Rachel: Welcome home!!! Don't worry, you didn't run me off with baby talk - I'm loving it! It is giving me slight baby fever...emphasis on SLIGHT! LOL

Not too much going on here...let's just say today was definitely a Monday! Is it Friday yet?!

I think I am going to work on some of my 30 Days of Lists now.

Christina: I agree about shots. I usually do not get the flu shot, even though I am "high risk" due to my asthma. I am only getting it this year because Amelia will be too young this flu season. Gotta protect her.

Amelia and I just took an awesome nap!! Love my girl!

Loni: I will take any advice I can get!!!!

Omg can someone give a reader's digest of what's been going on?

I know rach had her baby! congrats

I've been trying to stay off of here due to the fact I don't need to buy anything else and I've been super busy. when I get off work I either go to the boys house or come home and veg out on netflix.

things are going well with him...we aren't official but who cares. we had actually had a long conversation about his childhood. we have also balanced seeing each other and hanging out with other friends. he has plans to sell his house which I find odd but he wants to move closer to town so he can have his party days he never had lol..I ask him if he was having a midlife crisis early but I think he just wants to go out more. which is odd...because he's older than me and he's introvert. he likes being alone a lot. I'm a mix. I'll go through times when I love being around other people and other times I just want to be a loner. man last week I went out three times...once to the bachelorette (sp?) party then for my friends birthday and then with the boy....I'm too pooped to party now..

I currently have the sinus crud / beginnings of bronchitis so I'm bored out of my mind because I slept all day after getting a shot.

I'm still waiting to move into my grandaddy's rent house and it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere soon which is driving me nuts!

@Loni, Caroline, Caro: Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling a bit better today.

I made it into college for classes yesterday but I don't think it was the best idea. I could barely stay awake and felt like the room was spinning. Today is my day off. It's nearly 3pm and I'm still in bed. I have homework I need to do though.

@Rach: Yay for being home with Millie!!!

As for the flu shot discussion: I got the H1N1 vaccine few years ago. I was working in a hospital at the time and they came in and gave it to us (we didn't HAVE to get it but it was highly encouraged). I didn't have any side effects. I've never had a regular flu shot.

@Bethany: I'm glad to hear things are going well with the boy.

It's my birthday tomorrow!

Lisa: Rest may be your best bet right now...stay in bed!!

We are headed to the doctor for Millie. I think she is a bit jaundice so they will check her bili levels and weight today.
My mom stayed at our house last night which was a huge help!! I may need her again tonight.

I sorted my scrappy goodness last night and will work on printing pictures for the baby album!!

Rachel: Good luck with everything. If anything they can bring in a heat bed to your house instead of staying in the hospital. Have fun going through your goodies and enjoying naps with baby.

Caro: it's nothing to do with money. We get it free. It's more about like others said. I was about 16 and got the flu shot and I ended up sick back to back with flu and was absent from school more than I can count (figure of speech- I can count pretty high). But every time I get the shot I am sick longer than if I had just got the flu which I haven't got in a long while. I am just thinking of getting it for the family this year because my oldest is involved in outside activities, library once a week and play dates.

Lisa: Happy Birthday!

My mom leaves today which is a bummer because it went by so fast. Hopefully I can catch up on my challenges, but I'm so far behind since I tend to scrap only on weekends. I need to organize my area so I can work.

I crawled out of bed to do my homework. We're starting to produce our own game so we had to develop a character and have them move around the screen and develop a sound that goes with them. I made a leprechaun who dances and plays tin whistle. I'm really pleased with how it turned out so far, especially since I did all the art work myself (we could have pulled the images off the web if we liked).

@Rach: Most babies get jaundiced at this stage. She should be fine with plenty of sunlight and lots of fluids. Things to watch out for: Really dark urine, pale stools, if she's very sleepy (eg sleeping through multiple feeds).

@Elizabeth:Thanks! I'm sorry your mom has to leave. How are does she live from you?

Good morning!
I subbed again yesterday in a 2nd grade class. It was fun, but I was exhausted by the time I got home!

Today I finally have a day completely to myself, so I am going to be scrapping, working on Etsy stuff, and catching up on laundry. I also need to start getting things together for my weekend crop that starts Friday!

