@Rachel - your album looks so cute! and you DD is so cute too! I missed out on newborn pics with DS and didn't find a photographer until 3 months. Now I'm excited for her to do newborn pics of DD whenever she arrives.

Amelia did NOT cooperate today. She wouldn't fall asleep and kept pooping. I warned the photographer that she poops a lot. So we ended up keeping her diaper on for the last half of the session.

She also peed on me. Haha.

Can't wait to see the finished product!!

Rachel, cannot wait to see the photos. When Jonny and I went to Montreal to visit his Grandma and Cousins, he took the baby photos for his cousins. Raena was a month old but didn't cooperate either... plus Jonny had her in a basket and one point and she tipped herself over LOL

@Lisa C - I sub to 3, but I have VERY little time to scrap. Getting these kits really forces me to sit down and use them. In November, I'll be receiving only kits from Citrus Twist and Gossamer Blue because I opted out of Scraptastic Club. It is really cute, but I really like getting a healthy mix of brands for my pattern paper (kind of like Studio Calico but cheaper). I'm happy if I get about 3 layouts per kit; even though I could get a lot more. After I'm done with my minimum of 3 layouts I add the extra bits and paper to my stash.

I've been a busy girl the last couple days, so I feel behind on the posts. I'm enrolled in 6 hours of graduate classes while working full time and nursing my youngest. Let me tell you that this is one of the hardest semesters ever for me. I'm ACTUALLY considering dropping one of my classes after our first exam. I just feel that I cannot devote enough time to all of my studies, family, creativity (which I'm CRAZY without), nursing, eating, and sleeping. I'm mentally overrun and overwhelmed right now. I think next semester it will be a little easier for me to juggle everything. If I drop a class then I need to pick up two in the Spring or two in the Summer, so we'll see what I decide to do. Just plain WORN out.

What is everyone's weekend plans? I need to complete a discussion this weekend and read 4 chapters for classes, then I'm going to get a little scrappy (just stay up later than usual) I MUST use my new kits!

LOL - I know I have an issue with priorities when I'm at home. I study much better outside of the house

Gabrielle: you are a busy lady that's for sure. Try doing the summer courses if you drop one, but h
Keep hanging in there because it will get better. Hope you are able to keep balancing everything.

Rachel: sounds like you had a fun filled morning. Lol hope the pictures turn out beautiful. Also can I get a link to your blog so I too can see the album you are working on for Millie? Thanks

This weekend I plan to scrapbook, no knitting, clean ( finish organizing clothes), and try to kick back as much as possible before hubby leaves Sunday for his follow up interviews until Tuesday and a wedding to attend that week. I just hope to honestly play with girls as usual and finish up 7 pages for my moms album tomorrow. The weekend I will just wing it.

Thanks for sharing Rach! For some reason I can't see anyone's signatures anymore. It's so weird :/

Is that PL I see? I'm so tempted to jump right on board with that. I think it would be such an easy way to start scrapping especially since this is Sawyer's first year of life, you know?

How many of your YS out there do PL? Where do you buy your stuff? Do you buy the BH kits or just 6x6 pads and go from there? Do you use 4x6 pictures? I want to join this club, but I'm just not sure where to start

Please enable me...

I just started as an easy way to document Millie's first year. I ordered a variety of BH page protectors and WRMK page protectors. I am using my stash plus the 6x6 papers and journaling cards (Ali Edwards) that I ordered from here. I figure I can scrap seasonally within the album. I like it so far!!

Rachel: thanks. I can't see signatures either. I am LOVING it and honestly never thought to use my 6x6 paper pads for it. Cute kitty too btw. I feel so lost without FB or blog anymore. Hoping to get a blog going soon, but don't know how to get started. Need help with a name.

I don't use PL for every day documenting like others but I use the idea of photo sleeves, journaling cards ( Becky Higgins or homemade) and pictures. I should have some pictures in my gallery in Lailani's album. I think I will be documenting every week come Jan. I might end up buying paper packs or using scraps if any for the album though. I will be purchasing her school cards and baby cards though for sure. You should take the leap to the dark side

Awesome thanks Stephanie!! Now I have all the signatures. Yeah I just turned in one of my assignments, and I'm about to just head to bed. I stayed up last night till 12 turning in another assignment for my other class, so I need to catch up on sleep. I'm sure I'll be up uber late tomorrow studying and getting scrappy afterwards whee! I love to MAKE time to scrap...

