lazorkay, I moved here from Springtown in June 1990, at that time, they had already started buying up the right-of-way to turn the road from Springtown to Azle from a 2 lane (one lane on each side with NO median and had a wide paved shoulder on each side) to a 4 lane divided. I've only been back TWICE since then, a few years later and it was like wow! The commute to Fort Worth would have been SO much better!
The last time I was there was when Donna was moving to her new house in September 1993. They had to move because they were supposed to be building a fancy exit like the interstate highways. I thought by now, it would have been done!!! I didn't know because Donna died 2 years later and my neighbors that I was so close to in Springtown moved North Richland Hills. |

Hello Melissa  one day we would love to have you!! I recently had to change our December date. There was a prior family commitment that I forgot to plan for so this month we'll meet on the fourth weekend (12/29) I'm really looking forward to it because I am expecting some kits and have some new, cute holiday paper that I just picked up in Keller!!

I'm so glad I saw this thread! I'm just north of Sherman - about 45 min from North Dallas and an hour from Denton. I would LOVE to meet up with other scrappers. I'm just getting back into scrapping after a 4 year hiatus. |

I lived in north Ft. Worth a couple of years, and was just up there last week to visit family.

I would love to get together! After being a hermit for the last 3 years while dealing with my divorce and the related garbage, I'm finally ready to get back out there and see my friends. Is there a store we could meet at in Denton? I'm usually off on Sundays or if we plan a couple of weeks in advance I can get off on a Saturday. |

However, I can go to a 4 day retreat - with food and lodging for a LOT cheaper.
The retreat is hosted by Cat's Creations in Mineral Wells.
