Hey girls I'm feeling guilty. The phone rang last night around 11:20 p.m. I had already gone to bed and didn't answer it. Turns out it was from the County Jail, booking my previous housemate (the guy that lived here for 5 years) on DUI/illegal drug counts. I think I was his one call, although the message was from a worker (woman) wanting information verifying him in some way. I forgot all about the call until after 5 today, when I checked my messages. Tried to call but of course no one answered. He had a court day today according to the message. If this is a new violation, it'll be his 3rd DUI and he will have thrown away all his hard work to stay out of trouble (going to AA meetings, meeting with probation officer, staying off alcohol and not getting into legal trouble--he only had a year left on unsupervised probation to be cleared) to get those charges kept off his permanent record. So I guess he DOES have an issue with alcohol although he never drank a drop when he was living with me. Makes me sad. And I'm feeling guilty for not answering the phone, but I didn't know. And ultimately, I'm not responsible for him; I'm not his family. But I still feel badly.
I hate seeing young people throwing away their lives, but he's old enough to know better, (30 years) and he's been down this path before.
Just sad.

Is there any legitimate reason for a company offering a service (ie internet service) to ask for your SS#? I had a door-to-door sales rep try to get me to switch providers but when he started to ask for birthdates and SS#'s I got nervous and sent him on his way after taking any written info he had written down from him to shred. Am I being to cautious? I just don't see the need to give out that to anyone.

I've been feeling under the weather all day...achy, tired and coughing a bit. Hope it's just allergies but it hasn't made me feel very motivated to do anything. Even now I'm wasting time. If only I could be paid for that skill...I'd be rich! LOL

Kids didn't want me to make dinner...so Noah had Red Curry Noodles and Owen had cereal, but I haven't eaten yet. I'm hungry but nothing sounds good. Maybe I'll make some eggs with spinach...protein and veggies might be good.

Not much else happening here. What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Mornin!
Just left Linda at the Hospital for her eye surgery and I'm BACK AT HER HOUSE! Gonna crash on her comfy bed for a bit until they call to tell me to come get her. Had my root canal done and so hopefully all through with dental things for awhile.

Mandy really great to see you!

Diana Tiff and the girls are doing okay. They are all moved into the new place and getting settled. Tiffanie is due Sept 30th on my brothers birthday!

Theresa...bet your pooped and sorry to hear about that dreaded C work. Will be keeping A Joyce and U charlie in my prayers.

Really pooped so going to catch a few! Have a GREAT DAY!

Wanda- you are a dear friend. Prayers for LInda and her surgery that all goes well and she recovers quickly. You must be so sick of the dentist!

Tonya- always good to see ya!

Debi- no way no how would i be giving birthdates and SSN to someone at my door.
And you can't be responsible for the old roommate- everyone's got to grow up.

Theresa-I hated having covering docs in the office. They all have their own way of doing things and all think theirs is the only right way. Hope you survive!

Mandy- good to see you! Enjoy your quiet time!

Easter is just going to be us. After church we are participating in the town egg hunt, hiding eggs with the church. Then will have an Easter dinner.

Debi, bummer your old roommate got himself in trouble but he did it to himself and you certainly don't have the cash to bail him out and don't need someone that is getting drunk and in trouble around your kids. As for the question about the door to door guy needing your SS number, nope he was trying to scam you. Good job kicking him out.

Linda, hope you're seeing this perfectly!

Wanda, thanks for taking Linda and watching out for her.

Tammy, not doing big Easter stuff here either. Randy's working. Jeremy and Kate are staying in Lexington so it'll just be me, Joyce and Charlie.

Only working 1/2 day tomorrow and don't care if I'm done or not. I'm pooped so I'm leaving!

Off to watch TV. Have a great night all.

Happy Friday! I love 4 day weeks- wish I could work them all the time.

Debi, what Theresa said - about your ex-roomie and the scammer. No one needs your SS# for anything EVER unless it is some sort of government reason (applying for SS), employment, security clearance or loan/credit card app. May be a few others. And anyone from any of those who are soliciting your number are probably scammers.

Linda, hope you are doing well!

Wanda, thanks for taking care of our Linda! And hope you are doing well too.