Rach- It sounds like everything is going great! Millie is a super cute nickname. Glad your mom was able to help you out!

Lee- ugh, that sounds like some bad bug you have. I agree with Rachel - lots of rest! Hopefully you are feeling better in time for your birthday! Your video game sounds awesome. That stuff is beyond me, so I admire you for it!

Elizabeth- Sad about your mom leaving, but that's nice that you got to spend some time with her.

Bethany- LOL, you have to stay away from 2Peas to keep from buying stuff, huh? I think I've shown more restraint this CHA than ever before. Mostly because I don't have the money to spend and I haven't been scrapping much.

Steph- We should scrap tonight!

Rachel, I've had jaundiced babies. I hope she isn't so bad she has to be on lights, but she'd be umpa-lumpa orange so bet she doesn't need to.
How is she doing at night for you?

Monica, how have you been? Any news in the Etsy shop?

HAPPY BIRHTDAY, LISA!!! Now, remind me what you're doing for school? Did you go back again, or what?

Hi Becks! How is your baby doing?

I'm avoiding housework, again. shhh! Wish I could scrap tonight with you guys, but I'm hosting book group for church - ya, I need to go make some bookmarks probably . . .

@Monica: I'm starting to feel better, I think haha. We're only using Scratch at the moment for game development. You can down load it for free if you want to give it a go. It comes with preloaded characters that you can use. It's not that difficult to get the basics. I like you're new projects, especially the one of your lil bro, so cute!

@Becks: Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was wondering if you were still alive. How's your little guy?

@Loni: Thanks I'm studying Multimedia Production. Just a year course to see if I like. There's no work in midwifery and nothing stable (all day-to-day work) when there is some, so I've pretty much been in limbo for the past two years and I couldn't take it any more. What book are you reading in book group?

Lisa, I see. It's so depressing how many people are out of work right now. I hope it works out for you!

We are reading, NUTS, I just had it open in another window. Haha, here is a link:

Wanna read it with me? My book group is so pitiful. It's pretty much me +1. I'll let you know if anyone new comes tonight.

@Loni: I just checked the library catalogue and they don't have it. Mysteries aren't very popular here. Deedee loves them though. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd read or at least heard of that one already. I'm reading two books at the moment. Well, three really but one of them couldn't hold my attention through the first chapter so it's been put away for the time being. The main book I'm reading at the moment is Nightwatch by Sarah Waters, and it's being supplemented with The World According to Garp by John Irving. I hope more people show up to your book club!!!

Good news!! No jaundice! Millie's color is improving and they didn't even need to do bloodwork! I worked for this doctor's office when I was in college and have several friends still there. I am glad we just got to chat with my lab tech friend rather than have a heel stick!

I stopped by my office while up the mountain and saw some of my co- workers. I have no desire to go back anytime soon!!

Almost time for dinner. Be back later.

Man oh man, how does the day just fly by?! I worked on a bit of Etsy stuff and then listed some more scrap crap for sale... I guess that took up a lot of time. I still need to get to SCRAPPING!

So I just noticed that some weirdo guy used my picture of Dinky that I have for the profile pic on my Dinky Doodle Designs FB page as his profile pic It creeps me out. Is there a way to block people from using your picture on FB??

Loni- I love mysteries! I'm still trying to get through To Kill a Mockingbird right now. I haven't had a whole lot of time to read lately, though. I'm loving the book, but it kinda drags on and on.

Lisa- Glad you are feeling better!

mom is gone and me and DD cried. Sad bc we got there just in time and didn't get a good hug by. It was rushed. She lives about 24 hours away and because of money we only see each other every two years. Hoping to change that once we accept a job offer. Interviews are getting hectic. 3 a day is annoying bc since his car is broke I have to drop him off and pick up or give him the car for the whole day which left us in the house.
I have been pretty crafty these last couple of days while my mom was here. Sewing mainly but got a giant quilt done, ballet bag (cute), baby minky baby blanket and matching pillow for my mom other grand baby just born, and dresses. My sewing machine needs a rest.
Wish I could scrap tonight, but I am just so beat I think I am going to rest and tomorrow tackle a new day.

