TAMMY no the headgear, or better the band that goes around his tooth to hold the headgear won't be fixed til Wednesday as the Ortho only works that day at the clinic. Not thrilled we have to wait nearly a week...especially since Owen is the one who needs the most movement in his mouth, but that's all they'd do. Said the Ortho is the only one who cements in the bands...whatever.

It's nasty out today, rain and wind but no Storm Sandy so I shouldn't complain, except we have a frisbee game in it later. Brrr.

Finished a LO for the digi-random ppr challenge.

Have a happy scrappy weekend.

Praisemark

Been a busy busy month around here. Today we had to work on Alison's island project for class. She had to create her own island and make it out of salt dough. She named her's Cat Island and shaped it like the head of a cat. We got the dough made and she shaped it and added 20 landforms, now we just need to wait for it to dry so she can paint it and label her landforms. Thursday night was the girls Halloween carnival at school, we had so much fun and there was no school yesterday (Friday) for Nevada Day.

Debi - glad you were able to get your van fixed for less than you thought. I don't seem to have that kind of luck, always costs me more LOL! That stinks about the headgear. What a pain to have to wait a week to get it fixed. Glad you're feeling better.

Diana - glad Daniel's surgery went well and you were able to be there for him.

Tammy - hope Becca's feeling better and you get some answers from the neurologist. Hopefully part of Gary's severance package will include a few months of COBRA payments. My company paid us out a 3 months cobra with our severance.

I know there was more but I didn't open a new window. So for now I'll just wave a big hello to everyone else. All that praising made me want to scrap. Maybe I can sneak up to my desk and get a page done. Hmm....

nice to see you VALERIE. Hope you got your scrap on.

Survived the Ultimate game but it was chilly, although the rain had stopped. We lost 11-3. Kid's hands were too cold to catch/throw a frisbee very well. Glad it's over. The boys have showered to warm up, and practiced their saxophones. I had another bowl of soup...Yum!

And finished this layout.
Picture Perfect

Hmm wonder if I can force myself to do something constructive now?

Morning all! Sending prayers to all those in line for the Frankenstorm on the East Coast as well as those affected by the earthquake in Canada and possible tsunami flooding that resulted in it. Firm believer in the end of times are close!

Happy Sunday Peafriends!

Just thought I'd run by and catch up a bit before I head out to church. I've had a really busy weekend, had to work til 9 Friday night and all day yesterday. It was a strategic planning retreat...of course I think "retreat" is a misnomer, it wasn't that much fun. Today I have church and then Grandpa-sit. My sweet hubby did get the kids to help him do a lot of the household chores yesterday while I was gone, which was super sweet of him. I got home and only had to mop the floors and it was all done. Gotta love that man.

NOTE: Please send me all of your challenges by noon on the 30th. I've gotten several already, but I will be doing Halloween stuff on the 31st, so I need it a little early this month. Thanks ladies, you're the best!

I read the chatter, but have to run to get to church on time. I'm also praying for those in the path of the storm.

Hope you all have a relaxing day,

Tina

We made it to the pumpkin patch between downpours yesterday and then carved our pumpkins last night. Bobby ended up missing out after all (we had waited so long to go to try and get all 3 youngers to the patch) because of work. The martial arts studio puts on a parents night out halloween party, and he spent part of the day working classes and part of the day setting up and then working the party. I was not a happy camper-partly because he didn't have his phone and we couldn't reach him and partly because of his lack of communication with us about how involved his day would be there. I know, typical 15 year old boy. it just gets frustrating.

Prayers for all those in the storms path. praying for safety for all. We didn't feel the earthquake up in BC last night, but I bet Josh did since he lives up near there. Haven't talked to him yet to find out. Theresa- the end can come anytime, I'm ready!

Good morning!
I'm sitting in my pjs sipping an Oregon chai latte. It's going to be a pj + scrapping day today It turned out to be a pretty busy weekend. I hung out with my cousins on Friday - went to my cousin's daughter's school Halloween party, took the kids to get some popcorn after school, went to my old college's Fright Night (games, booths, & trick-or-treating through the dorms). After that, we got pizza & watched Halloween movies til pretty late. Yesterday, we all slept in (haha), then I stopped at Archivers to check out their sale and did some stuff around the house. Got invited to a Halloween party at the last minute & went to that with my friends. It was PACKED - not kidding, at least 100 people

Tammy- That's a bummer about Bobby not going to the pumpkin patch, but that all does sound very much like a 15y/o boy! Glad you got to get some good pumpkin patch photos - I kept wanting to go with somebody so I could get some good pics, but never happened

Tina- Bummer about your "retreat." They attempt to make it sound better with that term, huh? I'm trying to think of a stash challenge to send you... I should have kept track of all the challenges starting in January, because I can't remember what we have & haven't done!

