I have been out of touch with the Gazelle boards for quite some time. Am I correct in thinking that I read that you can download the silhouette software and buy images & then cut them on the Gazelle?
I had read so much at one point, got confused, now forget what I had researched. I've had the Gazelle for a few years & still primarily cut out fonts & dingbats. Haven't mastered the designing/creating my own files. I just need to find time to sit and learn.

I have a Gazelle. I also downloaded the free Silhouette software. I don't know of any way to use it or the Silhouette files with my Gazelle. You could potentially fill in the cutting shape so that it's a solid colored image, take a screen capture, and then import the file into the Gazelle software and do a trace. But I haven't tried it.
Even though you've been out of touch with the Gazelle boards, I think someone over there would be more likely to be able to answer your question.

If you have a certain version of the Designer Edition of Sil Studio (2.1, I think), it will allow you to save as an SVG.
If Funtime can open SVG's you could cut it that way. I always used MTC with my Gazelle (and my Cameo), so I'm not sure if Funtime can cut SVGs

Thanks. I was thinking it was something with saving it as an svg with the silhouette software, but I wasn't sure.

Yes, any file you save as an svg will open in funtime. The Yahoo funtime group is awesome, but even better is the BossKut owners forum. You can post a question in the customer service forum and the will get back to you immediately!! Fantastic customer service.

It basically walks you through how to save a Silhouette file as a JPEG that you can trace in your own software.
