or not stay. I have been looking on the internet but it is hard to know what is best. I don't want to end up driving hours every day because our cabin is so out of the way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We've stayed many times at Oak Haven Resorts cabins. It's located just outside of Sevierville but not way up in the mountains. You're just a few minutes away from activities, Tangier at Five Oaks outlet, etc.
Online there's an interactive map showing each cabin, photos, amenities. We've always chosen a cabin near the pool. The last cabin we chose was probably one of the nicest.
One time we chose The Resort At Governor's Crossing because it offered a very nice pool, indoor pool w/waterslide, lazy river and a fabulous deal for Dollywood tickets.
They're still offering a deal w/Dollywood tickets.
Pros: Nice pool!
Great deal that included DW tickets!
Condo like set up so we ate breakfast there, had more room (living room, etc).
Cons: It was dirty so I cleaned it before unpacking.
Front desk seemed very clueless until we finally had someone capable help us. (Print out all information & have notes w/names of everyone you've spoken with via phone)
The most uncomfortable mattresses ever slept on! Hopefully they've been replaced.
Would I stay there again? For the right price w/Dollyywood tickets, yes. DSs loved the pool.

I have stayed at Smokies In the Wilderness and Music Road Hotel. Both are good. Wildreness has the best water park I have ever seen. If you have kids they will love it

We were just there in April and stayed at The Resort at Govenor's Crossing - we loved it, except it was cold and rainy when we were there and we didn't get to use the outdoor water park.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo facing the waterpark - very comfortable. The only thing that bothered me is they don't include cleaning in your original price - they CHARGE for maid service. We didn't pay the extra because thats just crazy - but we did get fresh towels changed daily and the trash removed. They just didn't change sheets and clean.
It was close to everything we did, but quiet enough not to be in the hassle of the strip.

So cheesy, but I've always wanted to stay at the Christmas-themed Inn there.