Time for work. Have a great day!

Hi, Tonya! Sounds like you have lots of reasons not to scrap. I enjoy playing with you too. And that last game sure was exciting!

Theresa, mt prayers are with Randy's SIL. Sounds like you are having a hectic transition at work. Hope the new doc calms down.

Diana, congrats to Stan and bless him for his hard work. And that is awesome that so much goes to the community.

hey girls -

I'm still here; I try to read a little at school when I can. I worked another extra night this week, and now my sinuses are acting up again...thank goodness I've got the day off today FROM BOTH JOBS! So right now I'm lounging in my p.j.s...gonna get some cleaning done and hopefully try to get another page done, we'll see.

Here is the page I did for the sketch challenge:

family ties

and here is what I did for the bookmarks challenge; it's a lift of GG AmyHeller:

fun,fun, fun

my pages are not coming out too good because my Dear DH used my computer one day when his crashed and he changed things up and now I can't get back into my program that I use to sharpen and brighten my LOs...needless to say he is on my Sh** list. He's going to have to uninstall and reinstall the program...

Also, my gf at school is letting me borrow her "old" kindle so I can read the first two Hunger Game novels. So, if this sinus headache goes away, and my eye stops watering, I'm going to start reading too! So happy!

Hope all is well with everyone...

TONI what program DO YOU use to sharpen and brighten your LOs? Just curious. Sharpening is one thing I haven't quite mastered.

Friday is here, and I have a busy day scheduled and company this afternoon. I'll have 4 13 year olds and a 9 year old boy, 2 of the boys' aunt, and myself for the evening. So I'm trying to straighten out the house a bit, finish laundry, run to the music store to see if they can fix a key on my son's saxophone, go to the grocery, blah blah blah. At least so far today i feel ok. A bit stuffed up, but maybe my allergy meds will help with that.

Not much else happening and seems everyone is busy. WANDA hope you have no residual pain from your root canal and LINDA can you see me now?

I'll drop back in later.

Hey girls! It's been some kind of week and I'm still working today, but it's not too bad. Remember my boss last year that was so sick? He got better and retired back in August. He had a heart attack and died on Monday. I've been heartbroken. He was a wonderful person and a great mentor to me. He will truly been missed. With that and work being so crazy busy I just haven't felt like being on the boards much this week.

The kids and I are going to my parents' for the weekend. William is having trouble with one of his legs going numb (nothing serious just some inflammation around the nerve) and he's not supposed to be in the car more than he has to so he's staying home. Got an egg hunt tomorrow and then lunch at Mom and Dad's after church on Sunday. Both kids had their parties at school this week (thankfully on different days) and had a ball.

Linda - hope you're feeling better!

Wanda - Hope you're feeling better too after that root canal. I think I would be down for days after having one and you act like it's just no big deal. You're a strong woman!

Tonya - Good to see you! The kids are growing up way too fast!

I'd better get back to work.

Have a great Easter weekend everybody!

Jennifer, I'm so sorry about your friend.

Nylene, hope you have fun.

Toni, hurray for a night off!!!!

Monica, hang on, you can make it!

Just took an hour nap, shouldn't have. Now I'm dragging. I did leave work early, not as early as I should have, but early. Didn't get over time though, I clocked out and am going to have Bill add the time on next week on a day I have a training that will be over a couple of hours before my shift should be and I'll just go home instead of coming back to the office. Will still get my hours, won't get Bill in trouble for having over time and Uncle Sam won't get the extra cash. I learned a long time ago that working overtime at this job literally does not pay! Taxes get it all.

It's cold today and supposed to frost tonight. Haven't heard from everyone that normally comes to the crop but it sounds like I might be the only one there. Will really be annoyed if I drag my stuff across town and no one else comes. I sent emails, texts and even posted it on FB but still haven't heard from a few. Of course, if they're on vacation (local schools have Spring Break this week) they may not get my email or FB messages. Texts they should though. Beside that they could have let me know they weren't going to come. Whine, whine, whine. Guess I'll pack really light!

Had one person show up last night to scrap and then another came later just to chat. We still had fun. Almost finished a mini travel album kit I bought MONTHS ago at Archivers.

