I am sure this has been asked before, but with the search feature not working I have no choice but to post again...

Lettering delights has some sketch fonts I am dying to buy...BUT I can't use them with DS software and I can't convert the file types in Inkscape. Is it worth buying MTC vs useing DS? I have not had to upgrade to the designer addition, I can do everything with what I got, even work with SVG files...

Tell me all you Cameo users, is MTC worth it just to buy the sketch fonts? What are other features to make it worth it?

MTC is absolutely worth every penny.

I've owned it since it first came out.

It is so user-friendly, and the MTC forum is amazing.

I'd recommend it to anyone.

I think MTC is worth it but you can use the ttf versions of the LD sketch fonts in SS as long as you are not writing large and not trying to do rhinestones with them.

I don't have a cameo (have PC machine) so I can't say anything that compares software. But MTC is awesome and you can do node editing now.

One of the biggest reasons I love MTC is because of the layers feature! So there are so many more reasons to get MTC then just the thin fonts! Of course I do love the thin fonts to! It is very user friendly! You can also see all of the LD files you have purchased right in the program, which has me using them more.
The trace feature also works way better then in Studio.
There are also some sketches that LD is selling for MTC, and there are going to be more coming...

Here is something I did with the thin fonts in MTC as well...

I have lots more on my blog!

Wow Amy! Thanks...think that was just the push I needed...I did get the pen holder from Silhouette but it doesn't hold much, looks like just a regular pen. Looks like I'll be making some purchases this weekend! Thanks everyone!!

Gammi, the closest thing to an interlocking font for free is monogram kk. You can download it at abstractfonts.com.
I have bought fm fontbros and can recommend them. Nice monogram fonts are sooo worth the money.