To you PLers, where do you get those great protectors? Which ones are your favorites to use... it looks so great, and you're so right I don't have to do things on a weekly basis, but I could just slip in a picture and journal at a time to keep up with our daily goings on

hey girlies!
I've been pretty down this week... Just have a lot of stuff going on. Between my brother moving & trying to find an affordable oral surgeon & dealing with teeth pain & bills bills bills & all that fun stuff. Ah well, I guess that's life.

Tomorrow is the start of CKC here in town, though, and I signed up for a volunteer session. For 4 hours of volunteering, I get a free pass into the vendor fair, $20 voucher, 50% off a t-shirt, and a "special" gift. Not too bad! So I plan to do my volunteer shift and then shop the vendor fair. I'm excited!

Saturday I have a Tastefully Simple party to go to, but other than that I plan to scrap & participate in World Cardmaking Day.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Hopefully I can keep up with the thread this weekend! So much chatter!

Gabrielle- Welcome! I am Julie, 25 from Arkansas...I have a boyfriend of 2.5 years and love to ride horses in my spare time. About your PL question...I am doing it this year; this is my 1st year. I didn't buy the BH kit. I am using WRMK or AC page protectors with the 4x6 horizontal slots. I am using just whatever PP I like (I have been buying some 6x6 pads to use, also), plus date stamps, washi, paperclips, etc. I use 4x6 photos, or if I use smaller ones, I just mat them on cardstock...just whatever works

Steph- That sounds fun, it's always nice to have a good dinner and not have to do the dishes afterwards

Elizabeth- Thanks I have been pretty involved in horses since I was around 11 years old...more so in the past 5-6 years. You should definitely give your girls an oppurtunity to ride a horse a couple times if you get the chance...I highly recommend it

Melissa- Congrats on the new job! Hope you recover from your cold soon. And wow...28 cousins?! I can't imagine LOL. I have 4 cousins Love the pic on your blog with the nose picking...hehehe.

Christina- My favorite colors are palomino and buckskin or dun...my neighbor has one of each and they are both gorgeous. Her buckskin is my favorite horse to ride just because she is soooo smooth. Tip would probably like you, he is super friendly and sociable with people

Monica- Sounds like you had a nice, relaxing day! I'm jealous, I haven't read anything in a while...I wish I could sit down for two hours to read lol. When is National Cardmaking Day? Have fun at CKC

Rach- Sorry to hear Millie didn't cooperate for pics...but, I'll admit, I did have a giggle about how it went

No big plans for me this weekend, just work Probably a football game tonight to watch my cousin play. I am trying to take it easy...not sure if it is the weather/seasonal change getting me, or the fact I am staying busy, but I have been in a 'blah' mood lately and so tired. Today is better, so far. I wanted to scrap last night but was ready for bed by 8:30...but, I just forced myself to do SOMETHING, so I made a new page for BF's firefighting scrapbook. I really need to update my gallery here with new stuff...I should work on that

Gabrielle: weR page protectors and albums. Love them. I order through Joann's when it's 50% off with an extra 15% on top plus free shipping. Love it.

Monica: sorry you feeling down hopefully CKC is just the ticket to boost your spirits. Went in Houston and I didn't buy much, but had fun looking around at all the great papers. Have fun!

@Elizabeth - do you know when another sale like that will happen at J's??? I really want to get some blk WRMK albums and some extra page protectors, but everytime I look on J's site the albums are either not listed or they are not on sale. How did you get the extra 15% and free shipping too? I've checked M's, HL, and J's here and none of them carry these albums. And I'm too cheap to pay $30 for an album...

@Loni: Ooooooh, a rainbow challenge!!! I'm going to try my best to fit this challenge into my schedule. I haven't had time to scrap in so long. I'm sorry you're sick.

@Monica: I'm glad you enjoyed your crop, but sorry that you're sad about Justin and Amy moving. I hope you both have a good webcam.

@Steph: Happy Anniversary in case I forget next week!