Here's the recipe for the Resurrection Cookies if anyone is interested in doing this with their kids before they go to bed tonight. (Helps explain the empty tomb.)

Resurrection Cookies

HAVE to clean this house today. Randy has actually gotten good about picking up after himself and has been helping all week. Figure if I can get the whole place clean I have a much better shot at keeping it that way while he's willing to help. A simple matter of retraining both of us to pick up our stuff.

Going to make a Southern Pecan Praline Cake for Easter too so the house is going to smell marvelous!

Good morning! I am meeting with a group of tutors at my favorite breakfast restaurant at 10. Then I got an email from Archiver's that ALL paper is 50% off. I need more paper.

Theresa, glad you had company and got so much done!

Wanda, wow, you have a busy month! Are you and Tiff going baby shopping?

Jennifer, I'm so sorry about your ex-boss. I'm glad you have such wonderful memories of him to keep with you. My prayers are with the family.

Got to run. Have a great day!

Just heard from Randy's niece. Her Mom, Randy's sister in law, Kay Lynn, does have cancer but it's not lymphoma so that is good. She's probably going to have to look at getting additional surgery and chemo after she recovers from the bowel obstruction surgery. Randy's brother is like all the Creager men, they internalize and keep things bottled up. The niece is actually more worried about him than her Mom. Keep them all in your prayers. We're going over to Madisonville to the hospital after Randy gets off work. Went to a friend's greenhouse and bought her a gorgeous mandevilla to cheer her up if possible. After getting it home am wishing I'd got me one too. Well off to get the cake in the oven.

Hello, anyone out there?????

Didn't take the doctor card to Kay Lynn, took one I made with my little nurse stamp (the one that looks like the Campbells Kids). She loved it. She looks pretty good, Randy said much better than she did earlier in the week.

Caught up on all the praise. Headed to bed. Did way too much today!

Happy Easter! It is a beautiful day full of sunlight and chirping birds here in Missouri! I did some major damage at Archiver's with their half off paper sale. Although it was a good damage. I bought mostly cardstock in colors I use a lot - especially black and white. Most all the patterned paper I bought was more neutral designs. I also got 3 more 6 x 6 pads. They are so addicting and since they were half off...

Diana, that's a big sleep! You must have needed it.

Theresa, I am so sorry about Kay Lynne. I am praying for her surgery and treatment to go well and a complete recovery. Tell Randy to hang in there. Hugs for him.

I need to get the kitchen cleaned up, get out my summer clothes and do some laundry. I hope to be able to scrap a bit today. Have a great day all!

Happy Easter! Almost had to make a midnight Walgreens run, Gary and I couldn't remember where the bunny had stashed the candy. LOL. LUckily we found it just when I was ready to five up. Church is having two services today, so we get to go in a little later. and then joining them for the city easter egg hunt. It's supposed to be gorgeous today, so going to enjoy it.

Theresa- prayers for Kay Lynn. Hard when men keep things inside to know what's going on.

Jan- sounds like you did well at Archivers!

Monica B- one more week- you can do it!!! Then we need to schedule a long overdue scrap day!

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Easter Hope everyone has a lovely day.

I am so happy to have today off I can't even begin to tell you; I slept in, and now I'm about to go get some much needed stuff done. We even will be able to get to have dinner together tonight, a first in quite a while...even though Megs is working five hours today. I feel for people who have to work on a holiday. It's just sad.

Jenn - I am so sorry about your boss. That's really sad, and he sounded like he was such a great guy. Prayers for his family.

Tonya - so good to see you. Love your baby's name too. You need to stop by more often.

Debi - I am sorry about your former roommate. Sounds like he really needs some help though.

Theresa - I am so sorry to hear about your SIL. Sending up many, many prayers for her. That is just so sad.

Mandy - you need to stop by more often, but always glad to see you when you do.

Linda - thinking about you and hoping everything is going ok.

Wanda - you're the bestest

Tina - I imagine you all had a lot of fun finding some eggs on those 5 acres, LOL. I bet they were hidden so well, people forgot where they hid them. I hope Griff and Mall had a great time there with their grandparents.

