|Posted: 5/6/2013 11:04:48 PM|I use them every once in a while. Besides, I figure that they are just like fashion trends. They will be "in" again someday. Yes, I may have to wait 30 years, but I'm okay with that.

I was just digging through my stash looking for eyelets. I am so sure I had tons but I was wrong. My eyelet/brad cases have brads no eyelets. Can you still buy eyelets? I want to use some on a few projects I have going.
Thanks for any info.
I'm just a pea:)

My friend & I were just discussing this very topic over the weekend of scrapping together.
I gathered mine up & sold them on eBay because I just wasn't using them & wanted to purge. She still likes them & wants to use them up. She made several cards this weekend & polished off a nice amount of them!

I love eyelets and brads. I use them on lots of layouts and cards.

I just purged all of mine. I never could figure out how to use my big Crop a Dile! I just figured if I hadn't used one in five years - time to let 'em go!

I may just flatten the back and glue them on with a gem over the hole
(where the lens would be) - had to have them

It seems I do not pay much attention to trends. I love to use eyelets - sometimes just to fasten things, to thread twine, to re-enforce tag holes... Once I filled a sun with various shades of yellow and orange eyelets and brads of all different shapes and sizes - sunspots!

I still use them sometimes but only occasionally. I like to use them like brads in a cluster, or 3 in a row along an edge of paper. I still have loads left over from when I first started using them.
Am suddenly wondering if there is something in the ombre trend going on at the moment, say a square or rectangle made of rows of eyelets with each row a changing shade?!
I'm actually tempted to try that for a card as the main element now, if I manage it I'll post it!

I still have mine, but haven't gotten them out in awhile. I need to do that.

I don't use mine often, but no way am I going to purge them! I always regret purging, so from now on, I'm keeping my stash.

I posted this question back in February and got some great ideas to use up my eyelets. One of the best galleries was by Natasha, she's excellent at incorporating eyelets on her LOs. Here' the link:

I can't remember the last time I used an eyelet. They would have been cut with my last major purge but they are mixed up with my brads and it would be too much of a pain to sort them out.

I actually just used some heart shaped ones on my daughter's Alice in Wonderland birthday banner!