Valerie- Good to see you! Thanks for praising all my layouts... that was sweet of you, being as busy as you have been!

Waiting for Randy to get finished doing sound for the second service before we go to Joyce/Charlies for lunch. Nothing would do but her fix dinner today. Said she "had to do something" so we're going. Really would like to stay home and take a nap. Our church is having a hayride, weenie roast this evening but I don't think we're going to go after all. The change in the weather has already affected my sinuses, don't want to be outside for hours, it's only 45 degrees too!

Tina, yes, work retreats are far from a retreat!

Monica sounds like you've had a fun filled week.

Valerie, the cat project sounds fun. Don't have to tell you to take photos.

Debi, bummer about the headgear.

Can't remember anything else. Need to go make a list for the grocery, going to stop on the way home.

Just jumping in to make a Praisemark from here back to page 6.

Have a great day, girl. Gotta get ready for work.

p.s. we got a car not the one Larry was originally looking at because although that looked good on the outside, it didn't drive well at all. Of course as desperate as he was, the one we got is a little more than we wanted to pay, but it looks good and runs good.
So he's feeling a weight off his shoulders, and I'm definitely noticing
I'm not as stressed as I was. He delivered the keys to me at J's yesterday among the miles of people we had in line...too funny!

TONI glad you got another car. It'll make things easier.

MONICA you are a busy girl. I get tired just listening to all the things you sneak into a day. Hope you got some photos at those Halloween parties.

The boys aren't sure they want to dress for Halloween this year...after all they are 13, but heck, if the school says you can dress up, I'm all for it. Even if we have to go to the ortho in the morning; I may be in costume even if my kids aren't. LOL.

Didn't feel the quake here either...nor had I heard anything about it. No Tsunami warnings either. Guess I should check the news.

Been doing nothing but busy work...organizing scrap supplies (it is a necessity isn't it?). Been opening zipfiles and tagging kits...takes forever but so nice when I want to search my stash, I can just say "purple ribbon striped" and all options pop up for me to choose from. I like digi for that reason. Been organizing my LOs too. Getting ready to back them up.

Mostly I'm just hanging and not doing the stuff that needs to be done like cleaning my dining room table...I'm hiding in the other room so I don't have to look at it.

No scrapping yet today, but it's only 3:30 so there's still time, maybe.

Debi

Good evening all,

praise mark!

I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. But it's WAY too early (7:45 pm) to go to sleep so I'm sitting up in bed, laptop-ing and relaxing.

I finished BOTH girls costumes yesterday!! Hooray! What a load off! I do have to re-fit the leotard that is the base of J's Ariel costume, but that will be a 20 minute job I can do while she's in school tomorrow.

After running 8.5 miles this morning (11:51/mi), we took the girls to the pumpkin patch, then to the beach. We got home about 5 pm, bathed everyone, made dinner and...well, that explains my nodding off while I type this.

Theresa -- some how I missed your post about Big Doc defending you. It's ABOUT TIME!! And it sounds like your manager finally removed his head from where ever it might have been. I sure hope that means they will retract the written stuff. Mostly because it impacts you financially and that is not something to take lightly...that is basically stealing from you. Anyway, I hope your sinuses are OK and that you got done what you needed to this weekend. How was dinner with Joyce?

Debi - I tried to send you a PeaMail but I think it didn't work because of my internet issues of late. Not sure what the trouble was. I'll try again after this post. Also, BUMMER about the head gear issue. Losing those few days is a bummer, but soon it will be taken care of. I will be so impressed if you wear a costume this year! I'm done with that...too much trouble when I'm making them for 2 little ones.

Diana - how's Daniel? Recovering well, I hope!

Toni - YAY for new wheels. What a load off, huh? So glad for you.

Linda - so, down to 1. That's probably a good thing. Make sure he's good to you.