I know I've missed lots, but I am here on and off, and try to read as much as I can.

I came home from J's yesterday and watched To Kill A MockingBird...it's been a long time since I saw that movie and now I understand why so many people named their daughters Scout. A wonderful movie, for sure.

Well, I guess I better get going so I can get something done

Have a wonderfully blessed day, girls.
Love you all.

oh, Debi, sorry I forgot to answer your question.

I use ArcSoft MediaImpression...you can sharpen, contrast, brighten, and just about anything else with it. I'm really hoping Larry has finally fixed it, 'cus it was really messed up, and I was so not happy with him.

I'm about to go try it out right now, LOL.

Sorry for the flood, but all I've had to do is scrap since I got no invites for dinner anywhere. Yes, feeling a little sorry for myself. I'm here all alone with no family whatsoever, and it sucks. Oh well, what's a mother to do?

Good morning! It sure was hard getting up this morning. I had a really productive day yesterday and was bone tired last night. I didn't get any scrapping done though. When I got in my scraproom I decided I needed to reorganize my patterned paper. It was a messy, involved project but I made it through.

Linda, I wish we lived closer. My family just decided to skip the Easter dinner.

Toni, hope you had a great day off. I want to watch To Kill a Mockingbird again. It's been years. And it is the 50th anniversary of it's release.

Tammy, laughing about the candy. I hide and lose things too.

I need to get going. Have a great day!

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

I haven't been on in a few days...O's visit to Denison went okay, she ultimately decided that she doesn't want to go there, so we are getting closer to her making a decision. She has to turn in her decision by May 1st to keep her academic scholarships, so we are doing another visit to DePauw and Asbury sometime this month and then she has to decide. She's busy working on a paper about C.S. Lewis to submit for a $2000 scholarship, it would be great if she gets that, but I'm sure it will be competitive.

The kids did have big fun hunting up all of those eggs at my Mom & Dad's farm. Olivia & Mal just help the little kids, but Grif and all of my cousin's kiddos had a blast & the weather was beautiful. My Grandpa even got to be there, he is really deteriorating quickly, so I was glad that he got to be there.

I know I'm wayyy late on this, but I've been power reading the Hunger Games series. I saw the movie with the kids last week and was hooked, so I read the first 2 books this weekend. I'd like to knock the other one out tonight...but dh gets annoyed with my tuning out the world to power read like that, so I may have to wait a minute.

Well, I have to take the girls to school today, so I need to run. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Tina

Tammy, LOL over the candy. I found stocking stuffer presents in March one time. Added them to Easter baskets, LOL.

Linda, I was pretty much alone for Easter too. Randy scheduled himself to work so I had to do church along when everyone else had all their family around them. I did go to Joyce/Charlie's for lunch but after I cleaned up the kitchen I left so she could lay down. I came home and napped the day away. Jeremy and Kate stayed in Lexington. He was off work for the weekend but instead of coming in went to a birthday party for his old roommate.

Have to get off here and get out the door soon. The new tech starts today, wouldn't be a good example to go in late. I'll save that for later, LOL.

Have a great Monday all!

morning,
I hope everyone had a nice Easter. Mine was not so great... Friday started with a tickle in my throat and by that night it felt like it was on fire. I went to the walk-in clinic @ Walgreens on Saturday and they confirmed I have strep throat soo my weekend was miserable, not to mention I didn't get a thing done (and I really need to get homework done & stuff ready for my hotel crop that starts Thursday). We didn't do a thing for Easter. oh, and my mom has scabies (YUCK!!) and it is likely I could get it, so I have to do all the treatments this week

Sorry to be a downer today... I just wish this didn't all have to happen this week!! I had to be up with the birds this morning because the hours are extended at Block this week, so had to be here at 7:45 this morning not enough sleep + strep throat = exhausted.