Lisa, 4 people came! YAY! That's the most I've ever had. And they loved my book I chose for last month - Unenchanted by Chanda Hahn, it was free last month IDK if it is now. Apperently Josi Kilpack is a really prolific writer. At the group the ladies kept listing and listing things she's written. (I asked a friend to pick this month's book, so I'm looking forward to reading it.)
My favorite part of book group is talking about what we've been reading lately. I'll add your two to my long list of ones to look up tonight!

Monica, that's creepy kinda. If Dinky wasn't so cute, people wouldn't want to look like him.

Rachel, Great news! You should be a stay at home mom forever! Don't you wish you had a money tree?

Elizabeth, sorry about your mom! Hopefully it won't be 2 years before you see her again.

Where are ya'll? Who's scrapping with me today?

Monica, what are you taking to your crop? I'm considering taking everything except my computer, printer and Sil. I think I can fit it in one tub, so what the heck. Should I not do that? I just hate having unfinished projects when I get home! A few will be ok, but not 20 like last time.

Loni- Thanks A lady working on Monday when I picked my submissions up told me that either last year or this year was the first time they've had a scrapbooking category, so it's pretty new.

Lisa- Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Caro- Sorry if I confused you, lol. I entered a scrapbook layout into the scrapbook category at our local fair (week-long carnival with rides, and you can also submit photos, canned veggies, knit/crochet, woodworking, homemade clothing, etc.) I ended up winning a blue ribbon

Bethany- Glad to hear things are going well with the boy Hope you get to feeling better, too.

Rach- Glad Millie isn't jaundiced...and what a cute nickname

Monica- No idea about blocking pic usage, but that is very weird...

Well, I am back at work today. I'm glad this week is my short week...the weather is soooo nice lately, so I've enjoyed riding horses more than usual I am at a point where I am all caught up with everything--with all my paperwork at work, and with my scrapbooking and misc. things at home. It's a good feeling to be caught up

Good Morning ladies! Had a good cry last night on DHs shoulder. Felt good to just get a long hard cry out. I feel much better today and going to start a new project. A capelet type scarf for my mom in white with cables. Super cute design. I am also to start prepping for Fridays crop night. Really would love to be able to finish 5 pages. But every time I go I tend to lag at first. No one hardly ever scrapbooks (more chatty- mostly the host ) so I don't have much inspiration to get started. Well about to start my day. Hope everyone has a good one.

hello!
Today I am working on laundry and really really need to start packing for my crop this weekend. It's always overwhelming trying to figure out what to take & what to leave!

We did the last Taco Tuesday last night at my brother's work. It was a lot of fun! I'm sure going to miss them.

Rachel- Take it easy! I hear that from a lot of people I know who have had c-sections... it takes longer than you think to recover.

Elizabeth- Sorry you are so sad

Loni- I've finally got to the point with packing for these crops where I take the big stuff and not so much of the little stuff. I basically take my SC kits (which helps A LOT!), sewing machine, laptop, Cameo, trimmer, basic tools, and a variety pack of cardstock. I also go through & pick out a few of my favorite embellies, washi, mists, tags, etc. Oh, and I pack stamps + ink. I guess I do take everything but the kitchen sink

Lisa- ugh, that really stinks about the profile pic of Dinky... There are just some things I don't understand about FB. Even though it's a public page, people shouldn't be able to use MY picture!!

okay, I'm off! Determined to have a productive day.

Yep Rachel, we should do a virtual crop as soon as you are feeling better!

How is Millie today? The first couple of weeks are exhausting as you recover and get used to caring for baby 24/7 but she'll get a routine soon. I'm kind of jealous of all that snuggle time you're getting. Gem is not cuddly anymore! haha

Haha, Monica, the list of what I'm not taking is shorter. But I've pulled out a suitcase that might hold most of it. Way better than a storage tub, I think. If it was a regular crop I wouldn't mind but it's an Expo and I'll be leaving my table to shop probably.

Loni: no because the final interview is Friday with a few flights to Houston for a second interview for 2 companies. We still have to wait about 3 or more weeks for offers to come back and that's the stressful part. He was just asking me about Alaska. Anyone have any information they can share. Would have to live there for 3 to 5 years before we would move so not sure what all Alaska has to keep me busy.

