How could I find a list of previous Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame winners from years past? I would love to find out if one of my old favorites is still scrapbooking, and maybe see some of her layouts. The problem is, I don't remember her name. I think she would have won around the time the Hall of Fame first began, maybe during the years of 2000-2003 or so. I think her name might have been Jennifer, but not Jennifer Maguire. She had at least two little girls, both blonde, and I loved her clean, whimsical style, and her darling handwriting. Anyone have any memory of her, or know where I could view a list of past winners so that maybe my own memory will be jarred? I wish I had all my old issues of CK so I could look her up, but they're long since gone. Thanks!

I can help you out with that: Angelia Wiggington. But pronounced Angela - the "i" is silent. She has two blond ADORABLE daughters and a very clean, whimisical style.

Since I still have my HOF books out from replying to a previous thread, I took a look through them.

Angelia Wiggington won in 2006.

The Jennifers that I found 2001-2003 (2000 is the only year I don't have) were...

2002
Jennifer Wohlenberg (but I didn't see blonde girls or handwriting)
Jennifer Maguire won that year, but as Jennifer Ditz (her maiden name)

2003 Jennifer Bester (but only a cute baby and all computer journaling/titles)

I realize that doesn't give you a person, but might help narrow it down!

I can look more later for two blonde girls and handwriting when I have some more time.

ETA: Ck used to proudly list all the HOF winners on their website (which is the first place I looked), but are now apparently sweeping all mention of the contest under the rug. Even a search for past winners brought up very little - and nothing useful!

None of those names are familiar at all. Maybe it wasn't Jennifer...hmmm...I'll have to see if I can dig out an old magazine from somewhere...maybe I saved one.

She always matted her photos with a thin, white mat; usually used a black zig pen and wrote out her journaling kind of like she was following a curvy line across the pages; always did 2 page spreads; always had a title using pattern paper cut out letters against a solid color rectangle, then matted that in white and matted it again with a pattern to coordinate to the page...I can't believe how much I remember yet I can't remember her name!

I'm going to keep trying to come up with more clues...this is going to keep me up at night if I'm not careful!

The first person that came to mind was Angelia. If you remember what her girls looked like (I did-so cute!) you can see them in this mini book on her blog. Her blog hasn't been updated in years, though.

The name Jen or Jen McLaughlin keeps coming to mind. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

I have the 1999 Hall of Fame book. Jen McLaughlin was a winner that year. However, the layouts of hers in the HOF book do not have any photos with a white border. ONE of the layouts has the curvy journaling across the pages. Just looking at the photos, the 4th of July layout looks like she had two little blonde girls and a blonde baby boy (in 1999). Her titles are varied, and not quite like you describe, but perhaps she did things a little different for the CK magazine after she won.

However, her style is whimsical and fun.

More on Jen McLaughlin.....according to the HOF magazine, she was a co-owner of Back Door Friends the Scrapbooking Company in Whittier, California. It is listed as a private business, retailing in arts and crafts supplies. Not sure if it's a scrapbook store or not. As of Nov. 2011, it appeared to still be in business based on a Dun & Bradstreet profile.

There are many entries with her name if you do a Google search, along with at least one other somewhat prominent scrapbooker who lives in Tennesee. I compared the picture from the HOF magazine with the one found through Google, and do not think it is the same person. Apparently there are quite a few gals by that name that come up through a Google search.

I could not find a blog for the HOF Jen McLaughlin.

(Edited for clarification.)

This thread confirms my thought that the ladies here know everything about everything and have steel trap memories!

This place is fantastic!

That's her! I'd love to find out if she still posts layout ideas somewhere.

The power of the Peas never fails to amaze me!!!
