I've only posted on NSBR, but I hope the photography peas might have some ideas for me.

Backstory: my grandfather's primary hobby, for 80 years, was photography. Included in his estate were thousands of 35mm slides, which I took because nobody else wanted them. I didn't want to see them end up in the trash. I also have his projector, which I had repaired, but it's still a pain to use.

I've been transferring the slides to disc, but now I don't know what to do with the slides themselves. They take up a lot of space in my very small house. Does anyone have a suggestion for me?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a lot of books and magazines stored in containers made specifically for storing under the bed, or couch. you could also store them behind a dresser or couch if there is enough room. I have a dresser that has space between the bottom drawers and the floor possibly look there. Good luck!

I should have mentioned that I want to donate them (or sell, haha). Currently they live in plastic totes under my bed.

What is the subject of the slides? One of my husband's hobbies is model railroading and we have come across several people who buy slide collections from estates and then print and sell the photos of train cars, stations, etc. There may be similar markets for other types of slides. If the slides are family photos, etc., maybe your local historical society would be interested in a donation.

I didn't have thousands, but DID have several hundred; they were all family type stuff & after putting them on discs, I tossed them b/c as you said, they take up space. Good luck!!

How do you put the slides on discs? My mother has hundreds of old family slides from the 60's that I would like to copy.
