I am the most NON creative mom there is, and I have to make campaign posters for my daughter who is running for vice president, can you all help me with some slogans? She is in 5th grade

Also, I need ideas on how to make the posters---- I wish I was more creative!

-------They are only allowed to make buttons or stickers as giveaways--- How would I go about doing that? I obviously don't have a sticker maker? Are those expensive? Is there a place that can do it? I love my DD and want her to win but did she know I am the most un-crafty mom ever haha

what's her first name (if you don't mind saying so)?? Knowing that would help come up with something catchy.

Do you have a Cricut? That's what we use for my DD's campaign posters. Makes a ton of difference in how they look! Also use colored paper or posterboard instead of white-- will set her apart from others!

Good luck!

I have no crafty anything lol.

I have markers, construction paper and posters. That's about it. I feel bad that my kids didn't luck out with a crafty mom.

Catchy slogan!

Make a rectangular poster that looks like those red and white stickers that say "Hi my name is..." Put her name and "for Class VP".

" We had a Reagan for president of the the US, why not for class VP? "
Vote for Reagan!

Reagan's the Best, Forget the Rest

Cast your ballot- have you heard? Reagan for VP- spread the word!

here's my attempt: A Hero in the Making; Vote for Reagan! (with a pic of her in a superhero costume) <---that's kinda lame, I know... I need more caffeine!

Does anyone know how many posters I should make? Also I am putting her picture on each poster, what size picture should I print?

she means to make the entire poster look like a huge one of these name stickers:
Name Badge labels
then, at the bottom under her name, write "for Vice President"

Sure, here ya go:
Hi my name is
Red and white poster board, cut out white letters, glue them on the red part. Write in the white section with a black sharpie.

You can also do a spoof on the whole "Keep Calm and Carry On" & make a poster that says "Keep Calm & Vote for Reagan"
Keep Calm
You can just print out large letters and glue them to a blue poster board with a picture of the crown.

or "I mustache you to vote for Reagan"

Mustache u A question

There are loads of pictures you can download and glue onto the poster board for this. You can hand write the "you a question" part.

Hope that helps!

Check with her teacher-- there may be size limits. When my DD was in elementary school and running for Student Gov. there were limits so that all kids could fit their posters on one bulletin board and you couldn't have 1-2 kids taking up all the space.

The 5x7's are 1.99 each at Walgreen's and that's insane lol. Would 4x6 be big enough?

# posters would depend on where all she wants / needs to hang them, and how big the school area is. Size of photo: looks like posterboard is 20 in x 30 in... maybe 5x7? experiment first with scratch paper to see what the size looks like with your poster design- an 8x10 photo might be too big, unless you want to make the photo one of the main elements of the poster.

This. Potential candidates usually have to go to a meeting where they give them the rules on this. They might also send a note home.

OK yay! I just talked to the teacher in charge of elections, she said 4 posters would be perfect and pictures would be awesome and the pictures can be as big as we want.... I wouldn't do larger than an 8x10 though but I am leaning towards 5x7...

I don't think I'd print photos for that on actual photo paper; I'd probably print one and take it to a copy center and just get it color-copied on regular paper...

clever; I really like both the Keep Calm and the Mustache slogans!!

That's a good idea but we are so far from any printing place, unless my husband can do it on his printer at work. I would have to order from either wal-mart or walgreens....

I am just really having a hard time choosing the size, and what is the cheapest but best way possible. Our funds are so limited this week.

and I am LOVING the slogans!

OK, I just talked to the person at staples and emailed them my file, I am heading to the store to buy posters and then will take it into staples and match everything up.

Thank you everyone for your help!

There are little plastic, clear button kits. You just pop in a picture (maybe a mini version of the posters) in them and pop the plastic back on it.

You could also do the "Hi my name is" sticker

or you could print out something on shipping label, cut them down and give them out as stickers.

If you do the mustache theme, you can find mustache stickers at Party City and plenty of online sources.

Or you can just make something that you can glue a pin to the back of to make your own pins.

Here is the pin craft kit:

She is in school, she will be helping. I am just going to get all the supplies today and then me and her will do everything together.

There are tons of stickers you can personalize and buy at Oriental Trading. http://www.orientaltrading.com/

I have ordered from them a lot, probably other Peas have too!

They are cheap and best of all, worry free.

You've got to be kidding! Don't you think she is capable of running her own campaign? The whole point of it is to boost the kids not the moms.

Why isn't your daughter doing this or at least helping?

Seems to me like she should be doing it all with a little help, or better yet, she could have a friend be her campaign manager.
