@Rachel: That's so cool. An instant friend for Millie.

@Steph: Hi! I hope you're enjoying scrapping

@Elizabeth: Sorry I gave you my cold :'(

I'm still dying, I don't understand... I don't usually get sick and if I do it's normally a mild dose that's gone in a couple of days.
My cousin and her girlfriend gave me the new JK Rowling book for my birthday, whoop!!!

Hey y'all! So excited... I'm at my hotel crop. I already finished one page, which is good for me! We took part in the free happy hour, which took up some time. Think I had one drink too many I see a few crooked things on my LO but, hey, that just adds character right?!

I'm heading to bed. I want to get a fresh start! I'll check in tomorrow!

Monica: have fun and enjoy those cocktails

Lisa: I think it's more allergies than a cold bc I had some sinus issues the other day and it's possible it drained down my throat which caused it to be sore. I hope it's not a cold bc my house tends to fall apart.

Okay so this perfect collections seems to be working. Did about 7 layouts. Not bad for a few hours. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish it up after my cleaning.

hi everyone

a quick message from my bf computer, his bro is supposed to arrive soon and we are going to make crepes ! (because I was craving for them during the week !!) bf is at the shop right now

I am going to be more and more absent because next week (wednesday) I start my secondary placement until february

@rachel : so great to have a neighbour with a baby the same age and nearly the same date, if they like each other, you are going to be able to make double bday parties !!

@monica : enjoy your hotel crop (I am relly jealous...) I have not craft for more than 2 weeks....

@Elizabeth : good that Shimelle's class is working for you I love her, she is amazing, and I had a chance to met her during the summer (for a non scrapbooking reason) and she was really accessible

@Lisa : i think you missed my question about London

@caro now I am craving crepes!!
@Monica, sounds like you are having fun at the crop. I also overindulged last night on wine and am now suffering the consequences!! See more on last night below...not a great end to the evening...
@Lisa, let us know how the jk Rowling book is!
@Elizabeth, you are a scrapping machine!! So many layouts!! I planned on knitting a few scarves as Christmas gifts but the progress is slow at the moment so may have to rethink that plan!
@steph, how is the 30lists album going? I fell behind but have revived it by turning into a project I do with my Little Sister. She's really into the idea and we're having fun being creative together
@rach, so cool that Millie will have a friend nearby to grow up with and that you are nearby a new mum too. It will be nice to get together. Also great that you have help at home so you can rest loving the instagram pics, she's such a cutie!
@loni, lookingforward to hearing all about your crop. I bet you're having a blast!! There are monthly crops here where I live but I'm too nervous to go. I'm ok with the fact that i would e going alone but afraid that everyone else would e amazing artists and that I'd just look pathetic with my efforts!!

My life has been ridiculously busy at the moment. My new college course is pretty time intensive and I'm determined to do very well so I intend putting in lots of work. Lots of big projects going on to make room for my new roomie I had a catch up with all my friends last night but it ended badly as one of them had taken offence to the fact that I hadn't personally told her my news about going back to study, but had let it filter through the grapevine. So we ended up having a bit of an argument and I came home in tears. Was so nice to have my man there to comfort me. Hoping to patch things up with my friend but she can pretty stubborn so might stay mad at me for quite some time...I am very upset about the whole situation but need to focus on bigger picture for now. I've reached out to try and patch things up and clear the air. It's up to her now as to whether she'll accept that...
On a more cheerful note, my man has finished my study and I now have a huge desk! Next project, our wardrobe

Wow! Can't believe another week has come and gone.. It went by in a blip!

Was able to finish a page last weekend for my 28 blog hop post (check out my blog). There are some fun prizes to win along the way

The past week I've had no time to scrap at all.. It's been a crazy week. Last sunday I woke up with a sore spot in my mouth. It hurt, but not that much, so I thought it would pass.. But day after day it got bigger and I could barely open my mouth anymore, so I went to the dentist on wednesday and apparently it was an inflammation next to/under my wisdoom tooth. So he decided he needed to take my wisdom tooth out the next day.. And while we're at it, why not the the other two out as well So.. that's what happened thursday.. The top two (without the inflammation) were absolutely no biggy.. But the bottom one... Oh well.. a few days later I'm a lot better

And it's the weekend, which means times to rest and scrap How are you girls doing?