Anyway! The good news is I have my hotel crop to look forward to AND I ordered myself a new camera this morning It's not a DSLR, but way fancier than my point & shoot, and much more features/improvements. YAY! oh, and I got my hair cut & highlighted this weekend (even being sick) and it feels great to have a new spring look. My cousin's wedding is tonight (yeah, weird being on a Monday night), so I wanted to look decent even if I don't feel so hot!

morning girls -

Tina - I'm with you on the Hunger Games. I started it yesterday and hated that I had to stop and make dinner, etc. But I'm almost done, and then on to the next one...LOL. Then I can see the movie. I really have a problem seeing a movie before reading the book; it's one of those idiosyncrycies...once I see the movie, I don't care to read the book. The Easter egg hunt sounds delightful! I hope you got some great pics

Linda - I'm sorry about the no dinner invites...consider yourself welcome here anytime although we really downplayed it this year.
Just a chicken...no ham...and just some vegges. Luckily Kevin and Megs were able to eat with us - a once a month treat it seems like anymore.
But I really understand what you mean. My brothers used to come for Easter all the time, and we always had a house full, so it's all kind of weird anymore...no mom, no Steven, and no brothers and their families...it's just sad. Quite frankly, holidays are just really blah anymore. The kids were sweet though and let me take pics of them and their Easter "bags"

Monica B - I am so sorry about your being sick this past weekend with so much to do on your plate. I hope you get to feeling better really soon...have a really fun time at your crop this coming weekend, and can't wait to see a new pic of your hair

Tammy - Can't tell you how many times I've done that. This past Christmas I found a homemade necklace I had bought for Meagan a couple of years ago I also found some old Valentine 'goodies' this past year, LOL. I also found some old teacher gifts I had gotten quite a while ago...needless to say the teachers that they were purchased for are no longer even at our school, LOL. So, you see, you're not the only one to do that this is one reason why I don't do a lot of shopping before an event anymore.

Well, it's been nice chatting, and it's been nice having some time off.
We have less than two months of school left, so I'll be able to chat more as time goes on. Especially once our testing is over, which is really, really late this year. Although I will increase my hours at J's over the summer. Our new store manager has been making his presence, and he seems nice...I hope whatever changes he makes will be for the good. We have lost a few employees as of late too.

Anyway, I'm off.
I did do a page for Wanda's DW challenge, so I'll post it tomorrow or something.
Love you all.

weather is beautiful...mid 60's today, yesterday we hit 70...just hung out with mom -- no dinner or anything special. Hid baskets for the boys which they hunted for when they got home from their dad's. They didn't visit the relatives for Easter either, which surprised me.

Rain coming back tomorrow so hope to enjoy the sun today. Not doing any scrapping.

Coincidence or not? My internet connection keeps going out (haven't had any trouble with it for months) but after I turned that door-to-door salesman down for the competitor, I've had nothing but trouble with it. Wierd, huh?

Ok I've got to run to an appointment. sounds like Easter was pretty calm for everyone.

Hi all! It seems like its been so long. I've missed you guys.

Julia's party went really well. And the next day we left for my mom's for the rest of the week. I was feeling so under the weather! Achy, feverish, exhausted. So the girls and I just spent the days playing on the floor at my mom's. I finally started feeling better on Saturday and managed to pull off a successful Easter. Now we're home and I am sooooooo glad to be back at home!!

DEBI -- congratulations to your boys on the science fair! that is SO wonderful for them!! And look, all that mom-work paid off. Good for you!!! And don't ever by shy about bragging on your boys! I, for one, love to hear it.

TAMMY -- how's your Granny? I hope she's well. And I hope we get to see more of you this month.

***oh! baby crying*** gotta go. back later!!

My brother came by and fixed my lawn tractor today so I was able to mow the yard when I got home. The belt that my neighbor and Randy put on last week was too big and it caused a problem with the drive train. Randy still needs to weed eat, three weeks worth now. Lucky for him, I have most of the yard landscaped to avoid too much of it. Have news for the man though, there will be no golf this week until it's done!

New girl started at work today, thinking she's going to work out well. The previous tech (Kayla) started trying to do her new job today while training the new girl (Tiffany) to do her old one. Was a little hectic but my manager decided that Kayla had to do it that way so that I could get caught up and allow her to have a slower day to start out. Was able to get a lot done I wouldn't have been able to do even in all the craziness. Once everyone gets with the program it just might work! Tomorrow will be too wild for her to do both though. I'll have to do a lot more in the room stuff. Dr McBride is going out of town tomorrow night so the rest of the week will be just dealing with the new doc. Hoping I get caught up.