@Elizabeth: We get loads of colourful leaves here. It's already winter though, which sucks. We pretty much went from a mild summer straight into winter weather. I've been trying out knitting but it gives me carpel tunnel

@Bing, other Lisa and Gabrielle: Welcome! I'm Lisa, 25, from Ireland. My girlfriend of two and a half years, Deedee, lives in Texas so we make lots of trips over and back. I like music and reading and I'm currently studying multimedia production although I'm already a qualified midwife.

@Julie: I know what you mean about the first half of the year dragging and the second half going really fast, can't believe its October! Are ye having a celebration for your bfs graduation? What does quarter horse mean?

@Caroline: I like to start my Christmas shopping early as well, haven't done any yet though. I'm kinda nervous about how cold its going to get this winter. I've been wearing my winter coat and mittens since the middle of September.

@Nicole: Congratulations on the pregnancy!

@Caro: I'm still sick. I really don't know whats going on. Good luck with school!!!

@Christina: I'm sorry you're overwhelmed with Uni work, I definitely know how that feels. But yay for getting paid lots of money!

@Rachel: That sucks. Some babies just take a little while to get the hang of it properly. The pages you're doing for Millie's scrapbook look great! Its lovely seeing more picks of her. Eureka is a cutie too. The newborn pics sound like fun.

@Melissa: Congrats on the second job! And happy birthday to your granddad! My nana is 89 tomorrow. I like your new layouts. I have about 25 cousins and nearly all of them have other halfs and at least one child.

@Gabrielle: You sound SUPER busy!!!

I'm still pretty sick, ladies! I'm better than I was but nowhere near cured yet. All remedy suggestions to get rid of this cold are happily welcomed! College is going well. I got the official result of the last assignment I handed in at it was upgraded to 100% from the 95% I previously stated, so yay! I had another assignment due in today, one due monday, and another due wednesday, so that's keeping me pretty busy. I'm also class rep, have weekly choir rehearsals (and I'm probably going to be on the choir committee) and am part of an LGBT society that meets at least one day a week, so I'm a busy bee!

I'm taking a group of international students to Cork tomorrow (Yay for getting paid!) and have to finish up my assignments sunday.

Hey ladies,

At work today and the ballroom is looking amazing. Maybe amazing enough to deter me from wanting to elope! So beautiful, will post some pics on instagram!

Lisa, what did you guys do in cork? It's definitely a crisp winter's day out there today. My next mission is to find a nice pair of brown leather boots. My legs are really skinny so tend to look like twigs inside knee highs so maybe a calf length pair would work...omg, you have a busy schedule. Mine is going to get that way really soon - it's probably a blessing that the boy will be away weeks at a time on placement...I'll get loads done

Mel, I'm going to a canadian thanksgiving dinner on Monday. Bf has lotsacanadian friends so we've been invited. Will be celebrating along with you

Julie, I was involved in horses when I was younger and had my own pony...now I'm older I'm a bit nervous so don't like horseriding anymore...

Monica, sorry to hear you're feeling down...hopefully you'll enjoy CKC ( excuse my ignorance though, what is it?!)

Rach, I am so loving that you are calling Amelia Millie, it's the cutesy name. Think it's just made my list (might have something to do with the fact that she's the cutesy baby ever though, loving the pics)

Loni, sorry to hear you are sick, you feeling any better. I need to dose up on vitamins this winter as the demanding schedule, cold weather and being around lots of smallies means I could be more prone than usual!!

For our new girls, welcome! I'm Caroline, 30, Irish, just moved in with my boyfriend of 8 months (yes that was quick but when it's right it's right!!). This weekend will be spent doing more DIY, organising my study and going for my first ever run (eeek!!) - we are trying to get fit so bf is insisting that I go out running with him!!

Melissa- Pizza from scratch sounds yummy right now. Did you make the crust from scratch also?

Lisa- I'm not really sure if we will do anything for celebration or not. He graduates early on a Friday...surely it won't take too long. I bought him some gifts, but I'm not sure if his family will want to go out to eat or anything, so I guess we will play that by ear. Oh, and a Quarter Horse is just a breed of horse...they are the most familiar breed used in rodeo type events, but also excel in other disciplines (jumping, dressage, etc.)

