Pennants should be arriving today according to the dc's.
On a side note, Christmas must arrive by the due date or I will swap the pieces out as-is. I will include blank piece(s) to supplement any missing ones as it isn't right to hold up the group's project that has such a short time frame to enjoy but pray this isn't the case. I STAND FIRM IN THIS DECISION. |

My house is a disaster... Big remodel going on with a claw foot tub and toilet sitting in my hall. Piles of Sheetrock and every tool known to man...That being said, i am not decorating this year. I am going to save the pennants for next year. I support your decision Jeanette |

I completely, 100%, whole-heartedly agree with your final decision Jeanette!  I hope everyone sends in on time but I would rather make a pennant or two then be forced to wait until next year to use this one. |

I totally agree with the decision however I think you need to make sure EVERYONE understands what you are saying because your first post says:
DUE IN THE MAIL:
Happy Harvest - Monday November 5th
Merry Christmas - Monday November 26th
"Due in the mail" and "due date" are two very different things.
If everyone does not understand then there will be hurt feelings. | |

Prosperina - thanks for mentioning that, all my swaps are clarified from the get-go of the date the swap needs to be POSTAL. If someone waits until the very last date to mail then you better provide a delivery confirmation/tracking number otherwise you've had ample amount of time to prepare and send. I refuse to hold up swaps especially when they are time sensitive for usage such as these. With the wave of late shippers recently, I am more determined to meet the group's expectations of sending their swap in a timely manner. You do have an excellent point and I feel from now on if you ship within the last 2 days of the due date (postal) then it must be priority mail so I can have a means to track it and expect it.
Hope everyone enjoys the fall banner as it is adorable and hanging from my mantle. Have this say I do miss the Halloween one though! Wll be looking forward to displaying it next year. | |

One other point. I don't know if there is anyone from Canada in this swap but it takes a lot longer for their packages to get here. If they wait to ship on your due date we are still going to be waiting awhile. I see that happening alot. I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings from Canada. Just making a point. |

No one from Canada is in this swap and like my other swaps, SS specifically, due dates to/from are 7-10 days in advance. So far no one has joined from up North or abroad for that matter. We've had a Great Britian, South Africa, Mexico, Australia and a few others in the last 7 years which was great fun but had definite time restraints as well. |

Jeanette--I agree with that "in the mail" date.
I don't, however, have banner pieces to decorate for Christmas. I really only have weekends to make these since I now work 2 jobs during the week. Therefore, I probably need to get them by Thanksgiving so that I can get them done that weekend and make the mail date.
Do I owe you any money?? I will be happy to paypal whatever you need! Anyway, let me know if you can get these to me soon. Thanks! |

Hi--reaching out to Jeanette--I am not sure you are getting my emails or pea-messages! I need banner pieces for the Christmas banner. I need them soon if I am going to make the due date, I can't do a one day turn around since i work my 2nd job next weekend.

I hate to do this to you guys but my Dad passed away suddenly on Friday. I have these completed and was ready to mail them Friday morning, but in my rush to be at his bedside I completely forgot to mail them.
I am out of town and will not be home to mail them until Wednesday. I can mail them 2 day priority so they should get there super fast. Or if there are people that cannot wait I do understand.
Please let me know.

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts during this time. Dad was a one of a kind man and I am still in shock that he is gone.
As for the swap, I dont want to hold anyone up but I do have them completed and hate to see them unused. I have no problem mailing these on Wednesday as I have to be home for an important meeting at work, I will actually be in late tomorrow to prepare, but it will be after the PO is closed. I work right next door to the PO so running it over and mailing it after lunch on WED is not a problem.
Please let me know if that is ok with you guys. | |