My friend Nancy goes tomorrow to find out what kind of chemo she has to have tomorrow. She's a little nervous so keep her in your prayers.

I'm back...

MICHELLE -- thinking of you.

LINDA -- I thought about you all last week. How's the eye? How are you feeling?

THERESA -- Congrats on that Kentucky win! I didn't watch but thought how you must loved that!! I'm sorry to hear about your SIL. I hope she recovers from the surgery and is up for the fight. Prayers for her & your family.

MANDY -- I *love* Psych! Dule Hill is the reason I started watching (I was a huge West Wing fan) and now I love both of those actors!! I know what you mean about a night alone. My husband spends one night a week at friends so he doesn't have to do his long commute at ungodly hour and its such a nice night for me. No cooking, no worrying about anyone. Just get the girls down and I can scrap! (Not this week, though, sadly.)

DEBI -- I'm a little late but YES you did the right thing sending that salesman packing! AND you were so smart to take what he had written down! That was CLEARLY a scam. Trust your gut!! You did the right thing.

JENNIFER -- sorry to hear about your friend. {{*hugs*}}

LINDA -- one of your links (Easter nails) is wonky.

So much more I wanted to say but DH is waiting for me to get caught up on Grey's Anatomy (Tivo missed it so we need the lap top to watch).

It sounds like Easter was 'off' for a lot of us this year. We really down played it at my Mom's too. But Julia loved it, and CJ had her first taste of candy (tiny, but still a taste. what a terrible mom I am!!)

Happy Tuesday! My student cancelled again last night so did some more organizing in my scraproom.

Barbara, got to get that sweet tooth going early!

Theresa, bet no golf gets Randy going. Your new job sounds hectic but you seem like you are taking it in stride.

Linda, how is the eye doing? What is the date of your knee surgery? You will be able to run a marathon and see while you are doing it!

Debi, coincidence.

Monica B, which camera did you get. I was ecstatic when I got my first "fancy" point and shoot.

Tina, sounds like Olivia is doing well in choosing a college. What a smart girl - just like her Mom!

Got to go. Have a great day!

Good Morning Pea Friends!!!

Life here is going swell. We got the big contract proposal done last week, so I can breathe for a minute at work. I have another one that's due in 3 weeks, but it won't be anywhere near the 200 pages that we submitted last week, so it will be much easier.

Jan - Thanks for the sweet words about Olivia. We've been really proud of her for using what we think is great judgement about choosing a school. We got awesome news from one of them yesterday, she got an extra grant for $2500 per year for all 4 years at Asbury (which is the school that Ron really prefers). I'll be glad at the end of this month when this process is over.

Toni - The Hunger Games series is addictive. I had parent meetings for Mallory to start show choir (yay...she made it!) last night, so I didn't get to read the third book, but I'm looking forward to it.

Anywho, I need to get lunch made for my little dude and get to the office.

Have a great day ladies!

Quiet up here. You must all be playing DRAWSOMETHING!!!

I just *knew* I was gonna sucked into this one! I'm walking around the house with my phone in my hand waiting for people to play!

I have two small children, I really should NOT be doing this!! LOL

Look for me, ladies. I'm not good, so I apologize in advance. But I'm addicted!!

Barbara, I love Draw Something! Already sent back your game. I try to check in at lunch but usually can just play at night.

Did have a much more productive day, Kayla did really good today. Of course Doc is much more laid back and willing to do more himself so it was less stressful for her. We'll see how the rest of the week goes. Doc is going on a vacation so he won't be back in the office til Tuesday.

Off to eat dinner, just wanted to say hi!

Good Morning I guess!
Been having a horrible time with sleep lately.
Sounds like everyone had a nice Easter. I sure did and was so thrilled to attend Church with Kevin, Tiff and the girls and his parents. They go to Life Center and whoa what a wonderful rocking service it was and yet brought me to tears! Wish I lived in Spokane so I could attend there every Sunday! Tiff got some Maternity Clothes and I bought a few baby things. She is so tired, having 8 clients a day gets exhausting.

