Secret Santa Sister,
I am glad you are finally getting better. I would hate to be sick on Thanksgiving. I had to work next to a girl with strep throat today. (The one thing I have no immunity towards) She started running a fever @ 4 and I told her to go home.

Nothing that I can't live without. Not that I can think of. BG Aspen Frost is my current love but really all the holiday lines I love.

I hope you have a great night. (and keep getting better)

Ashley

Hi Mrs. Santa - hope you are having a great week. Busy here!! My husband is at camp for the week so at least I don't have to cook too much!!

Do you have any fun plans for Thanksgiving? Are you the chef? We are going to my aunt's so I only have to make a few things. I can't believe it is next week already!! Time flies.

Have a fun weekend - are you working on any projects right now? ~Shari

Hi SantaElf,

I had a good weekend, and this week has been going well. I'm enjoying the actual Fall weather we're having in the Houston area, and spending as much time outside as I can.

I've been working on organizing my scrapbooking and papercrafting supplies in the evenings when I get home. I don't have a huge amount of stuff, but it wasn't organized in any particular way. I was given a few of those wood modular cube organizers by a family friend who didn't need them anymore, so that's really motivated me to put it to good use.

Do you have any special Thanksgiving plans?

This year it's just my DH and I. His parents are going to be out of town, and he has to work that Fri-Sun at his temporary weekend job. So, we're having a really low-key celebration. But, the next weekend we'll get together for a bigger celebration with his parents, and by then his weekend job will be done, and it'll be back to just Mon-Fri for him and we can spend weekends doing holiday stuff.

This message is for my swap sister, JDStumble:

I haven't forgotten about you, I've been out doing some shopping to finish off your swap goodie box. This week I picked up some sweet treats, as well as a couple of crafty little surprises to add to what I've already gathered. There's one last thing I'd like to get before I ship it out to you though, and I'll pick it up over the weekend.

I know I'm shipping to an alternate address, and I'm going to ship the Monday after Thanksgiving if that's okay, so that you don't have to worry about keeping track of it during the holiday. And of course, I will let you know the tracking number as soon as I ship.

I hope you're doing well, and the people affected by the storm are having a smooth road to recovery. I've only dealt with the aftermath of a hurricane in the heat of summer. As uncomfortable as it is to try and get cool, it must be many times harder to try and get warm when you're in the middle of cleaning up and rebuilding.

I'm sorry I missed your birthday, I hope you had a happy one, and I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving too!

Hi Jolly Elf! Thanks for the message. I really love Real Simple, Sunset, and Women's Day magazines (I get Better Homes and Gardens, and Family Circle already). Not really into any book series right now, but always looking for good ones! I DO use punches a lot, but I am always looking for more, especially border punches, and small designs...as for DVDs since I have a little one I am really into cartoons - like Despicable Me, and Happy Feet. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any other ideas.

Happy Thanksgiving to you! I understand about having to clean your craft space, because I need to get mine organized before company comes next week! Have a happy weekend!

Hello April,
I had fun shopping for you on my day off. Only one more thing on my list and your package will be ready to mail.
I have been watching some Christmas movies on the hallmark channel, how about you. It is supposed to be nice next week, I hope to put up my lights outside. Last year I put them up in the snow. Brrrrr.
Do you have a long weekend off for Thanksgiving from school? Do you like to go shopping on Black Friday? My daughter is mad I have to work it this year. I told her we could go out at 4 am, she gave me the look, if you know what I mean?
Have a great weekend.

Hi CJ - so did you go to the movies? I hope so - it sounded like the best idea!! Are you cooking Thanksgiving dinner?

I did some more shopping for you this weekend. Just need a few things to finish up so I can get your package out to you. Besides your tree is there anything else special you do or collect for Christmas? I am going shopping this weekend and will be on the look out!!

There are so many new awesome scrappy items in the Two Peas store!! Anything you can't live without that may not be on your list?

Have your kids made a list for Santa? Anything special on them? Do your kids like to scrapbook with you? I would like to include a little something for them in your package so I am just trying to get a few ideas. Do you guys make Christmas cookies together?

Hope you had a great weekend. Sorry I haven't been too chatty this time around. I feel like I never have a spare moment to get on here. Talk soon!! XO

Hello Shari:

Hope you are having a great weekend. It's been a quiet one for me and which I have enjoyed. It's raining here today so I feel a nap is going to be happening really soon.

We will spend Thanksgiving day with my family and have lunch and then that evening we will go to my husband's family for dinner. We do a lot of eating in one day, but it's always fun. What are your plans? Are you going shopping on Friday? I'm not. I have to work but even if I were off I wouldn't go. I did that last year, stood in line at Wal-Marts for a TV that they had several days later for the same price. I use to love to go shopping on Black Friday, but now I can't stand all the crowds.

Your box is almost finished, just a few things left to get and it will be postal. Probably right ater Thanksgiving.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Happy Sunday Tracyarts. I have wrapped and stuffed all I can possibly fit into your box and will be mailing it from the good old North Pole to you tomorrow. I have a few things packed in for your Thanksgiving pleasure and hope it makes it to you in time. If not, you can save for next year. Obviously it's not a pumpkin pie! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm not doing anything special, just my usual. I'm going to just hang out with a couple good friends and possibly a few other people.

I will let jenettycakes know the dc number when it is mailed.

Vanessa, glad the package made it to you fine - it went slow for priority, I figure it must have had something to do with storm Sandy. I bought one of those silver bracelets for myself, the lady selling them was next to me at a recent craft show and I thought they were so unique.