@ Caroline - Lovely to meet you! Before we got married my husband and I moved in together after dating for 3 months. We were engaged at 6 months, and we married 1 week before our 1 year anniversary. When it works, it works

We've been married 6 years now, 2 kids, a dog, 5 residences, 3 cars, and 2 college degrees later, lol. I was 20, and he was 22 when we married. We had our daughter when I was 23, and my son this year (26).

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian peas What are your favorite meals to eat this holiday?

Also Happy WCMD!! I rarely make cards, but I'm going to make a couple

Nicole: they usually have that say omg every few months. Over the spring and summer it felt like every other week honestly. I get their emails and I believe they have their coupons on the site. And if you spend over $50 which is easy with page protectors and albums you get free shipping. Something you have to keep an eye on.

Lisa: try the wood needles. My fingers cramp up a lot, but I take breaks and since I switched to using the light weight wood ones it doesn't hurt much.

Okay I only had a chance to glance read, but I am going to drop by later tonight. I am hoping to do a spread or two for my girls album using CTMH magic book. I made my first ever flip flap mini album last night so I need to find a 6x6 paper pad to use and embellishments. Hope everyone stays warm (cold here) and has a great weekend.

Caroline: We went to Blarney and then to the English market and let them wonder around Cork city for awhile. It was good fun. You'll definitely need boots! It got warmer as the day went on but it was still pretty chilly.

Julie: Thanks for explaining, I know nothing about horses except that they're pretty

Rachel: Hi! I hope you guys are doing well.

Elizabeth: Thanks for the tip. I'll look into getting wooden needles.

Just stopping in for a quick hello, I have an Anatomy midterm on Tuesday so I need to know all the bones, parts of bones and muscles for that, then a Philosophy essay due on Thursday and a zoology paper. So much for Thanksgiving haha. Happy Thanksgiving to all my other Canadian ladies!

I'll catch up with you ladies soon hopefully, actually doing homework this year, playing volleyball and working at the same time sucks up so much time. Goodness gracious.

Happy Saturday ladies! I worked 9-1 today, so instead of a 3 day weekend, I got two which is still okay!

Melissa: I'll have to definitely look into getting a box in the states. Not sure if it would be worth it for me because I buy a lot of stuff from Canada normally anyways so. Looked at your new LO. Love them!

Elizabeth: Earlier this week, were you knitting something or what were you doing that you ran outta yarn? I've noticed all the things in the clearance bin, but with living in Canada, it's tough to just put in an order for a few things as I pay about $20-$30 in shipping every time.

Rachel: Super excited to see new born pictures of Millie She is super cute! Loving the album you've been making for Millie. Love the way you've decided to make it, with like the PL aspect.

Gabrielle: I think i'm going to start a kit club in January! I'm just trying to decide which one. Like you, I like the variety in papers and companies! I just don't want to spend a lot per month, but I feel like I may buy less supplies. I don't scrap 12x12 as much as i'd like. I make more cards and mini albums, cause I struggle with making 12x12 so i'm hoping kits may start to help me. I noticed you mention PL. I think i'm going to do it next year! I'm super excited to do it. I wanted to start a blog too at one point, so I did but I suck at keeping up with it!

Lisa: Hello! You have a great name ! I hate being sick too And when i'm sick, it sticks around for a while. My immune system sucks.

Caroline: Did you have lots of people tell you you guys moved in too soon? When I got married I had a ton of people tell me that I was too young and shouldn't be getting married. I just kept telling them that this was the way I want to live my life. I say if you're happy, then that's the way to do it.

I hope all the rest of the Canadian ladies have a wonderful thanksgiving! I'm going out for supper for my grandparents anniversary tomorrow, and then going to my father-in-laws for dinner Monday! I will probably be scarce next weekend, as i'm going to a crop in a school a few minutes out of Medicine Hat for 3 days! I'm super excited. I'm going with my Momma and two family friends! Other than that, my weekend should be pretty mellow. I am hoping to make some cards tonight for National Card Making Day! I am a card maker, so I guess I should honor the day!

happy World Cardmaking Day! And happy Thanksgiving to the Canada girls!

