Hope your week has been good and that you weren't in the path of Hurricane Sandy. We were under a Tropical Storm Warning where I'm at so we just got lots of rain and wind Saturday. My thoughts and prayers are with all the folks further up the coast.
Do you have any plans for the weekend? I don't have any major plans. Mr. Santa aka hubby has to leave Sunday morning for Pittsburgh, PA for two weeks. He is going to help open a new market area with his company. I'm not looking forward to it.

Hey there, Rene'! Sorry I've been MIA a bit - been Crazy with all the Halloween hubbub! Now that Halloween's over I'm ready to get back to creatin' and shoppin' for you Have some super cute ideas - wish I didn't have to work so I could just be crafty all day, everyday - ha!

How was your Halloween? We had a great one with our kiddos! My oldest went as a ghost (yay for me - cheap and easy costume!) and my 8 month old just wore his cutesy little Halloween onesie and pants with a pumpkin appliqued on the tooshie - sooo cute Glad it's over, though, so I can look forward to Christmas - my FAVE holiday of all!!
To answer some of your questions: I have two children, both boys, Seth is 5 years old and Andrew is 8 months. I don't really have any other hobbies right now because I don't have the time - ha! But I would say reading and watching feel-good, girlie movies are my other favorite pasttimes. I like to collect owls - cutesy ones I do love lotion - clean scents are what I prefer, nothing fruity. I do love to bake - always looking for new recipes to try. My fave gifts to give under $50 would be anything homemade, wine (I'm a whino!!), clothes, scarves. And my fave gifts to receive would be gift cards (to my fave stores like Target, or crafty stores like Michaels, Hob Lob, Archiver's, etc.), anything to do with wine! We are also about to build a new house, so anything decorative or gift cards to stores like Homegoods, Kirkland's, etc.

Hi Sparkle My project for right now is making stuff for a craft show!!! Plus shopping for my SS!!! Both are fun. Weathered the storm pretty well here. Lots of wind and rain but no real damage for us, water in the cellar but the pumps did there job and we didn't lose power. We were lucky!!! Have a great week-end everyone. | |

Hi Angela, hope you had a good Halloween. Ours was cold and rainy. We only had 7 trick-or-treaters, did you get very many? We didn't do anything for Halloween, no parties or anything else, just passed out candy.
Are you going to the baptism and birthday party this weekend? Have fun!!
What are you doing for Thanksgiving? We are hosting which is fun, but it always stresses me out trying to get everything ready. 
Have you started your Xmas shopping yet? I've only bought a couple of things, but don't really start shopping until later this month.

Hi April,
Sounds like your red transformer had a fun Halloween, Spongebob sure did. I stayed home and gave out candy. We had a little over 100 kids, a little less than last year and of course I brought more candy, I almost ran out last year. It was a little chilly but the rain held off till the end, most of the little ones being done.
Hope you are studying right now, good luck on your test. I have to work this weekend and I will be going, with my sister, to watch some marching bands compete. That is always a lot if fun.
I love to work in my gardens too, it is sad that they are coming to an end. I will be cleaning them out this coming week and hopefully be finished with all the leaves.
Right now I am switching around the summer clothes for the winter ones. Next, taking down the Halloween decorations. Where does the time go?

Sorry to hear that you have been sick.
I hate Bronchitis, I have had it three times in my life each more miserable than the last. The last time it was combined with strep throat....horrible. I hope that you get to feeling better soon.
I hope the storm didn't do too much damage.
My Halloween was....well just another day. hehe. I don't have any children and we live in an apartment with very few children. We did have a zombie running around in the parking lot at work though.
Do you have any children? If so,What did they go as? (Assuming they are still that age)
I am loving the Melissa Francis "Countdown to Christmas" line. I think I pretty much covered everything else in my list.

Hi Crafty Elf!
I just passed out candy on Halloween too. Maybe 35 kids and adults came, all at once. I got back from a Day of the Day event at a local cemetery tonight. It was pretty cool. They had Aztec dancers, Mariachis, a procession, and mass. They even passed out Forest Lawn swag bags!  They passed out pan-sweet bread, cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate. Karen Carpenter is buried there as well as one of my exes.
I can't sleep! I'm going to the Baptism tomorrow morning and out for dim sum after. Sunday I have to sit down and make some more holiday to do lists. My family decided to come down and make another Disneyland trip before Thanksgiving so I'll be extra busy. It's free veteran + guest admission month at Knott's Berry Farm this month too. I did some Christmas shopping for my SS. Do you make anything special for Thanksgiving?