Good Monday morning Sharon! I also wanted to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving in that sunny So Cal sunshine I bet you are having. Any special plans? Over here we are traveling just a state away but nothing unmanageable (no airports)! I am looking forward to seeing family as we approach the holiday season.

Can I also say I am in awe of your work. I saw a pennant piece, I think it was your Fall one posted, with the rolled papers and must say that is the neatest thing! Those are so unique and fun.

Wishing you a fab holiday!

I came home from a LONG day to the most wonderful surprise from Erika Bardo, my secret sister. It made my day. I'll take pictures and post them a little later. We're in the middle of packing for a road trip. We're leaving at 2 am, and I have so much left to do. But coming home to that box today was amazing. It is truly a box of scrappy fabulousness. THANK YOU!!!

Hi Becky!
Sorry to hear you have to work on Thanksgiving but I guess when you have done it for a while you just get used to it. It's nice of the hospital to give everyone a turkey dinner(even if it is pressed turkey-lol). I'm glad you get to have leftovers. I think the leftovers are sometimes better. So how are your grandchildren? Have you done any babysitting lately? I'm sure they love when they come to your house because they get your undivided attention! Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I have picked up a few things for my daughter but I really have to get my act in gear. I like to be done shopping at least 2 weeks before Christmas. I do a lot of baking so I need the time to take care of that. Hope all is well and I'll check back in soon. Have a great day.

Hi SecretElf! I'm good, how are you? Yes, I've started on my Christmas shopping and have quite a bit done. Mostly the granddaughters but they are where all our money goes...LOL We usually do cash for the kids since I never know what they want/need and who doesn't need cash? I had my bazaar table this past weekend and made about $275 so that will be nice for some extra spending money. Yeah, I don't mind leftovers...I love turkey sandwiches. I won't have the sandwich part this year but I can still enjoy some turkey. This dieting crap is for the birds...LMAO... I should've been born skinny! Hope you have a great week and hope you have an awesome Thanksgiving!!!

My husband said it was him or scrapbooking... so I took pictures of him packing and made the cutest page ever!

I got a pile of scrapbook supplies for my husband. It was the best trade I ever made!

Hello April,
Hope all is well. Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Are you cooking? I am having dinner here, not too big a crowd, so won't be too bad. I love to have family over. I am looking forward to putting the tree up this weekend. We will watch The Santa Clause, tradition, while we do it. Hopefully my grandson will leave the tree alone and we don't have to barricade it again this year.
I brought something new to decorate outside this year it is a laser projector that will cover the house in what will look like snow. Can't wait to set it up. I am going to go out tonight, late, so neighbors don't see and play with it. I won't turn anything on till after Thanksgiving dinner, also tradition. Whole family will go out for lighting, at who's ever house it is at that year. Fun.
Have a very happy Thanksgiving.

How is your week faring? Looking forward to the holiday? Are you traveling or staying close to home? We are traveling ourselves and will be celebrating with family on the CA coast - can't say I mind at all. A trip we are all looking forward to.

I have a few more gifts I am gathering up for you and hope to be sending it your way this weekend so plenty of time to arrive at the very beginning of December.

Have a wonderful night & sleep tight!

Hi Mrs. Santa -

Did you get your rainy day nap in? Sounded like a great plan. My son doesn't nap anymore but every now and then I can talk him into a snuggle with his momma!!

We are going to muy aunt and uncle's house for Thanksgiving so I only have to make a dish or two. I do go shopping on black Friday but not early. My dad, stepmom and brothers (and wives) go to Appleton every year for the weekend after Thanksgiving. We all shop, eat and hang out. It's a lot of fun but the crowds are pretty busy. It's been a tradition for a long time - since I was in college!!

I am hoping to get my Christmas decorating started this week and next. My son wanted me to start it the day Halloween was over. I think I have held him off as long as I can. It is supposed to be nice here tomorrow (for November in MI) 55 degrees so I am planning on decorating my outside porch and back entry.

I hope you have a happy and blessed holiday!! XO~Shari

Hi Christmas Surprise! Thanks for the message & don't worry about not communicating too much. The time is just flying by & I completely understand about getting busy!

I'm so with you about getting that last little gifty something before boxing everything up & shipping everything off. I keep finding items for my ss everywhere I go. . .even at the supermarket! Last minute ideas for me would be chocolate(!), teas & magazines (Real Simple, Martha Stewart). I'm on a retro Christmas kick recently, glass ornaments, tinsel/foil, antique santas, nutcrackers. I'm dying for my parents to go through their old Christmas ornaments, which I know are up in the garage rafters.

Thanks for thinking about my kids! My son is going to be 9 next month & loves sticky candy (like Jolly Ranchers) right now since he got his braces off. Baseballs cards, Pokemon cards & Bakugan cards (trading cards) are high on his list also. My daughter is 7 and loves kid puzzle books, washi tape and glitter markers (can never have too many of those). Hope that gives you some direction.

All ready for Thanksgiving? We have some friends & their kids coming over tomorrow. I'm kinda wigging out, not because of the food, but because everyone in my family is coming down with some kind of sick bug. I feel like putting on a biohazard outfit so I don't catch the germs. I think we all just need a couple of days off from work & school! Are you visiting family or staying home? Going to BF sales? So tempted to go to M's, but I'm going to resist. . .I think.

Anyways, great chatting with you & hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Tracyarts, I tracked your pkg and it says it was out for delivery today. Oh, I hope you were able to get it so that you can use a couple items I jam-packed in there! I won't reveal myself until I know you got the pkg, but I did let you know who I really am inside the box.
