My DD and I will be stopping in Savannah for two days at the end of the month. We are staying in the historic district and will only be spending two nights. I was thinking of doing one of the hop on hop off trolley tours but what else can you recommend?

My DD is only 9 so I would like a few kid friendly things.

Thanks

The trolly is a great way to start. You'll probably get a better idea of what you want to see after that. Make sure you take her to River Street Sweets for fresh pralines. If you have a car, you could take her to Tybee Island. I highly reccomend the book called "Sojourn in Savannah". It has lots of great info and gives you self guided walking or driving tours. If you don't have time to get it before you go, it should be available at the Visitor's Center.

Have fun!

I love Tybee Island! We also really enjoyed the bonaventure cemetery, amazing history and beautiful nature and old gravesites.

Just got back from Savannah. We did a trolley, but ended up not hopping off because there were hoarded of people waiting to get on at each stop. There is a free shuttle, I think it was called DOT, check that out too.