Tammy - that's a lot of children to wrangle into one activity. I'll bet its not the last time Bobby has a schedule conflict! I can imagine how frustrating to not be able to get 'hold of him. *sigh* Could be worse, he could be a teenaged GIRL!

Tina -- a long time ago I decided that call them 'retreat' because they make you WANT TO RUN!!! Keep us posted about that new job...waiting with fingers crossed. (I'm trying to remember how Michelle says that...blanking, though. )

Valerie -- did you take pics of Alison's project? Gonna scrap it? (Or did you already do as much with that as you ever want? )

Boys managed to finish carving their pumpkins but they're already getting mushy so hoping they make it to Halloween...oh well, the fun part is done. They carved them as Family Guy Characters (Stewie and Brian, the dog)I think they did a pretty good job of it too.

Here's a LO from me today

Good Monday Morning to all! Is there really such a thing?

Sending prayers to all in the storm's path. Said tonight should be the worst of of it. Of course with all the anticipated snow and flooding and if the power gets knocked out as much as they say it will could be a long week or so for everyone and not just one day. Know we have Katy and Kim right in the direct path. Not sure of any other Pea friends but do know that my son's in-laws are all there too.

Speaking of prayers, could use some too. The person they got to help me is having her surgery today so she'll be off for who knows how long. They're going to have the person that normally does the front desk help me. I need prayers for patience so I'll not only keep my mouth shut and not be sarcastic but that I will also remember that if mistakes happen, they happen and I can't control things that are taken out of my hands.

Good Morning Sweet Peas!

I have two big projects going at work right now, one is the opening of a new office in a new area for us. I get to go pick out furniture this morning, so that will be fun, I like spending other people's money. I think doing the decorating is fun and I love the building that we are leasing, it's cool architecturally.

Theresa - I'll pray for you to have patience with your helper being out. Controlling my tongue is also the thing that I need divine intervention with from time to time, so I can relate. It would be good if there were a bigger lag between whatever biting thought passes through my head and when it shoots out of my mouth.

Barbara - Good job on making costumes for your little sweeties! Can't wait to see the photos.

Toni - Yay!!!! So glad you guys were able to get another car, that has to be a huge relief. I'm sure Larry does feel better about it too, hope it makes things less stressful at your place.

I can't believe I've gone all month without posting any LO's, that is the first time in a really long time that I didn't get stuff made. It has been such a busy month for us though. I do plan to do some serious praising later today, I do want to see what fun stuff you all have been working on, even though I was a slacker.

Well, I need to get moving. Have a really nice day ladies.

praised up again

Good morning Chatty Peas,

I had bad dreams about this Sandy last night, so I am on line checking to see her status. Turns out I would rather chat with you all now that I'm awake. Now that I'm up, I can't seem to get myself to read the current news coverage about the storm. It can wait a few minutes, right?

Theresa -- you won't read this until today is over, but I hope you can 'hear' me. I am soooooo like you (and apparently Tina). I used to wish I could have a coach follow me through my work day reminding me to be nice, even if someone didn't deserve it--to be professional in the face of incompetence...So today I will be 'in your ear'. Let's see if you hear me. Good luck. Don't let the turkeys get you down!!

Tina -- wish I was shopping with someone elses $ today. That is always fun! I'm missing your LOs, so hope you can get back to creating soon.

Debi -- did you take pics of those jack-o-lanterns?? I would looooove to see those.

I'm saying prayers for anyone who's in Sandy's path. They're keeping the stock market closed today (and tomorrow too, I think) because of her. She's one nasty broad, this Sandy.

I hear two litle girls stirring in their respective bed.s I'm off...Have a good Monday, everyone.

Two from me:
You fly

This wasn't for a challenge, just trying to get last year's Halloween done, lol.

My family

Als just a page about Sean's very cute picture of our family. Please note the baby in my tummy!

I never even made it on here the last few days. On Friday the 2 older boys had their inter-house sports day at a local athletics stadium and, though it started out rainy and cold, it turned into a beautiful day and many records broken. Not by my kids, lol. They inherited my athletics abilities, namely none. But they took part and earned a few points each for their team.

Saturday Kyle had a birthday party then Heinrich went to work and I ended up watching Smallville on my laptop. Sunday e both woke up with a migraine, so we were down for most of the day. I think it may be due to the birds we have nesting in our roof above our bedroom. Today is quite warm and there is a funky smell... maybe bird dander giving us the headache, as the kids are fine (and slept in other rooms).

