I am doing a project where I need to cut out a lot of circles. I am using the George Cartridge and the auto fill and it will cut about 36 circles per 12x12 page BUT about 1/4 of the circles are cut it half when I take them off the paper!!!! What am I doing wrong? I have tried changing the blade depth and pressure but it seems like if that was the problem it would be doing that on all of them. HELP!

What size are you cutting them? (2", 1", etc)

How are they cut in half? Are they "hanging" half of the mat, as in there is only half a circle there? Or is it a full circle, but for some freakish reason, the cricut has cut the full circle in half?

You might try using QUANTITY instead of AUTO FILL and see if that yields a different result.

I am cutting them 1 3/4. It cuts a full circle but for some reason, on some of them they are cut in half across the middle so when you take them off the mat they are in two pieces! I will try quantity instead and see what that does.

Have you tried using the cricut crft room (free program)? I use a gypsy but if I didn't I would be using the ccr since it allows you to see what and where you are cutting and let's you move and alter shapes.

I don't know that the craft room would show these cuts because it is only on some of them and not all of them and there is no option for circle cut in half so it isn't something that is programmed in- it is something the cricut is doing on it's own. Maybe it is possessed! I am wondering if it has to do with the blade moving from one side of the paper to the other on the return.

It could be the blade return, what do you have your blade depth/ blade pressure set at? If you are using thinner paper, you might try changing those to a lower setting. I find that unless I am using Bazzill, I don't need to have my depth any more than 4.

Mine has done funky stuff like that before and you are right, it looks like the blade doesn't retract when it goes from bottom to top! Usually when I have tried to cut again it's okay. I think I've also taken the blade housing out at made sure it was going back in. You aren't alone...not that it's all that helpful!