Hi Sparkle Paper pads mostly 8x8 but some smaller. The 8x8 if I'm doing cards get 2 out of one piece ect... it just seems i get the most out of them. If i use them for matting pic I have a couple small pieces left over for the embillishment that way they match. Hope your week-end is enjoyable!!! Mine I'm spending in the craft room Hubby is riding the motorcycle too cold for me sooo craft room I hate that!!! LOL | |

Hi CJ - Sorry I haven't been on here much. First I was sick then had about 100 things on my plate. Hoping this week has a little more "me" time. haha
Sounds like you are busy with your kids!! I'm sure the holidays will be even more busy - but fun!! Do your kids know what they want for Christmas yet?
I am married, have one son - he is 5, 2 labs, 2 cats and my son's fish. I have a full time job as an office manager for an Electrical Contractor, sell Tastefully Simple part time and also do party and wedding decorating. I try to spend as much time with my son as possible. Some days I feel like that's not much!!
I really don't read much other than magazines. I used to love to read but feel like I don't have a lot of time now. Do you enjoy reading? Hopefully some day I can get back into it.
Have you thought of anything you missed on your scrappy wish list? Love all the new things coming in!! Now I just need to start using what I have so I can buy more!!
When do you start Christmas decorating? Do you collect anything for Christmas? I can't wait - I love to decorate. I will probably start soon. I always have my Tastefully Simple open house the first Thursday in December so I like to have it all finished.

Hi SantaElf,
thank you for the great Halloween card that was waiting for me in my mailbox when I got home Wednesday, it put a big smile on my face. Halloween was fun, we got home just in time to pass out candy to the trick or treaters, which I always enjoy because I love to see the costumes they come up with. It seemed like October flew by so fast, that I decided to hold onto Halloween for a few more days and pack up my indoor decorations on Monday. After that, I've got a couple of weeks to plan out Christmas decorations and figure out how to decorate around the psycho kitty. The others leave things alone, but the one cat cannot keep his paws or teeth off of anything like greenery, silk flowers, ribbons, feathers, etc...
Hope your Halloween was a fun one, and that you have something nice planned for Thanksgiving,

Yes,I have a big shot, a cricut, and quickutz I love embossing folders.
I have a lot from stampin up and a few tim holtz ones. the snowman one with the snow flakes and the bulap one not sure if that's what its called or not, and one more set not sure what it is tho, have to go look oh I think it's another Christmas one, the one with the numbers on. Getting ready to leave going to a place in MD. called Woodies. Seafood mostly Hubby loves it me not so much don't eat seafood LOL But it's a fun day there, they have cute little shops along the street ect... Should be fun!!! See ya have a great day.

I've been paying attention to the news from the east coast and hope you made it through hurricane Sandy safe and sound, and aren't having too many problems during the aftermath.
On a lighter and happier note, I'm making a lot of progress with gathering up goodies for your swap box. The "big stuff" has been ordered and is on the way to me, and as far as your ornament, I got lucky and totally nailed it right off the bat! Now comes the really fun part! Going out to the shops and picking up all the little treats and trinkets that make a swap box so special.
And I have a question for you about stamps and stamping supplies. Aside from the ones you listed on your questionnaire, what else are you looking for?

Hi CJsChristmasSurprise! So glad to hear from you! Don't worry about not being too chatty. Between getting sick & everyday life things get busy. Hope you are feeling 100% now & are checking off the items on your "to do" list.
I've been so busy with Halloween. Somehow I volunteered to head up my dd's class party & that consumed every spare minute in the weeks leading up to it. Soooo glad that is over. What time I had left was spent raking the millions of tree leaves that are on our property. There is literally an orange/brown carpet of leaves everywhere. Too many maple trees! My dh & I spent the afternoon cleaning out everything & now my body is screaming in agony! After the kids go to bed, I'm getting a hot cup of chai vanilla tea, some leftover Halloween candy & parking my rear in front of the tv to watch Walkind Dead & The Good Wife. If I fall asleep, even better!
Hoping to get some crafting done this week. I need to finish up my 30 Days of Lists which should have been finished in Sept, catch up on PL & just scrap some layouts! It's been too long since I got my craft on.