Kyle's abcess has gone so we are all set for his op on Friday. Ruan goes back in an hour for the second lot of fillings. Thank goodness no pulling of teeth today!

Debi - these things do seem to go in cycles, don't they. Fisrt it's cars, then teeth, etc. Everyone seems to have related problems at the same time. Bad luck about the bands. He isn't keen on them anyway and now this!

Valerie - that project sounds like hard work but a lot of fun. Kids can come up with the weirdest names for things (Cat island)... we have a lizzard called Jessica... Hope you can get a little scrapping done.

Wow, with no TV, I'm really missing out on news! A earthquake in Canada? A huge storm hitting the US? What on earth is going on with the weather? It is just plain weird all over the globe. Our eastern coast had huge floods this past week and Natal had a hailstorm with stones as big as tennisballs. Thousands of houses had windows broken and cars were damaged. Thinking of all of you who are in the storm's path.

Tammy - that sounds just like a boy, no matter what age. He knows where he is and what he is doing, so why would anyone else worry or need to know?

Monica - good for you having a relaxed day. You are always so on the go, you need a little downtime. Heard anything about all the job applications yet?

Oops, need to run. Will be back later...

It's Monday again. Where does the weekend go? and we even had a 3 day weekend. Hope everyone on the East Coast is staying safe. Looks crazy out there.

I am supposed to be upstairs switching out the girls summer clothes to winter but I seem to lack the motivation. Could be because it's still supposed to be in the 80's this week. Their closet is a mess and I really want to get it reorganized. I have managed to get dinner in the crock pot though.

Tina - have fun shopping, always fun to decorate on someone else's dime. Even if it is just office furniture.

Toni - Yay for another car! I can imagine the relief. Wish we were in a position to get another car, this chauffering business gets old, especially when Toby works swing shift and the girls have to be at school at 7am.

Monica - Jealous of your PJ and Scrapping day! I never did make it up to scrap .

Barbara - Yay for making the girls costumes. I made Alison's dress this year but she ended up not liking it and wore one of her recital costumes. Actually it's the one in my signature without the tutu underneath. She wore it with lime green tights and a blue wig. It was her own version of Katy Perry. Jordyne went as Rupunzel this year. My girls went as Ariel and Flounder 6 years ago. I wasn't as good as you though, I bought their costumes .

Theresa - sending prayers for strenght today! Hope it wasn't too bad.

Michelle - Alison just had an abcess on her tooth too. Had to have the tooth pulled, in the process the dentist pulled the one in front of it too since it was pretty loose. The next day she lost one on top that was a little loose. Poor girl has no back teeth on one side. Hope the rest of the boys dental work goes smoothly. Jessica is a fun and unexpected name for a lizard.

Well I should probably run. I have a blog post half finished and I have to be at the school to help in class.

Have a safe and wonderful day everyone!

Well, we were down (2Peas) for a while but seem to be back up. I am still cleaning my craft room after the chaos of making costumes over the weekend. By tomorrow I should be all back to normal and ready to scrap again.

Have another wedding to do (make invitations) for a family member (another cousin-nephew).

I hope everyone is having a lovely evening. Stuart is staying over the hill (near work) and girls are down. *I* get to take a long hot bath!

See ya tomorrow.

Well Sandy has hit the shore line and it looks horrendous! Biggest storm ever, over 520 miles wide. Caused snow in Lexington Ky today! Crazy. Atlantic City, the WHOLE city, is underwater. Now I don't mean buildings totally underwater but every single street is flooded. And that was 2 hours BEFORE it hit land. Over 100,000 people without power. Scary scary!

Certainly puts my little problems in prospective. Didn't have to worry about not being patient with my "help", I didn't get any help. Seems they aren't going to let her help me at all on BD days because he thinks he needs 3 techs rooming his patients. Then we had a call in for the receptionist that has been filling in for the last couple of months so they sent someone that is new. She did pretty good considering! We didn't have a lot of patients today so that was good. I warned BD first thing that he was going to have to be more patient and not act like an ass (he told us to tell him when he was behaving like one but I'm the only one that will). After he fussed about not having enough staff like I could just pull someone out of a drawer he actually did put on his best behavior all day, although he still acted like an ass a few times, thankfully it was just a few times. I told him when he left that other than the few bad moments he did good. He just laughed and said he told me he'd try. Going to be a long two months is all I can say!