My bestie & I had a much-needed girls' day today We shopped at the CKC vendor fair (spent WAY too much). I'll have to post a pic of my haul tomorrow! Then we were starving, so we pigged out at Olive Garden. We went to Maurices to shop (her first time there) and I got some cute fall tops. Then we spent some MORE money at Archivers!! I think the cardmaking bug bit me, because I am all of a sudden itching to start Christmas cards Amazing, this is early for me to start! So I got some goodies to get me started.

Tomorrow I am determined to have a crafty day at home I can't wait! Is anybody going to be around? Maybe we could try a mini virtual crop!

Happy Thanksgiving all the Canadian ladies! Hope you have a wonderful one. Love thanksgiving and all the yummy food and watching the girls make turkey prints. Fun.

Lisa: I was knitting a capelet (circle scarf that sits on your shoulders to keep warm) in white with cables. I did pick up my yarn yesterday, but haven't even looked at it since I took today off from knitting to make 3 mini album bases and decide which papers to use. Tough decision because I don't want to cut into my full size paper if I'm not committed. I am doing one 6x6 MME Miss Caroline which I am LOVING. I will post a picture of the scarfs when they the last one is completed. I wasn't able to purchase anything because I just placed an order and need to save some money for BH's products in December and I need some more adhesive since I am down to one roll minus the one in ATG gun.

Well ladies I had a fun, cold day of crafting. I made 3 mini album bases two 6x6 and one 8x8 with flaps which came out pretty good just need to add paper and embellish. Really hoping to finish the Miss Caroline album. So beautiful. Might go pick up some more this week if it's on sale. I am so beat so I am hitting the bed. Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.

Monica: I will be around today (hopefully finding time to make my layouts). Hubby. Is going on 2nd call interviews and won't be back until Tuesday so I doubt I will have much free time. He is also taking the IPad so I will be left with my IPod. I have a desktop, but it's in my room and with the girls I tend to keep out of there. How are you going to do the mini crop.? Interested, but not sure IPod is going to give the best results.

It is so here. I started my first fire of the season and bought out the heated blanket. Warm. Got my hot coco, but totally missed out on having marshmallows. I hope to get some cleaning done, scrapping, and rest today.

Caroline- I understand how that is...I used to be a lot more fearless than I am now. I hope the love of horses never leaves me, though

Glad to hear everyone is doing good today! I am doing a happy dance that this is my 'Friday'...I worked Sun-Tues, was off two days, and then have been working Fri-today...I am ready for a break
It is freakishly cold here all of a sudden...we've been having 70-80 degree weather for lows, but yesterday and today, it was 50 degrees and cloudy and ohmygoshsocold. Eesh.
I haven't done much this weekend so far other than work. My friend is in town for the weekend, and I got to see her and her pregnant belly for the first time in person . And spending time with the boyfriend, renting movies And doing some Christmas shopping online, so it won't be a last minute thing in a couple of months, hehe.

I will be scraping today. After lunch.

My agenda is pump, feed, change, get little one to sleep, scrap. Repeat.

I'm here! Just spent the last hour trying to get my scrap stuff put away & my room cleaned up. I scrapped at my friend's house on Wednesday night and now I've pretty much decided it is too much work to pack & unpack scrap stuff for scrapping somewhere else just a few hours...

I'm going to start on cards soon! yay!

Rachel- LOL, I like your description of your routine!

Steph- Happy anniversary! I saw that you guys went to dinner? What else did you do? Gotta get that mini done, huh?! We can keep each other on task today

Elizabeth- Bummer about only having the ipod. Can you still chat here on the thread?

Julie- It turned cold here this week, too. But too cold so soon! I hate that... almost like it skips right from summer to winter now with global warming. I hear we are in for a nasty winter, too

Julie C, probs not worth it either to drive if your not fairly close. But maybe look into it just to see. Thanks

Happy thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians! Hope you all have a yummy dinner.
I am thankful for my happy and healthy family and friends, my loving and hard working Jonny, a rewarding career, living in Vancouver since its such a beautiful city, being able to travel freely and being able to afford my scrappy addiction!

We do need a chatroom... That would be fun!

Melissa- how mean! I can't believe that some people have nothing better to do with their lives. They're just jealous!

I still haven't done any cards yet. I keep getting sidetracked!