@ Rach: Amelia is already one week old! Saw the cutest pic of her on instagram! So sweet! How's your little family doing?

@ Monica: love your projects (card, ahoy matey and back to school), especially the card, it's really cute!

Sounds like you're having a ball at the crop Can't wait to see what you've made there!

@ Caro: Oh crepes! Delish! Now I want some! We have a dutch version, called 'Pannenkoeken' (pancakes), but they're slightly thicker than crepes.. Love me some 'crepe au nutella'

What does your secondary placement entail? Do you need to work 5 days a week?

@ Caroline: that's sad I never stay mad for long, either with friends or with my love, because I hate to fight! But then again, saying 'sorry' is hard for me, so I usually show it by being nice again

What are you guys up to this weekend? I'm off to do some scrapping next and meanwhile some laundry as well.. Will eat at my parents tonight, since my fiancé is gone

Catch you later!

Dee: I hope they gave you some pain meds to help you heal. hopefully everything will feel much better soon!!

We are getting in the groove. Not going to complain, but Millie slept for 6 hours last night. It freaked me out when we woke up at 6:00 and she hadn't woken up to eat!! She has been doing much better with feedings and is just the most perfect thing in my life!

I'm headed down to the scrap cave in a bit to print some photos and start on week one of her PL style album.

Then our day will be filled with visitors...Millie is so popular.

Anyone else scrapping today?

Monica: Enjoy your crop!!!

What a long night. Seems my house is under weather and I'm starting to think maybe a light cold is in the mist. I finished my moms capelet but noticed it looked a little small for her. I am going to give it to my grandmother and about to start my mom a new one with a different design. Hope this one comes out big enough.

I was only about to get about 7 layouts done but hoping to finish it up today and scan the photos when I have more time. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hi girls

@Caroline : so sorry for what happen with your friend, I hope everything is going to be better soon

@Dee : how is your mouth feeling ? ae you only eating soup ? or ice-cream (that was my case, when I had my wisdom tooth taken out : ice-cream for a whole week-end !!)
For my secondary placement we starting off by observing classes and little by little (hopefully) I am going to take over the teacher's place at the end we should do a maximum of 12 hours per week at school (+ uni, and homework, and lesson planning and essais...)

@Monica : how is your hotel crop ? having fun ? crafting a lot ?

@Rachel : Millie is adorable !!!
can't wait to see your PL project !!

here is my French recipe for crêpes :
-250g flour
-50 butter (melt it)
-4 eggs
-1/2 litre milk
-1 pinch of salt

put the flour and then milk (not the reverse) and then the rest
in a saucepan at medium eat, put a thin layer of the batter
don't forget to oil the sausepan
they need to be golden on both side !
READY !! time to eat !
add whatever you want :
savoury (chesse, ham, onions, eggs...)
or sweet (sugar, honey, nutella, peanut butter...)

enjoy !

I am behind on all the new people...so, hello to all the new folks I am Julie, 25, from Arkansas. I have a bf and am obsessed with horses, pretty much

Elizabeth- I understand your good cry...I had a good one last night, myself, and felt 200% afterwards.

Lisa- Your cold weather doesn't sound fun I hate cold weather, lol. Ours is fluctuating...we've been having cooler mornings and nights a little bit, but hot in the day. We always have weird changing temperatures around here.

BF and I played games with a group of friends last night...he won his money back, and I came home empty handed Other than that, I have been riding my horse and making lots of progress. I have been riding my neighbor's horses (she has 4 + 1 new one) instead of mine...I have 3, but 2 of them are getting old, and I'm not competing, so I don't have to keep them in shape. However, I've started working with the youngest one again, just to try and keep him fit and learn some new things. Last week, I rode every day...either early in the morning on my off days, or after work in the evenings on my work days. It was EXHAUSTING but so much fun

We have had a busy couple of days. Lots of visitors.

Millie went to church for the first time today. She loved the music, the sermon not so
much. We left for a diaper change and feeding during that part of the service.

Almost done with week one of Millie's album. Scrapping in 10-15 minute intervals is new. Started printing photos for week two so I should be caught up soon!!