Working on my knitting and it's going pretty good.

Monica: wow girl you bring everything but the kitchen sink. have fun. Is it a weekend crop or what? Would love to attend a retreat, but I always feel the need to go with a friend.

@Elizabeth: I'm sorry you're sad. Hopefully you'll get to see your mom soon again.

@Loni: I'm glad some people showed up! Mystery writers tend to write tonnes of books from what I understand. Hopefully I can get Unenchanted at the library here. I own way too many books and have just cleared out another big bag to get rid of. I've decided to try to not buy books for the time being and get everything from the library. Books are so expensive and they take up so much space.

@Julie: Thanks! I'm so jealous that the weather is nice there. Winter weather has already started here. I was wearing my mittens and winter coat today.

@Rachel: Ow! Sorry you're in pain. Wait... I'm confused... I just read Monica's post. Did you have a c-section? How did I miss that?

@Monica: I know, it sucks! I just had a look at the picture there. Maybe he just thought it was one of those generic pics that float around and not one of your dog? You could stamp your logo on pics you're going to use as profile pics for the business page, it would deter other people from using them.

Still sick, grrr!!! I'm getting fed up of this! I'm slightly better, but it's been a week! I went to choir this evening, I'm not sure if I'll be able to talk tomorrow, but it was fun and it's the first time I've left the house for something not related to college since friday. I'm in bed with a hot water bottle at the moment waiting for Deedee to get home from work so that we can have a webcam date.

My Mom got me a chocolate fudge cake for my birthday and stuck sparkler candles in the top of it

I got 95% on my dancing, tin whistle playing leprechaun that I submitted as my first college assignment, yay!

Lisa: I labored for 24 hours. Miss Millie was trying to come out ear first and when I would get almost to transition, her heart rate would drop with every contraction. We had to stop Pitocin and go with a c-section for her health. It wasn't ideal, but she is here!!! I'm going to type up the whole birth story soon.

Oh dear, I know a CSection was not in the plan, but I'm so happy that miss Amelia is here!
I take it that you are excited for a girl. Tho either would have been a blessing, it's okay to wish for one more then other.
Speaking of which...
I have a friend who is going to have a baby boy. She found out today it's a boy and she is actually mad about it? Really? Who does that! She was complaining to our mutual friend about how she wanted a girl and she is upset and our friend isn't even able to have children of her own! Some nerve huh?
Okay sorry... I had to vent a wee bit as I just found this out.
As for me... Sorry I've been AWOL! It's been super busy in the household and besides Facebook and typing up a blog post I'm hardly on the computer. Mr. Jax the two year old doesn't like mommy to have 'alone time'. /giggle

I was going to get it on audible, but I bought the sample on my kindle. THEN, I think Gemma pushed some buttons and I bought it on the kindle. (there goes October's book budget!) LOL! Oh well! I'd rather read it anyway - I miss things when I listen. How are you feeling?

Feeling better today. I am doing better about remembering to take my pain medication. (too much to keep up with!!)

We are headed to check Millie's weight at the doctor's. Also, might run by Old Navy to find some pants for her and bras for me. (the sports bras are perfect for nursing!)

Ry's grandfather is coming to visit this afternoon/evening and then I plan to scrap a bit!!

@Rach: Ahhhh, I see! I knew you were in labour for a long time on pitocin, I must have missed the part about the section some how. Taking your pain meds regularly is really important, even when you're not sore. It's much harder to get rid of pain after a section than it is to keep it away with regular meds.

@Lizzie: That's crazy! I could understand her being a little bit disappointed for a couple of minutes, but to complain about it, especially to someone with fertility issues? Seems like an extreme reaction.

@Loni: Little people should be kept away from any devices where you press buttons to spend money. At least you ended up with something you were interested in anyway.

Still sick. Will I ever get better???

Hi everyone !

@Monica : you could nicely tell the person that it is your design and the design of your shop and you would prefer if they could change their picture, if he/she does it, do like Lisa (?) said and protect your pictures with your name or something

@Rachel : I am glad you and your daughter are fine, don't forget to take your meds !!! Can we see what you took for the baby album ?