Well, I finally managed to turn the TV OFF. I find myself so distraught over what is happening on the east coast, I can barely function as it gets worse. *sigh* I took a bath. That helped.

I sure hope none of you have loved ones living through this nightmare.

I am so ready for Hallowe'en. A day filled with make believe, candy, fun and frolic! It can't come soon enough for me.

OK, I can't seem to relax enough to sleep, so I'm off to StumbleUpon!

Well looks like Sandy may have kept a few people away today. Hoping everyone is doing ok and that damage, if any, is minimal.

Talked the boys into wearing costumes tomorrow to school. Owen is going as a prisoner and Noah as a Hippie. I was hoping one of the boys would go as Sherlock Holmes, but no takers. Me? I might try Nicki Minaj...but it'll be a stretch...I'll take photos if I try it.

Kids were at their dad's, I was at my mom's so not much happening here today.

Will check in tomorrow. Anyone know how take the calories out of halloween candy?

Happy Halloween all! Going as a worn out nurse!

Didn't realize Randy would be home this afternoon so may not have enough candy to pass out and I forgot to buy candy to take to work for the kids that come by today so I have to get out early and hit the store before work. We never know if we're going to have trick or treaters here or not because the city does downtown events and then my church and another church both have free inside events to attend. I normally go there and help and have only been getting two or three kids here at the house in between times. I am just too tired this week to even attempt to go so when I get done with work today, I'm coming home. Randy doesn't have to go in until 7 p.m. and work the overnight for end of month inventory. Since a body will be here I better have candy!

Need some Pea Prayers. We have a very active atheist in the community that has starting causing a lot of problems with the school system. She home schools her kids (age 8, 7, and 5) but has decided that she doesn't want voluntary prayer included at school board meetings, doesn't want the Gideons to be allowed to pass out Bibles or doesn't want AFTER school activities with religious base being permitted (like Prayer around the flagpole, Fresh Start, etc.) My prayers are for her and her husband and for her kids who are small and will end up being targeted. This is even more important to me than it would normally be because the man is Jackson's uncle. Jackson's Dad's little brother. The community is in an outrage and they're including Jackson's family in the talk about atheism. Trish, Greg and Jackson are not atheists. Jackson's uncle wasn't until he married this woman. I've seen some pretty ugly remarks and to be honest they're hurting Christians more than the crazy woman. Please pray that God will work in our area.

Barbara- how's the costumes coming along?

Theresa- will be praying for your community.

Happy Halloween! Joey and Becca both have parties at the same time, so splitting my time between them. I just realized my huge tupperware bowl that I put the candy in is missing. trying to think where it could be or used it for some function and left it behind. Need to find it because it's the bowl Grandma makes cookies in- she'll be here in a couple week! Will look in the teachers lounge at school today.

Have a great day!

**Happy Halloween!**

I'm spending Halloween with my cousins, and we have a busy fun-filled afternoon & night ahead! My cousin (Ashley) & I are going to her son's school Halloween party. Right after school, we are taking her kids up to her friend's house to get them all dressed up & makeup on. Dinner at Sonic for the kids(they have $.50 corn dogs all day), and trick-or-treating the rest of the night! We'll probably end with some Halloween movies & candy sorting

Tomorrow I am babysitting my cousin's baby, Sophia (the one I posted pics of) for the first time! Exciting I was actually really surprised when she asked me... she has been super protective of Sophia and not wanting other people to babysit!

Need to get going -- I hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Owen got his bracket replaced without any lecture from the ortho and for the very first time he said Owen is doing a good job cleaning his teeth-YAY! Now both boys are scheduled for extractions on the Nov19th and braces on Dec5th...bling in time for Christmas (I feel a LO coming on). BTW the ortho dressed in a bee costume, and one of the receptionists dressed as President Obama (and did an amazing job with it) I got a photo of her (him) shaking Owen's hand (as he was in prison attire) telling him she (he) can h elp him find a job when he gets out...LOL It'll be a LO soon you can bet.

Kids refuse trick or treating, instead I told them if they left their costumes on I'll take them out to dinner. Gotta show off costumes somehow. LOL

Now back to the regular programming.