Way to go Rachel on Millie's album. I wish I had started my girls album right away. I wouldn't be so far behind. Was hoping to get caught up, but still moving slow while working on every thing else.

Elizabeth, the crop was in a Salt Lake City. How did your crop go? 20 pages! That is impressive, even if it is in a coordinated album! (Oh, you didn't go,huh? - it's easier to stay home sometimes!) How are you feeling today?

Rachel, good! You need the rest! So does Ryan apparently, LOL! That's awesome that your neighbors have a newborn too. How fun! I can't wait to see your PL stuff. If I hadn't spent so much this weekend I'd be ordering my first PL kit today!

Steph, how did your scrapping go? And in-laws? I saw mine at church yesterday. They visited for the kids program. Oh my heck, I have to link this song that they sang. I cried like a baby! It was so beautiful, I think Rach would really like it too.

Lisa, Still sick!? I hope you get better soon! Let me know how the book is!

Monica, how did the tipsy scrapping go?

Caro, don't disappear!

Caroline, you should go sometime! I went alone! I was hoping to make friends, but Everyone came in groups and I was only scrapping for a few hours by myself. I'll go with you!!

Dee, how is your mouth? How icky! I hope you are feeling ok. I see you are scrapping a little - on instagram!

Hi Julie! How long do you ride for?

OK! Back to the housework. oh, I still havent' told you about my weekend.

So, I went to the expo with my mom who LOVES taking classes. So she took classes for about 3-4 hours while I cropped. It was lonely, but totally fine. I'm ok with scrapping alone, it's just embarrassing being in such a gigantic room with hundreds of scrappers and me at an empty table where there is room for 8. I'm sure I blushed the whole time.

I shopped and shopped and spent almost all of my birthday bucks! Got some great deals, though and only a little buyers remorse! I plan to scrap a lot and my mom wants to scrap during General Conference this weekend (I'm a Mormon, if you guys didn't know that yet!)

And remember how there is the MME warehouse just miles away from my sister's new apartment. SCORE! There is a fabulous scrapbook store even closer! I spent as much there as I did at the expo, I needed some basic cardstock, sheet protectors, stuff like that.

It was a good weekend, but not so good for scrapping. I don't think it was worth it. Also got some washi - 11 rolls and took a photography class because mom had to leave for some family business (she picked up some of her deceased step-mother's things, I posted one of the old pictures she got on instagram.)

Okay enough of the novel from me! I'll talk to you all soon!

Gethsemane Song

I think this song was written by an LDS couple but it's not a church sanctioned song. Just to clarify - for the church program they had to get permission to sing this in Sacrament Meeting. (That might be unnecessary info. but oh well.) My 4yo is singing along as I listen to this video and Baby G is dancing! LOL. Ya, My kids have been singing it for months, but when they performed it - WOW! it was just so, so beautiful hearing it from a group of children!

Loni: if I was there we could have cropped together. I hate going to them along and everyone comes in a group. Feels like HS even though I was captain cheerleader and sat where ever. All my friends here in Oklahoma are Mormon. I'm not, but I click with them so good. My oldest always says "mom can we go to the church of Zumba" at the church they hold zumba 3 days a week among other activities.
I am much better but sucked that for the whole rainy weekend I was under the weather. I was able to finish 9 layouts so it's not bad because I was knitting in between and watching Netflix and Shimelle on IPad. Lol multi tasking 4real. My house needs my help so I must get to that and hopefully I can do a little more knitting and scrapbooking.

Church of Zumba!? That's hilarious!
Ya our extra activities are book group - which I do, Quilt group - my mom does, AND our Pinterest group is starting tomorrow. I'm so excited!! Oh, and a temple group, and a play group. No Zumba here, LOL, but someone in my ward teaches it at the local gym!

Loni where are you located again? One of the girls that taught Zumba ( great gal) moved back to Utah. I wish she was still teaching because I lost 20 lbs with her kicking my butt. My friend loves book club. No quilt club but they hold craft night once a month. Fun group of girls in the church I've met so far.

I live in Wyoming, 2 hours away from Salt Lake. A craft group would be popular I bet!

If you were me, would you make your scrapbooking day on Wednesday when your 2 older kids are at school all day and your hubby goes to scouts at 7 or on Friday, when kids have no school half the time and hubby gets home at 5?