Theresa sorry to here about Randy's sil. I do hope things go well for her and will be keeping you all in my prayers!

Monica hope you have a great time!

Gonna go try and get some rest maybe. Here is a link to all my Easter photos if you want to see...I won't be scrapping them as Tiff will but wanted to share her new home, the wildlife which you must click on the goose on the cliff it's so pretty and of course all the family! There are alot so understand if you don't.

Here is the link Easter Photos

Hope you all have a grand day!!!

Wanda - I love the photos! Tiff is so pretty, love the picture of the two of you together. She has your pretty smile. Her home is gorgeous and I love the view of the mountains. What city does she live in?

I can't chat much now, just wanted to comment on Wanda's pretty photos.

I'll be back later to get a game started up...so all of you check back later for something fun!

good morning!
I am sooo happy because I got somebody else to take my shift at work today. So I will be spending the day packing up and getting ready for my hotel crop! Problem is I don't even know where to begin... I have WAY too much stuff

Feeling a teeny bit better. It sure is taking its time going through the motions though. I sure hope I feel more like normal tomorrow!

Hope you all have a great day!

oh, Jan - the camera I got is a Canon Powershot SX260, this one. I researched P&S cameras a while ago, and it seemed like very few had perfect reviews. So I finally narrowed it down to what I find most important in a camera - this one is supposed to take good low-light photos, and it has fun features like fish eye lens. It's hard to finally pick a camera because I feel like a lot of the reviews are VERY picky, probably professional photographers, and focus on things that I don't necessarily care about in a camera (like video). Anyway, it is supposed to be here today so I am excited to try it out!

Wanda those photos are awesome! What do you mean you're not going to scrap them because Tiff is? Girl, you scrap away. Keep them for yourself and let her scrap her own. That's what I do with Trish and Michelle. Give them copies of the photos and let them go.

WANDA wow that was a lot of photos. Love the easter dresses on the girls. They had quite the terrain to hunt easter eggs in. My favorite photo is the goose sitting on the edge with the misty view of the landscape behind it. And I agree, you can scrap photos and have Tiff scrap photos too...there is no restriction on double duty scrapping.

Not much going on here. Kids got invited to a birthday party Friday. Of course, the one ds game the kid wants is not available in any of the local stores. I was hoping to be able to use my giftcards. Amazon has it but I can't get it soon enough and it's more than I wanted to spend out of my own pocket KWIM? I'm surprised he wants this game...it's designed for 6-8 year olds (he's turning 13) and the boys no longer use theirs. Oh well, I may have to come up with another idea.

I'm panicking as I still need to do my taxes and some other paperwork with deadlines. I just can't seem to force myself to do it.

I did scrap a page today. I'm kind of still in a slump so mostly lurking and not participating much, but you are all in my thoughts and I'm thrilled to check in and see what you are all up to.

Happy Thursday all!

I posted this on Facebook last night but wanted to share it here too. It's a video about a very creative 9 year old.

Caine's Arcade

Takes about 10 minutes to watch but I'm not kidding when I say you'll be happy you did. Stay through the goofy song too because his comments at the end of the segment are worth it.

Have a half day in the office and then have to go to a seminar to learn how to abuse kids. LOL, it's a Pediatric Abuse Seminar. I'm sure it's supposed to teach how to recognize signs of abuse. It's over at 3 and I'm headed home but will get paid for the rest of the day because I stayed late off the clock last week.

Page 3? Really? Where is everyone?

Ok I volunteered today. Seems I'm the only volunteer they've trained to work with laptop rebuilds yet today, I was told that because of the class they offered (then recanted on) and now are offering it to an outside group, will be training in the facility on 2 out of 3 days I usually volunteer and there won't be room for volunteers on those days anymore. Geesh, do you think they want to discourage volunteers from coming? I can still come in on Thursdays but I'm not available on Saturdays and Fridays are iffy as I can't do very many hours. Oh well. I asked when the class would be available to the volunteers and was told not til the fall. That's a long ways off.

I did this layout for a mess or masterpiece challenge where you are given random folders/items to gather then you have to make a layout from them. It was an odd collection but it came out ok, I think.
