they do a refillable cup, I'm in. I had a Tassimo and loved it! But then I like my fancy schmancy drinks and DH likes his strong black coffee so it works for us.

This is exactly why I love my little french press.
Manual, easy, not dependent on any little cartridge or worried about how the water isn't cold enough. Love that thing.

OT - Angela/Totem: please contact me when you can.

Seen the Vue at BBB as well, great visual appeal however my Keurig from December 2009 still going strong so would be hard to upgrade. Although that didn't stop me from upgrading my basic little old Nook 9 months later to tablet. If I could use my BBB coupons then possibly!

I was able to use the Safeway SELECT Coffee Pods in my Vue. I saved one of the outer plastic cups from the Vue, inserted the Safeway Coffee Pod and it worked! The Safeway Pod has a filter bottom just like the Vue Pods that are enclosed in the recyclable plastic cup.

I was worried about using up my previously purchased K-cups because I had been warned they are not compatible with the Vue. But, by carefully cutting off the bottom of the plastic K-cup I was able to use those in my new Vue too. If you only cut the very bottom off, you can put them in a Vue Travel Mug size plastic outer cup. If you cut off most of the bottom of the K-cup, you can use the Vue regular plastic outer cup. This is not an ideal solution and is only good to use up existing K-cup purchases, but the good news is it works fine.

I will keep looking for someone to manufacture a Refillable Vue Cup.

My ILs have a Tassimo, but it seems the Keurig has more coffee
choices ... correct?

I do wonder about any long-term health effect of the heating of the plastic
cups. Does anyone have any info on that?