@Lisa : I would love to know how to create games, I think this could be amazing to apply them to languages ! Congrats for your 1st great grade !!

Uni is hectic, I am so tired when I go home... plenty of homeworks, and in the last 3 days I woke up in the night because of nightmares (kind of related to school all the time) I think my subconcient is trying to tell me something, as if I was not freakying out enough for next wednesday...

back to work ! tonight I am cooking for bf and 2 housemates ! Fajitas !!!

Hey ladies. How is everyone doing with the challenges? Just a couple more days in the month. It went by fast. Hoping to get some done tomorrow and maybe Saturday and Sunday I will upload them and my baby picture. Busy this last month but hoping October doesn't get away from me. Hoping to get some mini albums done or at least started. Looking forward to that.

Caro: yum. Hope bf and friends enjoy.

Rach, that is possibly the sweetest thing I've ever read re knowing exactly who Millie was since the moment the test was positive

Elizabeth, thanks for the tip re ravelry. Making slow progress with my scarf!

Monica, what a weirdo that guy is...

Lisa, hope you get better soon. Did you go out for arthurs day?? I didn't but there are some pretty good acts playing down here.

Loni, kids and technology eh?! I'm probably going to learn that lesson only too well with my new career!

Speaking of, have been incredibly busy with week 1 but all going well

And slowly but surely getting the man moved in. He's building me a walk in closet this weekend

Hi to new girls.

Chat soon ladies

@Caro: Download Scratch and make a game!!! It's free and it isn't that complicated to use, I'll help you if you need it.

@Caroline: Thanks I didn't go out, too sick. One of the headline acts was coming to Limerick but I've yet to find out who it was or where they're playing.

Rachel, yay! I'm glad you get some scrap time!

Lisa, I know, I know! It worked out THIS time, but I'll be more careful! Get better! I'm sorry you're still sick.

Hi Steph!

Well, I'm mostly packed for the crop! I'm just looking through pics to see if I want to print anymore. I wish one of you could be there! Maybe I'll meet a pea. I'm so nervous to be going by myself.

Loni: where are you going to crop at?

Okay I bought the Shimelle Perfect collection and so far it's okay. I just wish she could have said what pages to use the paper for. Cut up two kits and got one almost ready to go. Just need to scan and reprint photos in black and white. Hopefully tomorrow at the monthly crop at a friends I am hoping to complete a whole 20 page album. Crossing my fingers on that, but I'm hopeful.

I am working on Christmas gifts and so far it's coming along. Knitting a cable capelet scarf for my mom. Should be done by tomorrow. Is anyone else making handmade gifts?

Where is everyone???

It's been a rainy day today.

I have been put on bed rest by Ry so I can heal. I am just watching TV while his mother and grandmother hold Millie. I think Ry is sleeping in the man cave.

Did I tell you all that our neighbors were in the room next door to us in the birthing center? They came in early Monday morning and had their baby right after we were discharged. So cool that they have a newborn too!!

Rachel: that's cool. If they are nice people you should try to set up play dates when they get a little older. Take care of yourself.

I have a sore throat and feel very sick. Oldest has allergies so were both snuggled up in bed. Hoping to go scrapbook later. Hoping I feel a little better.

Today is very slow on the tread. Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday.

Hi!!

Ugh, sorry I didn't come back last night. This has been such a week from hell and I'm SOOOO glad that it's FRIDAY! People wear me out....

Will anyone be around scrapping tonight? I am going to work on my 30 lists album all night. We are going to see my in-laws tomorrow, so we will be gone all day. I also plan on scrapping Sunday morning and afternoon. Sunday evening we are going to our neighbor's birthday party.

So if anyone wants to scrap with me, I'm here!

Steph: well since I canceled going to my friends to scrap I guess I can scrapbook at home. Still feel blah and throat is hurting more than ever, but I really want to give that perfect collections class by Shimelle a try. I'll be up and running in half hour. Let's see if I complete 15 pages. Since I need to scan and reprint photos it will not be 100% done but that's fine. I want to at least have pages built and embellishments made and found. Might be an all nighter. I'll have to look into this 30 list thing you are mentioning.
